Uninhabitable, not at all as described.
We arrived at the residence late afternoon (the day scheduled for check in) and found the place to be uninhabitable. The first thing we found were clothes still in the washing machine and dryer, as well as trash in the trash cans. We also noticed a very unpleasant odor in the house, smoke. We reached out to the host with these observations requesting they be addressed and the response we received was “I don’t have an agent available to do that. Maybe I can ask a friend... pick a designated time to come by tomorrow morning and handle.” We went out to dinner and to the grocery store, and when we returned we discovered the refrigerator was full of old food, the beds had not been changed (hair in beds, STAINS on sheets etc) and there were still dirty dishes in the dishwasher. And although we had left windows open to air out the house, it still had a repugnant smell. When we went to park the golf cart we rented in the garage we found it completely full of junk and trash. I then communicated to the host that the house was uninhabitable and that we would be checking into a local hotel, where were we expected to sleep? His response was “No one has stayed in there in months. The beds were made by me this morning.” I responded that we were taking pictures to document the condition of the house. I wish I could attach them here. I highly advise you DO NOT STAY HERE. This was completely unacceptable.
