Lake Macatawa Lakeside Family Cottage W/Hot Tub!

Welcome to our Family Cottage made for you and your family! You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place right in Big Bay on Lake Macatawa in Holland, Michigan. This house was recently bought a couple years ago and completely renovated with fresh paint and all new furniture and design for a true home feel. You will have the entire house on a .75 acre lot just a short walk down from a public beach access off 160th Ave where you can look over the lake. This house is a bike ride away from Holland State Beach and a 5min drive to Downtown Holland! We have spent extra care on each bedroom to make sure it is as comfortable as it looks! The garage is the true hang out space to make life lasting memories playing games or watching a ball game. We just added a brand new Hot tub for your enjoyment and relaxation! We love to host families for short trips and also available for long term stays if you are in need in the area send us a message!

Perfect Getaway

What a wonderfully perfect getaway for our family. The home was so comfortable and the fire pit and hot tub were the perfect amenities for the relaxing weekend we were hoping for, now to come back when it’s warmer and take advantage of that fun garage!

The host was communicative and the house was very clean. Great location, beach was 5 minutes away. Had robust kitchen supplies and plenty of room for a weekend getaway for our family of 3.

Family Reunion!

The house was perfect for our family visit! Would have loved better weather so we could take advantage of the hot tube and game garage. Would recommend!

Cozy, comfortable house near fun activities

Our family of 7 had a great stay here! Lots of room for dining on the back porch, comfy seating for movie watching, very close to beautiful Tunnel Beach. The garage with ping pong and other games was a great touch. Short walk to the lake (boat ramp). The beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked with lots of spices, appliances, etc.

Great place to relax and explore Holland

This home offered a weekend get-away for 5 women to relax and hang out. Everything was clean and comfortable. All the extras to not have to pack were appreciated (toilet paper, soaps, etc). The owners were easy and great to work with.

We loved staying at the Johnson’s property! It was very clean and the perfect spot for our family with two young children. It’s nestled in a cute neighborhood. The hot tub was also a nice touch! The listing owners were very communicative and great hosts.

Highly recommend

We are a family of 5 who stayed at Taylor's property in Mid-July. This property is one of the best stays we've had through VRBO, and we've had many. I'd say the communication was the most impressive, with immediate responses to any questions or hiccups. As well, the cleanliness of the house was top notch. We also appreciated the little extras we didn't expect. A surprise was waiting when we entered the home, but I won't be specific so as to not spoil it! The kitchen items went above and beyond, with spices, and plenty of bowls, plates, cleaning supplies and more. I was surprised at the laundry detergent as well. The garage set up as an entertainment room was awesome! We use that every day. All this said, I would recommend that the description of the property was a bit more accurate. I would not consider the property lakeside, and the water a few houses down is just water access to launch a Kayak or canoe. The closest beach that is on 160th St. is about 1.5 miles. It's tiny and I really wouldn't consider it a beach. However, Holland State Beach is beautiful and only a 5 minute drive. We were always able to find a spot close to the water for "home base". It also has concessions and bathrooms that are very convenient. The fact it was a drive was no big deal and we were fine with it. Overall, I would highly recommend the property for a family or a friends' getaway. Thank you Taylor for a wonderful vacation!

Perfect getaway for the family!

We had a wonderful time staying here. House is close to everything. Kids loved the ping pong table and darts in the garage. We loved the wine that was placed for our arrival and the peacefulness on the deck, watching the birds and bunnies. And I have to say, I more than appreciated how CLEAN the home was! Such a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back! Also, the owner was very responsive and very helpful.

My name is Taylor Johnson and along with my parents Jeff and Julie we have renovated this lakeside cottage in Holland, MI to make it the perfect choice for all your needs! I live in Holland myself and do this full time to make sure everything goes smooth and as planned. My parents have retired here in Holland and will also be able to help if anything is needed. We are now looking for longer term renters especially.

This property provides the most comfortable stay. We get great reviews on our cozy furniture choices and have gone above and beyond to think of almost everything you could want and need on your stay. The location is perfect as you can walk down to Lake Macatawa, bike to Lake Michigan and just a short drive to downtown Holland! We have a wonderful new game room in the garage for family fun and inside the house sleeps 7 very comfortably. We also have a beautiful big back yard with a fireplace, deck, outdoor tables and chairs, and a HOT TUB! That is perfect for cold weather months.

It will be hard to find a warmer feeling cottage. Our renovations are new, but have that warm Dutch feel that you get when you are on vacation! We offer weekly and monthly discounts. We also are open to hosting families or couples for multiple months to give them them an affordable option! Please send us a request and we can discuss what you need on your budget.
