Such a great cabin, and exactly what we were looking for! Perfect location for a secluded stay - a relaxing mix of woods, water, and nature all around. The hot tub with TV is situated right next to the river and was just perfect for relaxing in the cold and snowy weather. Communication with the hosts was timely and friendly. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We would love to visit again if we are in the area!

Host communication was prompt, helpful, and receptive. Location ideal for our group’s needs, in a peaceful and remote setting. House was clean, comfortable beds ranging from plush to firm options, kitchen well-stocked, plenty of bath linens and extra toiletry necessities. Hot tub was in working order and clean.

The cabin was great!! It was roomy and well stocked. The covered deck on the back of the cabin was great for hanging out. The running stream was relaxing.

Weekend get away

Visited with friends to do some ATV riding on the trails nearby. Unit was clean and met our needs Owner was accommodating. Would definitely return

Amazing

Clean, every need met, all that was advertised on the site was indeed there. If you listen to the instructions on the heat and air you won't have an issue. The wildlife was nice to watch. If you fish this place would be perfect even with a little hole you get big trout

Gorgeous fall getaway

The location alone is spectacular, particularly in mid-fall, though the boats are absolutely right that it's a cell phone wasteland. Fortunately the house WiFi can handle all but the most intense gaming loads (bandwidth is great but satellite-level pings) and has plenty of TVs board games, and other pastimes for those seeking a digital detox. The hosts were great with communication, offering to help when needed but also perfectly willing to keep a distance when we wanted to embrace the quiet. Everything was clean and well stocked, with modern appliances all around. If we want to take friends out to the country next time, this is the place.

House on a River

It was snowing when we got there and absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We woke up to 6 inches of fresh snow, and it was still coming down. We realized we were NOT going anywhere. So we went outside to play in the snow. The sound of the river was so peaceful and there were horses, 4 of them, just majestic! The hosts were wonderful! They they gave us food and offered to let us stay past check-out time. It was a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

Relaxing getaway

We were looking for a cabin/property in a rural area with a stream/river next to us. The cabin we stayed in clean, very comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. The area is beautiful and if we had any questions or needs the host was very easy to contact. We spent a lot of time on the rear deck whether it be chatting, playing games or eating our meals. The kayaks they provided were great fun for my granddaughter who imagined she was going down some serious rapids (she was not, river is shallow and it was quite safe). My in-laws were in the RV site next to us it was great for visiting. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with a small fire and having smores. If you are looking for a comfortable, modern, secluded cabin to get away this is it. I highly recommend this property.

Unterwalden, and the other cabins at Czar Haus, were built as a family retreat for Robert and Amy and their family.
This mountain hideaway offers seclusion, spring trout fishing and swimming holes for those long summer days.
Czar is at a crossroads. Five roads, 3 dirt and State Highway 20 pass through. This provides access to hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV, mountain bike or horse riding opportunities.
The Helvetia Hutte, a well known Swiss Homestyle Restaurant is 3 miles away.
Holly River State Park, Kumbrabow State Forest, The WV Wildlife Center, Snowshoe Mountain Resort and other attractions range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours away.
