Cozy cottage just one mile from the Platte river, close to the Sleepy Bear dunes

Fully remodeled cozy cottage with all new kitchen appliances, gas fireplace, and modern conveniences. Our cabin is surrounded by woods and great hiking and biking trails. Located one mile from the Platte river with it's majestic scenery and abundant wildlife, float to the mouth of Lake Michigan and Platte bay. The endless sugar sand beach and and dunes are breathtaking. The Riverside canoe rental is a must for canoe, kayak, or standup paddle board rentals. Conveniently located twenty minutes from Crystal Mountain Resort, twenty minutes from Frankfort with it's amazing piers, white sand beaches and the Betsie light house just minutes down M22.

What a lovely cabin for our visit to Sleeping Bear! Everything we had read online about the cabin is correct-- clean, updated and perfectly located. This may well be one of the most well appointed units we have ever rented. The host is friendly, helpful and quick to respond to questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My favorite part of Cozy Cottage is all of the windows. Even inside, you are surrounded by woods. We hope to return!

We loved this cottage! It was very comfortable and had easy access to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. The owner was great to deal with and easily reachable. Would definitely come back again.

Quiet and Cozy

The cottage was immaculately clean and well taken care of. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen which has everything we needed along with some additional conveniences which aren’t typical of short-term rentals (blender, etc…)The bed was comfortable, but the bedroom doesn’t have a lot of space for two adults. We also think the backdoor window and bathroom window could use coverings or frostings for increased privacy. We enjoyed quiet mornings with coffee on the porch. Everything worked out well with our stay and Jerry was very easy to communicate with!

Best VRBO stay ever.

We have stayed in many VRBO properties. This was our best yet. Jerry was excellent in his communication and he has clearly thought of everything. Plenty of cooking supplies, games outdoors, and great instructions. The property gave us easy access to beaches, canoeing, and hiking. It’s rural so grocery shopping can be a slight challenge. The property was super clean and well maintained. Thanks for a great stay.

Awesome cabin great location

The cabin was so beautiful and in such an awesome location. We loved Peterson Beach which is right down the street. The cabin was very clean and updated. It had everything we were looking for. We really enjoyed our stay and the host was very responsive and even let us come in earlier than expected so it worked out perfectly! Thank you so much!

This up north cottage is perfect for our family of 3! Great location for all things Sleeping Bear Dunes. We love launching off from here each day for our adventures, and then returning to kick back and relax in the recliners and have dinner!

This cottage was super cute and the location was great. It was almost right between the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Frankfort. There is a canoe rental place just down the road. The cottage was super clean and comfortable. Jerry was very friendly, responsive and helpful with suggestions and tips for the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. The location was convenient to Sleeping Bear Dunes and local towns. We hiked, went beachcombing and shopping In Frankfort, Empire and Glen Arbor. The cottage had one of the best supplied kitchens of all the VRBOs we've stayed inand was very clean on our arrival. Very responsive host. Highly recommended.

A lot to do in a half hour or less distance. Beaches, fishing, hiking, climbing,swimming. Even a drive-in movie theatre.

Another great stay!

Another great vacation at the cozy cottage! We love the location, the coziness of the cottage, all the towels, beach chairs, well stocked kitchen, little dishwasher, etc! And we loved and enjoyed the added yard game! Communication with Jerry was great! We will be back!

Long weekend getaway

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect fit for us. We liked the wooded lot and quiet location, yet it allowed easy access to all of the things we wanted to do. We visited Sleeping Bear Dunes at multiple locations to hike, beachcomb, and enjoy the Fall colors. Frankfurt and Empire were not far away. The cottage had all of our needs covered. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The property description is accurate and we highly recommend it.

Acorns Falling All Around

Nice place and location was wooded quiet and relaxing. Platte river was not overcrowded with kayakers. We always like to come up in October.

Cool cabin

The owner of the property has done a complete update to this smallish "cabin" in a forest setting near Platte Lake. It has a very well equipped kitchen including coffee and a few basic condiments. A new washer and dryer also came in bery handy. Outside it feels like a wooded campsite away from the road. There's a propane grill, a fire pit and outdoor furniture. The location is near Crystal Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Frankfort, so there's lots to enjoy in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Exactly what you are looking for.

This place is the perfect up north stay thats located close to a lot of amazing sights and fun cities. We felt secluded but not far from anything at the same time. Everything was clean, seemed very recently undated, and the owner was quick to communicate. 10/10 would definitely stay here again

Sleeping Bear Dunes Cabin

Clean, comfortable and quiet. We loved our stay in the woods in this well furnished and supplied cozy cabin. The location is ideal for exploring all that Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore offers. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location & Accommodations

This cabin was just right for our family of 4. The kids slept on the futon couches in the living room and it suited us very well. The cabin was fresh, clean and very convenient. The location was excellent - very close to many beautiful points of interest. It was also very well stocked - wood for the campfire, toasting forks for roasting marshmallows, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and many other small touches that really impressed us!!! We will definitely book this cabin next time we visit this beautiful area of Michigan!
