Great Family Getaway

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Big yard, lots of room to run. Three story house, garage on the first floor (no access, but no real need). Second floor has the living, kitchen, laundry and a small sleeping area. Third floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Located south of Houston, short drive to downtown, the Space Center, and everything else in between.

The house was great. Just what I was looking for. Close to where we were going to be and east to.

The stay was great. Great response from the property manager and was a great experience. Can’t wait to book again for next years Stockshow and Rodeo…

Christmas visit

We rented this while visiting family. The location and neighborhood were great. The house was a little outdated (stained carpet, fabric couches) but was overall clean and inviting. It was fair for the price. The host was easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner. I would stay here again!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house is at the end of a nice quiet subdivision, no dealing with downtown parking issues. The decor is very cute and the home is comfortable and has everything you need. The main entrance is actually up the stairs so there's a nice little balcony/porch to hang out on. There's also a covered area in the backyard with a path through the woods that leads to a pond. We already have plans to stay here again, and would highly recommend it. While we came alone, this is an excellent place for a large family to visit.

Here it is…

So my family and I needed to stay somewhere for a few days between our move from TX to FL. I was told when I booked I would receive a message closer to our date. Never received anything. The day of our check-in I didn’t receive anything. Check-in was at 4 o’clock and I never received anything. I contact the host via text and phone, nothing. I ended up calling customer service to figure out what to do because we couldn’t book a new home the day of and we have a huge moving truck, two kids and I’m 7 months pregnant at the time. It was beyond frustrating. Almost an hour and a half goes by and my husband is calling the host and someone answered but hung up. My husband texted his disappointment that this happened and we are trying to find something for our family. The customer service rep was very kind and was in the middle of booking us a hotel near by for the night in hopes he or myself could get in contact with the host. After an hour and a half or so the host messaged me through VRBO and apologizes that VRBO did not automatically send the check-in instructions. After long days of moving and that day having the movers and cleaning out our rental house, I was exhausted and didn’t want to hear it. It was upsetting and it left a bad taste in our mouth the entire stay. In regards to the house, it looks as pictures, but a little run down. My daughter was getting ready to shower in my bathroom and a slide fell on her face. There was a lady bug, wasp and beetle in the master bedroom which the wasp I was concerned about with our 1 year old. Whoever cleaned didn’t straighten out the rugs so they were scrunched and needed to be pulled in order to not trip. The garbage disposal smelt like spoiled milk. It wasn’t my favorite stay but at that point we just needed a place to lay our heads for a couple days before we left TX for good.
