Nice location for a stay with family with kids

Stayed first week of August, so temperatures outside were around 100-110 daily. Everything worked as expected. Very beautiful place. Pool is really nice and it feels like being in the middle of a forest given the vegetation around.

Quick friends getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Indian Springs. Having chosen to go last minute and over a very hot weekend we were not sure what we would get. The yard/pool has some shade most of the day which was nice. One of the bedrooms was way too warm at night and one of the other beds could use some attention for how much it’s squeaks and rattles when you move. Easy location from the freeway, lots of shops close by.

Beautiful property, just not after a sandstorm

The interior of the home is beautiful, clean and welcoming. The entertain unit in the living room is overly complicated, and even though “directions” are there, nearly two hours of troubleshooting required disconnecting the TV from the surround sound. The backyard is a great size for a family with a little one and dog to play. Apparently there was a sandstorm a couple days before, and they didn’t get clean after that. We had to hose everything off and the pool was not covered, resulting in a murky experience. When we called about a cleaner coming, we weren’t able to get an ETA but they did turn on the heater for the jacuzzi and pool (just turn it on if requested - the water is freezing and you’ll have a better experience). Ruby and Nate were very helpful in our 40 hour experience.

Disappointed in Indio

The Indian Springs VRBO in Indio hosted by Vacasa was quite attractive with the north windows offering a gorgeous view of the mountains. The home was very clean and the beds comfortable. The aesthetics of the back yard with the pool and tub played a huge role in our decision to rent this particular VRBO. There were misting nozzles over the patio table, a heater (we didn't need this) along with lovely landscaping and plants that attracted songbirds and hummers. The mountain view was breathtaking. But unfortunately, first impressions turned to disappointment and frustration within a few days. We would NOT consider renting this property in the future. There was poor to NO heat regulation in the pool...basically it was cold. Once or twice it got up to its promised 86 degrees, but more often than not was a steady 77 degrees. This was a huge disappointment to the four of us as renting a place with a heated pool was one of the primary reasons we came to Palm Springs. We spent our vacation time and energy trying to get the Vacasa property management staff to rectify this, but in the end they were unsuccessful. The spa worked fine, but only 2 of the 8 days we were there was the pool at a swimmable temperature. This was hugely disappointing to us as it was why we came to Palm Springs. An additional disappointment was there was no working dishwasher the entire time we were there. Without a dishwasher we did dishes by hand. When we requested more dish towels, Vacasa promised but no dish towels ever came. Other minor problems were encountered, such as only one teaspoon in the entire house and lots of cooking utensils in the pantry BUT many had parts missing and therefore couldn't be used. For example the blender was missing the attachment piece for the blade; only two dishtowels in the kitchen; toilet paper holder in the guest bathroom was broken and fell every time it was used....we ended up just putting the roll of toilet paper on the vanity. Had we known the dishwasher was broken and the pool would be cold, we never would have rented the Indian Springs VRBO. It was a huge disappointment. When we expressed our disappointment to Vacasa property management, to their credit they acknowledged the fairness of our grievance and provided a refund for lack of pool heat and dishwasher amenity. However, due our experience in Indio, we would not consider renting a Vacasa-hosted VRBO in the future and have already made reservations elsewhere for 2003.
