Castle Reef #222

The location of this complex is close to shopping, restaurants and church as well as being right on the beach. The condo was clean upon arrival and the complex as a whole is very tidy at all times. The amenities in the condo unit were very adequate and when some issues arose, they were taken care of very speedily.

Fabulous condominium!

Another great year in your beautiful condominium! As always we enjoyed the amazing view and the well-stocked condo, but were very happy with your upgrades to the living room, second bedroom, and bathrooms. Really nice job! This condo is located conveniently on the second floor close to the stairs, elevator, and laundry room. A great bonus is that the owners have their own wifi available to renters. The interior is very updated and we always find the condominium very clean and well-stocked for our vacation. We have just booked for our fourth year in this condominium and highly recommend it for adults and children!

Fantastic Condominium

Just back from a wonderful two weeks in your condominium at Castle Reef. We have been vacationing at Castle Reef for several years and your condo is hands down the best we have stayed in! You have thought of all the comforts of home and decorated for a relaxing, beachy vibe and it made our stay so enjoyable. The view from the balcony and living room was outstanding! Wonderful view of the ocean and we all loved being able to check on the comings and goings around the pool. Perfect location! Everything was clean when we arrived and we found the condo to be just as described. We had wonderful meals at The Garlic, Merks, J.B's, Yellow Dog Eats, and Outriggers, and also enjoyed cooking in your well-equipped kitchen. Had a great time parasailing at Daytona Beach Parasail, kayaking with manatees at J.B.'s, visiting Blue Springs, and just being with family and meeting old friends and new on the beach. Our daughters had lots of other kids to hang out with, which is always fun! Thank you for sharing your home with our family! Michael and Kara B.

Unit have full view of the beach. We had an amazing stay. Condo is beautiful, super clean and have everything you 'll need for your stay and more. So many details, from the high quality towels to the beach chairs and toys. My youngest grandson woke up this morning saying how much he will miss the condo. The communication with the owner was fantastic. We will definitely come back!

Quick family getaway

We wanted a last minute beach weekend. Great to have the beach right there. Kids loved the pool, shuffleboard and bunkbeds.

This condo was by far our favorite rental we have rented over the past three years at Castle Reef. Clean, quiet, good linens and furniture. Modern appliances in the kitchen with a good view of the ocean. Good internet and television systems. We will return to this rental

Wonderful stay

The place was so nice and very clean. Owners were very nice and attentive. Very convenient to shops across the street. Property outside was beautiful and well kept. Nice lady at rental office very knowledgeable on what there is to do around the property. Would like to rent again.

Uncomfortable Mattress Made My Back Sore

Pros: - Decent view of ocean - Condo was clean and comfortable, (except the king size mattress) - Plenty of hot water for the shower - Condo complex was right on the water - We did not use the pool or shuffleboards, they looked nice though - The pool/condo grounds were kept nice. They were cleaning both while we were there. Cons: - No ceiling fans. The ceilings were kind of low, so it may be hard to get ceiling fans in there, but I did see other condos with them. - The king size mattress was uncomfortable. I don't have a bad back, yet this mattress left our backs sore in the morning all of the 3 nights that we stayed there. If you're looking for a comfortable mattress to sleep on while you're on vacation, keep looking. This is reason enough that we will not stay there again.

Amy, I’m sorry you found the master bedroom mattress uncomfortable! Mattresses are such a personal thing....our apologies that it was not conducive for your comfort. Also, we do keep fans for use in the closet. Not many units have ceiling fans, we like fans as well and that is what prompted us to keep,some in the closet. However, the AC works so well, it seems we don’t ever use it! If you needed the ambient noise, I can look into putting in a sound machine.

Overall was beautiful!

We were very pleased with our room when we finally got in it! The only thing was the office left the wrong key out and explained it was for the maintenance man even tho they gave instructions for it. Other then that, the Penn family was wonderful and has a beautiful place. We will definitely be back to visit yearly!!! Thanks again and we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view!

Clean. Nice. All we hoped for.

The kitchen and cooking equipment was nice. The beds were comfortable. The size of the condo was sufficient. The bin of beach toys was a blessing. The environment of the condos and staff were kind. The beach is clean here and full of shells to find, the tide changes are amazing. The view is outstanding.

Great place, especially for the price!

Accommodations were nice, as described. Furnishings were nice and clean, kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. We were unsure of our reservations due to Hurricane Irma, but the office was accommodating. New Smyrna is a favorite place to stay and this condo did not disappoint!
