Peaceful solitude & access to local attractions (including the Allegheny River within a short walking distance) make this the perfect getaway for rest & relaxation. A large, fenced-in kennel and pet-friendly home interior provides the confidence of knowing your furry friends are taken care of--because you can bring'em with you! With two bedrooms, large couch, and fireplaces both outside & in, this cottage is picture-perfect cozy captivation! ***While we do allow up to 6 guests to stay at this location, it only comfortably sleeps 4. We list 6 because we have guests who like to pitch a tent in the secluded back yard or put an air mattress in the living room. There are only two beds.***

Great Place

Location , cleanliness, host, and views were awesome. Working in the area and it was a nice place to relax after working all day. Quiet and clean. Host very responsive.

My wife and I had an amazing weekend anniversary trip at this cottage. No-nonsense, fenced rear dog yard, cool AC, clean sheets, abundant blankets and towels, great water pressure, great location near lots of hiking and a short trip to Franklin/Oil City/Slippery Rock, and a very warm welcome from an amazing host. What more could you ask for? We would happily stay again!

Nice quiet getaway

This house was located right next to the Allegheny river. We enjoyed a nice walk in the forest to see Freedom Falls and then got a good nights rest.

The cottage was perfect my friend, my dogs and I. It was comfortable cozy and relaxing. Slept very well and easy drive to the Franklin Apple Festival.

Nice cabin, very responsive owners. My only small complaint is mattress in the small bedroom is a bit worn out. Overall nice place.

Short vacation by the river

The cottage was clean. Shower was awesome! It is a small house but we found everything we needed. We went biking hiking and canoeing. It was a lovely long weekend

Excellent getaway

I wish there was river access, but the views were phenomenal and the creeks were close. The host was quick to respond and very kind. Coffee and eggs were provided!! The kennel out back was perfect!!! Thank you so much, I hope to stay again next year!!

anniversary stay

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage near the river. We explored the area, went to the waterfall, the bike trail tunnels, Drake's Well and attended church there. The dogs loved their stay and the A/C. While the bed was super comfy-it sits up really high. Everything was there that we needed or could have wanted. Everyone was super friendly when we walked the dogs in the neighborhood.

Plans rained out, so we had a cozy night in.

The beds were very comfortable. Great weekend get away to hang out with our former grad school roommate (best man at our wedding/ godfather to our kid, family). I wish we had realized the two bedrooms were connected in the manner they were, it was a little awkward. Otherwise it was lovely, thank you so much!

The cottage was fully stocked with all the essentials. There was nothing to do around the cottage. Couldn't get to the river, no internet service, no signs marking where attractions are located.

Perfect for our needs

Stayed here while visiting family in the area & it was great to be able to bring our dogs along. The fenced area in the backyard is a very nice amenity. The house is clean & well-appointed with anything you might need. The water pressure in the shower is AMAZING! One bed is super soft & the other sits up high & is more firm, but both were comfortable. As it says in the ad, you walk through one bedroom to get to the other, which didn’t bother us at all. We will definitely see if this place is available the next time we’re traveling to the area.

Brief respite

We booked the cottage last minute on our way to the east coast after our previously booked lodging cancelled. The owner was quick to respond and the property worked perfect for our needs. It was a nice place to relax for the evening and get some sleep before we got back on the road. The kennel was also great for the dogs after a long day in the car! We did note there is one panel shorter than the rest right along the dog house structure. We were only there for one night and didn't look around much, so may have totally missed a panel that could go there, but it's something that may be worth asking about for those staying longer than we did with bigger dogs or those that are jumpers. Thanks again for the great stay!
