Hermosa casa privada en un vecindario tranquilo en aguas abiertas en Maratón orientado a la familia. Con 75 pies de muelle privado de aguas profundas. Rampa pública para botes cercana (Dodge Lake).

Prepare comidas en nuestra espaciosa cocina nueva o visite uno de los excelentes restaurantes de Marathon. Baños y habitaciones recientemente remodelados con todos los muebles nuevos.

Wonderful stay and relaxing vacation

Upon entering we were impressed by the view, the cleanliness of the home, and the location was convenient to many restaurants and grocery store. Although the airport is nearby, it is not a distraction at all, in fact we enjoyed watching aircraft flying over while enjoying the pool! The pool was our oasis and the outdoor seating areas were wonderful! The kitchen was very well stocked and organized with everything you would need to cook a meal! This was our first trip with our boat and the dock could not have been better, very adequate space for our 23 ft Key West. We loved every aspect of this home, we hope to be able to enjoy it again in the future! Thank you to the owner’s for providing such a great home away from home for us!

Marathon Paradise House

Property was wonderful. Dining table has sliding glass door with view of bay, facing west so the sunset is spectacular. House very comfortable, fell asleep every night on the sofa after a long day of fishing. Pool was great, waterfall very relaxing. Dock was spacious, plenty of water for wash off. Owner checked in on us since there was a tropical wave in the area. Overall, highest recommendations for this property and property management.

Great spot

We had a great vacation and will try to stay again. The property is as advertised and has everything you really need. We enjoyed the pool and the fish cleaning station.

Paradise

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week in the keys this house was superb. Loved the amenities the kitchen was fully stocked the outdoor area was beautiful and the large living area was a plus. The owners were super helpful and answered any questions. The cleaning service was still finishing up the day of our arrival and Ms Beverly was so sweet and wanted to make sure we didn’t need anything else. She even came back to bring a roll of paper towels. We definitely will be back and are planning our family vacation at this rental for next summer. Would highly recommend this property 10/10.

Exceptional Vacation Rental

This was the BEST vacation home that we have ever stayed in. The views are of the water/ocean. No channels to maneuver to get to the ocean. The pool was perfect. The house is gorgeous and abundantly stocked with towels, spices, you name it! The owners are super nice and fast to respond to any questions. We spent the week boating and enjoying that beautiful paradise. It was absolutely perfect!

Marathon Retreat Rental

Rod and Sandy's home is welcoming in every way- I usually travel with a giant plastic bin filled with everything from detergent and toilet paper to spices and my crock pot, WELL... this property has it all (even the crock pot!) which makes all the difference when you arrive to the rental. They have you ready to go allowing you to settle in and go to the market the next day... or the day after that ;). The house was very clean, organized and comfortable. The decor is beautiful, whimsical with all that FL Keys charm. You have a peek-a-boo view of the sunset but its a 3 minute run out the canal on the boat (or paddelboats) and the cove its in is peaceful and relaxing. Communication with Rod was great as well. Loved this home and hope to return again and again. Thank you Rod and Sandy.

Very Nice Place

I loved this property! This place was very clean; not many places are as clean as I prefer. I loved the amenities. Quick access to the bay and vaca cut. The pool was great to get refreshed after a day on the boat. Definitely would stay here again.

Gorgeous View with Lots of Wild Life

We have stayed at this property 3 times and we see something new every time. The visits from a family of manatees, a large turtle, multiple iguanas, and a beautiful white crane were a friendly reminder of God's special creations. The only thing that could have improved our stay was if the shower water temperature could've been more consistent.

Great house and location

The house and property is lovely, well kept and very conveniently located for our needs. The kitchen had all needed conveniences, beds were comfortable and everything seemed up to date. Favorite spot was the master balcony first thing in the morning. Also enjoyed a very short trip by boat or paddle board to see the sunset each night. Highly recommended!

Great house for the family!

We enjoyed our stay , the house was well equipped and very conveniently located near Vaca cut. House was updated and outfitted with every appliance and utensil you need for your stay . Very clean upon arrival and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We have rented in the keys for many years and this is one of our favorites!

Mixed review positives and negatives

First I will start with the positives. The house is very clean and has very nice décor. The upscale Trex deck and lighting outside is beautiful and nice to sit out on (has some shade cover). The pool was great with a sitting area in the shallow end. The open waterway was inviting (not stuck on a canal) Rod was quick to respond with our questions and concerns. Where this place falls short is a lot of little things that add up. Which for the benefit of the doubt could be the result of a new cleaning crew as Rod had mentioned. However; we came in to only the toilet paper left on the role for each bathroom (no extras). No paper towel, no extra garbage bags, no laundry detergent, no hand soap (although Rod had the cleaning service bring us mini travel bars of soap later on), no coffee, and no spices (just salt) - Rod however did indicate he would reimburse us for spices we bought, however at that point we already did our grocery shopping for the week. The other things that were not clear in the listing: 75 feet of dock space is not really the case, as Rod has his boat there taking up about half of this space. This was not made clear to us before booking. The layout of the house is all on the second floor. You do not have access to the lower level living space, which is not clear in the listing. Rod appears to have another rental space on the lower level, however he assured us it was not in use. The hot water was another thing. It took anywhere from 5-15 minutes to heat up, then within 5 minutes got cold and stayed cold for a few minutes then got warm again and repeated the cycle of cold hot cold hot. All in all these little things add up when your spending near $5K a week, you expect the five star amenities and accurate description to come with your rental. It did not ruin our vacation, we still had a great time.

Perfect Retreat

Our third trip here. We love everything about this property. Immaculately and perfectly maintained. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful pool with waterfall. Great views of the lagoon, manatees, turtles and other wildlife. High-quality appointments throughout the house including towels, linens and furniture. conveniently located in the heart of marathon. To us, simply a little slice of heaven.
