Incredible Stay in Hermosa!

Spectacular stay, start to finish. Thanks to host Ryan for opening your home to us. Our family had always wanted to come to Hermosa Beach for summer vacation and this home did not disappoint. Beautiful ocean views, cozy big beds, right on the beach. We spent time at the beach each day and there are tons of food / coffee / bar options. It was great having parking spots for ourselves & guests, since we were so close to water & the boardwalk (the “Strand”) although we barely used our cars and just walked or biked everywhere. Clean home, cozy, convenient, and host provided best places for food, drinks, fun, bars all in walking distance (or a bike up to Manhattan Beach). One evening we walked to get drinks at Tower 12 then did a silent disco at sunset at the pier at place called Vista. We’ll never forget it and can’t emphasize how nice that was to then be able to walk home along the beach 5 mins away. The town is lively but also feels very safe here, very clean beach town! The homes in this area are pricey to rent, but we did our research and this home was perfect balance of reasonable price with size and how close it was to beach, parking, amenities. It had everything we were looking for: being so close to everything we wanted and having beach access was well worth the cost of staying in this area. If we ever needed extra snacks, drinks, or naps, we’d just come back to the house 3 minutes to the door from sitting in our beach chairs.

Great place close to everything

Overall excellent stay - The property itself was perfect for us, very responsive host, overall great vibe and the VIEW just made it - My wife & I rented this property to work from home for a month and a half this summer - It has a GREAT work from home setup there is a standing desk / double monitor setup (& you can see the ocean from the desk). Property was clean, high-tech (smart devices / lights / auto-curtains / etc.), all as the pictures show. From the balcony we watched some wild sunsets, dolphins swimming in the waves, and sailboats that must have a weekly group b/c saw them probably 7 times during the month - Nuts watching that while working with a cup of coffee on the couch. Proximity / location also idyllic, few blocks from pier to avoid some of the bustle, but we could walk down to different spots each morning on Pier Ave to grab coffee, watch the surfers, have breakfast - Also don’t have to deal with any of the hills in Hermosa / Manhattan (which I originally didn’t realize can get steep around here once you get block or two off the water) but b/c you’re right on strand, no hills, can just grab bikes and go! I will say parking was insane around the beach there but the garage spots had us covered majority of the stay, but if you have others visit (we had two families come stay as well for a few days plus other friends), just have to make sure you get outside spots early. Nowhere around there is cheap in summer, including this place, but still a great deal for being a block from the beach and all the perks, quiet vibe, parking, setup in the house, etc. - was well worth it to get so close to the strand / pier / restaurant scene and was obviously much more reasonable than a full house anywhere around here, let alone a block from the sand. Check In / Check Out smooth - Host responsive - 5 / 5 stars!!

Amazing Stay! One block from the water!

We had a wonderful trip at this property - Everything was great from the moment we walked in and were met with a sparkling ocean view. The place was clean, has a fireplace which we used almost every evening after sunset, and although it isn’t the largest option we had looked at, was plenty of space / open concept and was perfect for our trip just needing two bedrooms. The place is super close to the beach, which we took advantage of pretty much every day and made it easy to just grab all our beach stuff from the garage and head out to the water for the day - If we forgot something or wanted food/drink refills, easy to pop right back instead from the sand…. Last year when we rented a place for the summer we made the mistake of getting a close 10 blocks from the beach and it was tough having to take a car back and forth and worry about beach parking - At this place, that was a non-factor and made us just be able to enjoy the trip more. It’s close to Hermosa Pier too so we basically didn’t even end up needing to drive anywhere much. We liked the high ceilings too… Gave lots of light - the automatic blinds were nice as well so we could put them down to watch TV during the day (big TV and sound system too!!). It had TWO garage parking spots too, even tho we didn’t drive much it was life saver with people coming over to visit and was secured with a remote gate so made going to the store, having friends over, etc. easy. - Don’t think that’s normal around here based on searching other units before we booked this one. Thank you to the kind host as well - We will certainly try to be a return customer!
