DANA POINT DELIGHT

Just minutes away from the beach, the Dana Point Harbor, shops and restaurants in the sleepy little beach side community of Dana Point. This beautifully remodeled OCEAN VIEW, 3 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom, attached single family style home is perfectly situated up and away from it all in a quiet little suburban gated neighborhood called ‘Dana Light’.

Sleeps 6 – 8 comfortably in beds and is spacious enough to host two couples, a single or multiple family groups. Our home offers a detached 2 car garage, complete with an EV charger. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the garage. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, and some beach equipment available for your use during your stay.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
The PRIMARY BEDROOM SUITE IS DOWNSTAIRS! It offers a split, adjustable king bed, massage chair, walk-in rain shower, and bidet. It also offers a flat screen TV & separate dressing area with tons of closet space. The master bathroom features dual vanities with a walk-in shower with private courtyard atrium. There is also a half guest bathroom downstairs near the entry.

The other 2 bedrooms and entertainment loft are upstairs and one of the bedrooms has a private balcony! One bedroom features a queen size bed with a flat screen TV’s and ample closet space and the other features a full size bed with full size bed in the loft.

The two bedrooms upstairs share a beautifully remodeled full bathroom featuring a shower with clear glass doors, floating vanity, and ample linen storage.

KITCHEN & DINING: This fully outfitted kitchen shows new, high gloss, white cabinets with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and generous pass through to dining area. The kitchen is bright and airy and also opens onto the front yard courtyard patio - perfect for entertaining all year around!

FAMILY ROOM: This spacious open floor plan features an 85” large flat screen TV, family sofa with fireplace, coffee table, and large flat screen TV. Wi-Fi is included. Adjacent to the family room is a private in-home gym with treadmill, stationary bike and free weights.

OUTDOORS: The back patio is beautiful! Lounge chairs for casual entertaining and table with 6 chairs ready for enjoying all your meals outdoors. The front yard features a Hot and Cold water outdoor shower for cleaning yourselves and beach equipment. The fully gated courtyard style open space with front door and kitchen access – perfect for letting the children play while being safe from any vehicular traffic. The back and side yard connect with the front courtyard for easy access between all outdoor spaces. The Dana Light community offers pool, spa and tennis/pickle ball courts and a dog friendly environment.

MANAGEMENT: We, the owners, live locally within a mile from the home. We treat our guests like friends. We are always accessible to provide the Local's perspective and tips on how to fully enjoy Dana Point, and assist in anyway with the home.

SUITABILITY: Non-Smoking home. Must have an adult(s) staying at the house during the term of the lease.

LOCATION: Dana Point is a city located in southern Orange County, California. It has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast, and with ready access via State Route 1 (the famous Pacific Coast Highway or PCH). Dana Point and surrounding communities of Laguna Beach and San Clemente are popular local destinations for surfing.

ATTRACTIONS: just up the road from the O.C. Dana Point Harbor and downtown Dana Point. Located towards the northern section of Dana Point, it is just a short 15 minute drive into the beautiful and 'artsy' seaside town of Laguna Beach. It’s also convenient and within a short 15 minute drive (or a 30 minute bike ride for the more adventurous types) from the historic San Juan Capistrano where the Mission San Juan Capistrano and the quaint Los Rios District is surrounded with charming antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There’s even a petting zoo for the smaller members in your family!

The city was named after the headland of Dana Point, which was in turn named after Richard Henry Dana, Jr., author of ‘Two Years Before the Mast’, which included a description of the area. Dana described the locale, including neighboring San Juan Capistrano, as "the only romantic spot on the coast". Although Dana described the anchorage as poor, it is now a developed harbor and contains a replica of his ship, the Pilgrim. The Pilgrim is used as a classroom by the Ocean Institute, which is located at the harbor.

Wonderful spot!

We loved out time in the Dana Point Delight - nice walk to the beach, easy to get to local attractions, and clean. Everything we needed for a week in the area. Loved having the garage, outdoor shower, and laundry. Just what we needed after two weeks on the road!

BEST Place Ever

We had the best time! Out of every home we have stayed at in Dana Point over the years, this would be the first vacay spot we really look forward to booking again next year!! Every neighbor, whether they rented or owned, was lovely and all the games/space made available to us ensured we never had to leave! (A plus with small kiddos!!) Thanks, Brian!

Excellent Rental Close to Dana Point Harbor

The listed photos do not do this rental justice. This property is absolutely wonderful and even better than pictured. I honestly thought the listing was too good to be true based on the low per night rental fee. Our family of 4 rented the home during our stay in Dana Point. It’s in a great location. Because it’s close to the beach, we had great breezes and didn’t have to run the A/C while we were there. It was so nice that our two kids had their own rooms upstairs while my husband and I had our own private master bedroom area downstairs. All the rooms, with the exception of the one with an extra loft bed, had TVs. The TV in the living room is the largest we’ve ever seen in a house. Brian and Martha provided so many great amenities which made our stay top notch. The master closet had more than enough space for us to store our clothing. The decor of the home is beachy and we loved how clean the home was throughout. The BBQ was brand new. Having a washer and dryer came in handy for our extended stay. The extras like hangars, echo dots, hamper, board games, boogie boards, bikes, etc. were a pleasant surprise. The work desk with printer came in very handy as well. The views from the upstairs bedrooms were beautiful! We also enjoyed the community pool. The neighbors and area were very quiet making for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this Dana Point rental for anyone interested in a carefree and comfortable home away from home.

All Mod Cons - Wow!

My wife, brother, & I stayed here 5 weeks while our home was being remodeled. Our stay was incredible. The home was beautifully recently remodeled itself, & we love the layout, the decor, the incredible ocean views, & all the amenities. The owners are fantastic, meeting our every need. The downstairs master is well designed & comfortable, including an adjustable bed, a massage chair, a wonderful walk-in closet leading to a beautifully appointed bathroom, with a built-in toilet bidet. There are large screen TVs available everywhere. There is also a nice gym room downstairs. The balcony from one of the upstairs bedrooms is comfortable with simply incredible views of the ocean & Dana Point harbor. The other bedroom has incredible ocean views looking towards San Clemente. The owners thoughtfully have the home prepared for guests, with all kitchen items we could possible need, a gameroom/study upstairs stocked with all kinds of games and movies. My wife and I work from home, & had no issues working here. We were both on Zoom video calls every day, & the internet speeds were excellent. Our own home remodel must now include a jacuzzi, as having access to the public pool & jazucci just steps diagonal from the home is incredibly convenient & relaxing. We went every other night. The neighbors were friendly & helpful. The only challenge is that while the garage is big enough for 2 cars, due to the angle, it can only be used by 1 car, & the 2nd must park in the driveway.
