Our Happy Place Farm - 2 Bedroom Cabin near Lake Conroe

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and sunset over a 1.5 acre fishing/kayaking pond. This 2 bedroom/2 bath features country living at its best. Located on 10 acres near Willis, Texas just minutes from Lake Conroe.

Events:
We're a great place to host birthday parties, family reunions, small weddings, and retreats (under 35 people).

Indoors:
The cabin is spacious with two bedrooms and a kitchen with a gas stovetop, fridge and air fryer. The table can seat 8, and there is another game table perfect for puzzles or poker. The cabin also has a washer/dryer. There is a master bedroom plus a bunkroom for the kids. The cabin is wheelchair accessible and has grab bars in the master bathroom. There is a full bath and a 1/2 bath inside, plus an outdoor shower. There is no smoking in the cabin.

Outdoors:
The outdoor patio is a perfect place to hang out and drink your morning coffee. The large fire pit is a gathering place to swap stories in the evenings and make smores.

We have two kayaks and two jon boats available for use on the pond. The pond is fully stocked and a guaranteed catch for kids! (Poles provided - catch and release only).
Smoking is allowed in the fire pit area. Cigarettes and cigars only and please leave no trace of them.

We have a pickleball court and can set up a badminton net for you as well.
You are welcome to hike around the property. There are plenty of animals to see - horses, emus, ducks, chickens and quail. We usually have baby quail too!

Other:
The cabin is next door to our home so all outdoor areas are shared. Please treat the cabin as you would your own home. No parties without prior approval, please. No confetti or glitter may be used inside or outside the cabin.

Wonderful hosts and quite place to escape the city. Was such a blessing for me and my kids to get away and hosts were so gracious with their time and showing kids the animals on the property.

We absolutely love this place! Upon arrival, directions from the host were perfect. The house was spotless and very comfortable. They have a few horses roaming that are gentle and nice. They also had two, occasionaly three, dogs that were sweet, gentle, and well mannered! The dogs were a big plus for us as they are the same breed as our own. We stayed for two nights while in town for a wedding. We will most certainly be back whether we have somewhere to be or not. Highly recommend!

We found Our Happy Place to be spacious, straightforward, functional, clean and in order-plus the unique rustic features and thoughtful touches made it fun! We had full use of the expansive grounds, pond and interaction with the farm animals with lots to do. Our hosts (and their dogs) are welcoming, gracious, helpful and generous folks. We appreciate the kind attention and are looking forward to staying again sometime. Our dog didn’t want to leave! Many thanks for the hospitality and all the best to you guys!

Beautiful property. Lots of nature. Lots of animals. We absolutely loved it. It had everything you needed for your getaway. The owners we met were very nice and helped us with any questions we had. They are pet friendly and so we were able to take our small dogs. They even had this awesome barrel dog bed. My brother lives in the area so definitely would stay again.

Awesome property & hosts!

Our Happy Place Farm is a wonderful getaway location, with 2 friendly free-range horses, Butter and Tug. They were eager to eat carrots and apples from our grandkids. Tim and Becca have done a great job in creating a relaxing place to share with our family. Lots to see and do on-site.The pond is full of fish, kids caught bream and hubby caught many big bass! Could not have had a better stay!

Very peaceful and beautiful property

We absolutely love this property. It’s so beautiful and peaceful. The property is well maintained and the host is very kind, friendly and responsive. Their horses, miniature ponies, emus and cats are so sweet and funny. Really enjoyed feeding and visiting all plus the chickens, quail, ducks and baby quail.

Weekend Getaway

We had such a great time! The property is so peaceful and pretty. Our dogs had the time of their lives playing with all the friendly farm animals. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. The property was also close to great waterfront restaurants. We would definitely come back!

The host is a great person! He may our stay great. We have teenaged boys who had a great time fishing the pond. Small children will love the animal on the place. Also you’re in the “country” but 5 minutes from everything else. It’s the best of both world. We will be back this year and next.

If you don't stay here, you've made a huge mistake. Everything was beyond excellent!!!!

The cabin was more than enough room for all of us. There was five of us with the youngest being a three year old. The owner Tim was wonderful and entertained us with a walk of the land and introductions to all the animals. We also played a little pickle ball and a camp fire. Absolutely the best memories made here. Recommended to everyone.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

This was an exvellent choice for our family get together. The Cabin was very well laid out and had all the comforts we needed. The property was enjoyed by each family member in many ways. Our hosts were so hospitable. Our exuberant 9 year old pup has a special affinity for cats (and not in a good way) so we were prepared to keep him on a lead line, in a crate or suitably contained all weekend just to prevent any kitty encounters. Our hosts were so gracious to let us know when their kitties were safe inside so we could let our pup enjoy romping in the fields with their dogs. We were able to enjoy the wedding we were in town for and the venue Iron Manor was 15 minutes away. This is a special Happy Place and we would live to return.

Short Stay with Family for Wedding

We were in the area for a wedding and needed a place to stay. We wanted somewhere much more homey and comfortable than a hotel, even for a short stay. We were extremely pleased. It was very comfortable and just what we needed! We felt very welcomed! The only regret I have is that we did not have longer to stay to enjoy more of this beautiful location! If we are in the area again, we will definitely choose here to stay! Thank you!!

We cannot say enough, good things about this property and its wonderful hosts. Tim welcomed us from the very beginning, and he offered suggestions to make us feel comfortable. We were surprised with how beautiful the land was, with its large pond and wooded areas. Having animals on the property was a bonus, and although our dog was a little hesitant around the horses, she enjoyed getting out and walking around the property. The cabin is very dog friendly, too. You will fall in love with the gorgeous GSP doggos running around! We also took advantage of the pickle ball court painted on the driveway. Being able to stay in this rental so close to where our son was getting married was an absolute treat, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful stay

This was our first trip with our baby girl and dog, and we had an amazing time in the cabin. This place is exactly what we wanted, relaxing, private, comfortable. The owners are so friendly and kind. We highly recommend it and hope to go back soon. Thank you!

We are city folks who gave up life in the city to enjoy some country fresh air and space for our animals. Covid opened our eyes about how we could break free and succeed in a more secluded rural location. Our goal was to become more self-sustaining than we were in our subdivision lot in Houston.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This property had been abandoned for years and actually made Becca sick to her stomach thinking about all the work it would require to make it livable. It took us 8 months of 16 hours days, to completely transform the property into a beautiful retreat. We still have much more that we want to do but, we have been blessed by getting it to this point.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The property has gorgeous sunsets and sunrises and overlooks a 1.5 acre pond/lake. The pond is stocked with bass and catfish (catch and release only). You can take a tour of our quail farm and operations and even pet the horse, emus, and feed the ducks, chickens and quail. We have two overly friendly dogs who are always looking for attention. It's a great retreat to get away from the city and enjoy the fresh country air and watch birds, flowers, wildlife, and the stars.
