El apartamento está en el nivel inferior de una casa construida en 2014, y tiene aproximadamente 2000 pies cuadrados de planta abierta con su propia entrada. Es una unidad de 2 dormitorios y 2 baños con una cama doble y dos camas individuales en cada habitación. También hay 2 futones en la sala de estar para invitados adicionales, si es necesario. Se permiten hasta dos mascotas. Fumar no está permitido.
La unidad está equipada con conexión wi-fi gratuita y un televisor de gran formato con DirecTV .. La cocina tiene un mostrador de desayuno con una cocina a gas, lavavajillas y microondas. Hay instalaciones de lavandería en el cuarto de servicio.

We had a wonderful stay for a girls’ weekend getaway! Our hosts were very welcoming. The place was immaculate and near a lot of local attractions. Be sure to enjoy the outdoor seating area. The grounds are beautiful!

The amenities are endless…laundry, beautiful spacious kitchen, temperature controls for heat and air conditioning, spacious, well appointed rooms. Nature trails and Lake Michigan beaches are nearby. Parking @ the doorstep.Basically a lovely home away from home.

This is a large apartment in the basement of the owner's home, located in a densely wooded area. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The apartment was very clean and the beds are super comfortable. There is room for 6 people in the beds, but also two futons in the living room for more guests. The full kitchen is well-equipped with items to cook a meal. It is very quiet here, both inside and outside the property. We took a nice nature walk through the woods, as there are several paths to use. It was very easy to access a small beach at Lake MI within 1/4 mile from the home. The home is in a great location with easy access to Fennville and Douglas/Saugatuck. I would certainly make reservations here again should I return to the area.

Frank is super welcoming and accommodating to our needs and check-in. The space is much bigger than I expected. The only thing we notice was the floors were not clean/mopped. Everything else was clean and organized. Also just for folks to know you need to go up and does stairs to access the apartment. We hope to stay here again when we come and visit family. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

This was a great location with plenty of space for us and our 3 children. We loved the use of the kitchen and the easy walk to the beach. Frank and John were very quick to respond if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place in a lovely spot, worked out great. It was actually larger than we'd expected. The interior stayed quite cool even with that A/C turned off, perhaps a bit too cool for some folks.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The suite was SO spacious which was fantastic for our busy toddler and large pup that we brought along. We really appreciated how clean everything was and how accommodating/inviting the hosts were. Just be prepared to bring along anything needed to cook home meals (condiments, etc) and beach supplies.

The home is located in a beautiful wooded area. Very quiet. There is plenty of room inside with the kitchen, living and dining areas open to each other. Two large bedrooms on opposite sides of the home. They each have an attached bath, both of them are large also. Washer and drier available with detergent pods and softener sheets. There is a grill and fireplace on the backyard patio and roasting sticks if you want to have toasted marshmallows or hot dogs. Check-in was easy. We just rang the bell to the main house and were greeted by the owners who took us into the rental unit and showed us around. They are right there if you need anything, but other than check-in we did not see them during our stay. Location is a short drive to Saugatuck and Douglas and if you have younger kids, there is a playground just a minute down the road where you can also find access to the beach. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Excellent place to stay

This is the 4th time we have stayed there and it always works out great. Perfect for 2 couples traveling together (would also be perfect for families). Apt is always clean and the hosts are great to communicate with. Great location - close to beaches, Saugatuck, South Haven and Holland so lots of things to do. This trip we were able to enjoy the beautiful evenings sitting on the back patio which was really nice - even spent some time talking with John and hearing the background of the vrbo. We are already looking forward to booking again next year.

Private stay in the woods!

Beautiful home, very quiet wooded neighborhood. Excellent area to walk your dogs if you have pets. Very spacious living quarters. Saw the owners once when we checked in and that was it. Could hear them once in a while above but that was to be expected. Definitely would come back if I stay in the area again.

Excellent Family Vacation spot

This was our 2nd time back at this beautiful Fennville home (basement) rental! The owners John and Frank greeted us upon our arrival, offered several recommendations on what to do in the area and also extended themselves to us should we have any questions during our stay! They were absolutely kind, cordial and respected our privacy as the entire trip!! The Basement is fully furnished, with two bedrooms, 2 full baths, washer/dryer, large kitchen and dining area! Also, John and Frank allowed us to bring our two dogs. We will definitely be returning a third time(and more)!!Thank you John and Frank,Randy and Family

Convenient location near Saugatuck with many beaches close by that are not crowded. House was very clean, spacious. Owners had everything available that we needed and went out of their way to make sure it was a good stay. Would stay here again.

Great stay!

We wanted to be in the woods but close to amenities, 6 adults (no couples)- this was perfect! Hosts were responsive to inquiries, met us at the unit and showed us the ropes. The place was HUGE and we had plenty of room to spread out. The beach was about 1/4 mi away so we found it easier to drive there than walk along the road, but otherwise, it was as described.

Beautiful outdoor setting

Our stay at this property was overall good. We really enjoyed the wooded area for walking our dogs. There are quite a few deer that are in the area and witnessed 2 new fawns with their mama! The rental was clean and easy to find, and in close proximity to all of our planned activities. The unit itself is downstairs, so the many trips up and down was a bit much. The upstairs noise was also an issue as every step could be heard.

John and I met in 2001, both having survived previous long-term partners. John had served decades as a fire fighter in the Chicago suburbs. I had worked for decades for a Chicago corporation.
We enjoyed the 2-hour proximity of a Michigan campground and parked our motor coach there for many years, while we got to know the area.

We purchased and built our home on a wooded lot in 2014. The lot backs to a wooded conservatory. The apartment was created during the construction with the intention to provide vacation rentals, and is separately zoned for heating and air conditioning.
Local wildlife include deer, black, brown and fox squirrels, wild turkeys, piliated wood peckers, and a wide variety of other birds.
Guests are welcome to use the screened-in porch, patio and outdoor fireplace and grill at the back of the house.
