Altitude Adjustment

Altitude Adjustment is one of the few lake front homes that sits, literally, on the lake. Tucked away on your own private peninsula and nestled on a private half acre, it is the perfect spot for a memorable, relaxing mountain lake getaway in beautiful Lake Lure, North Carolina.

This beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom Lake House is perfect for your family getaway. There are no stairs inside the home which is a rarity on Lake Lure! This modern single level home includes a spacious and open design with everything you need to help you relax. The massive family room has gorgeous views of both the Sleeping Lady and beautiful Lake Lure. It is perfect for your family to enjoy the lake, make memories, or simply relax. With windows to the vaulted 12 ft. ceilings and access through the sunroom to a massive private deck, you are sure to enjoy your visit with all Altitude Adjustment has to offer.

The Kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need to make your stay convenient and easy. The dining room seats your entire family comfortably. The master bedroom offers privacy and a beautiful view along with a private full bathroom.

The upper and lower decks have access to ground, with a covered and expansive gazebo for outdoor dining. There are 2 extra boat slips on our pier if you decide to rent a boat from the marina. There is over 200 feet of lake front property which has a private dock wrapping around the entire peninsula. With just a few steps to reach the water, it is shallow enough to swim, paddle, SUP and enjoy the lake. Swim up ladders make it easy for climbing in and out.

Porches on three levels, a massive deck above the boat house, outdoor fire place, water trampoline, multiple docks, 4 kayaks, 3 SUP's, a 4 seat pedal boat, and much, much more.

Perfect Vacation!

We had a wonderful time at Altitude Adjustment! The house had everything we needed and more. The views are incredible and the lake is right there with all the toys you need for lake fun! The house was clean and exactly as described. Jesse was amazing to work with, so friendly and helpful :) We will definitely be back!

First time at Lake Lure was a pleasure!

Beautiful home right on the lake. Waking up in the more with a view of the lake was awesome! The home was clean and inviting. Jesse was very responsive. We were comfortable and docked our boat right at the prvate pier at the home. Clean water and freash air. We took our boat to local restaurants and public beaches. We will be back!

Great vacation house!

My husband and I and our 4 teenagers stayed a week at Altitude Adjustment. There was plenty of space for all of us inside and out. We did almost all of our cooking at the home and were pleased by all the supplies, we are Blackstone fans so many meals were cooked on that! Having the Ingles close by was extra nice. We spent a lot of time in the water at the house, the entry into the water was so easy and we made good use of the paddle boards and kayaks. The upper deck was particularly nice for watching sunrises, sunsets, and stars. Favorite away from the house activities included a boat tour of the lake, Chimney Rock/Hickory Nut Falls, whitewater rafting on the French Broad, a challenging hike at Buffalo Creek park, and gem mining. We stopped at the flowering bridge on our way out of town and would have enjoyed more time there on a cooler day. We enjoyed making memories together.

Loving Life at Lake Lure!

This was the perfect house for us! Plenty of sleeping space, soooo much outdoor space and easy lake access. We loved using the paddle boards and the blackstone grill.

Great Stay at Altitude Adjustment

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home on Lake Lure. It was a comfortable home with plenty of room for our family of five (all adults). We did a few day trips - hiking, ziplining, Biltmore, and Asheville. It was nice to come back to the lake house to swim, kayak, paddleboard or just enjoy sitting on the decks looking at the marvelous view. We also explored the small towns and restaurants nearby. Having the grocery store so close was a huge plus!

Home away from home.

Home was delightful but as older people going up and down steps to go to bedrooms and bathroom was not very convenient. We probably will not stay there again due to those reasons. It is a home designed for young families, there are many amenities there for them to enjoy.

Lovely first visit to Lake Lure!

Our family of 6 had a fantastic stay at Altitude Adjustment! The location is excellent with spectacular mountain views! The house is comfortable and clean - nicely renovated and decorated with an abundance of natural light. And the lake views from within the house are so beautiful and peaceful. Our 4 children enjoyed the kayaks, water trampoline and fishing off the dock. The water trampoline was definitely a hit! We enjoyed the various decks as well - one has a dining table and a swing facing the lake & mountains, another offers a hammock, sun beds, table & chairs and a ring toss game, and along the dock are Adirondack chairs and chaise lounge chairs. The home is fully stocked with books, puzzles and TONS of games! Jesse was kind, professional and responsive with a great sense of humor! He and his wife provided a very thorough booklet of information about the house as well as recommendations on things to do and where to eat. We enjoyed several of their recommended restaurants and appreciated how close the grocery store was for a few items we needed (bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap). Our family enjoyed visiting the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge and the proximity to Chimney Rock - we went into town for meals and shopping, and hiked to the top of Chimney Rock with our kids! The view was outstanding! We also drove into Asheville one day. We truly enjoyed our time away as a family at Altitude Adjustment in Lake Lure and highly recommend you visit, too!

All that and more

What a great time was had by all at Altitude Adjustment! You won’t be disappointed at this rental. Do it! The home is just steps from the beautiful Lake Lure. Entry into the lake is easy with a few steps into shallow water. Or you could simply jump in off the dock. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and relaxing on the many chase lounges. The kayaks and SUPs were fun and relaxing and the water trampoline was fun for our grands. The mountains that are around the lake are just beautiful. The property is quiet and is very clean. We cooked in the well stocked kitchen. They thought of all that you might need for your meals. The beds were great and lots of fluffy towels. The day bed in the sunroom has a pull out bed underneath. We enjoyed exploring Chimney Rock and my son in law and daughter brought their pontoon and docked it on their dock. The evening rides were so relaxing as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the lovely homes along the lake. Jesse the owner is a sweet heart and made sure everything was good to go for us. We will return here again for sure. We hated to leave. : )

HIGHLY recommended - will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this lake house. The house is beautiful and you can not beat being on the lake. The house was just big enough for 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids). The house had kayaks, paddle boards AND a trampoline on the lake!!! Kids must have spent 4-6 a day playing in the water. The older folks enjoyed just sitting on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The house is conveniently located near a couple of restaurants as well as the grocery store. The owners were incredibly nice and the communication was second to none. Highly recommend. The kids are already asking when are we coming back - only regret is that we did not stay longer :)

This place is super clean and I can’t think of a single thing that it is lacking. The house is very very comfortable, the view is amazing and it is a great location as restaurants and the grocery store are not far. It is a great location to use the SUPs and kayaks, as well. The adults and kids all had a blast. I plan on returning to Lake Lure for vacation at some point, and will certainly stay right here!!! Also, the owners communicated any and all information to ensure we had everything we needed for a fantastic week. THANK YOU to the owners for sharing their spectacular home!!! A+++

Amazing stay in an wonderful house!

We've been staying at Lake Lure 3-4 times a year for a number of years and this was the absolute best visit we've ever had, in terms of location, amenities, and condition of the property. The location of the property is, simply put, perfect. It's not only waterfront but it's in a great spot on the lake itself - plenty of waterfront frontage for the kids to play on the lake along with exceptional long-range views. It's closer to town so if you need something from the grocery store or want to go out to eat it's a quick trip. In terms of amenities, the house has everything you'll need for a great vacation as well. There's kayaks, paddleboards, a large dock, and a water trampoline for fun in the lake. Additionally, there's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the amazing views. Inside the house everything was wonderful as well. Each bedroom has closet space (not always a given in these lake houses). There's plenty of cookware, a well-equipped kitchen, and nice appliances so it's easy to prepare meals in the house. Finally, the house is clearly well-loved and well-cared for. Sometimes these houses can be a bit neglected. Definitely NOT the case here, as everything was well-maintained and in top-notch condition. I cannot recommend this house enough, and we'll definitely be back in the future!

Wonderful family FUN

We had a great family get together at this fantastic property. Everything was perfect from the kayaks and paddle boards to the amazing lake views. Large decks for relaxing and multiple seating and tables for dining outside. The hosts were very responsive to our requests. We have stayed at many summer rentals in the past and this one was our favorite by far.

Beautiful getaway!

Our family of 5 loved our stay at Altitude Adjustment. The location is amazing, and the size was just right for us. We enjoyed being right on the water, with an amazing view of the mountains. We had fun kayaking around the lake, and appreciated the host’s recommendations of local restaurants and things to do. The kitchen was well appointed, and a beautiful Ingles grocery store is only 7 minutes away. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect getaway!

This house was the perfect place for our family vacation! The location on the lake, the plentiful amenities, and the *views* all made for a memorable vacation! We loved kayaking and paddle boarding, eating all of our meals outside, (even in the rain thanks to the covered area), and of course swimming! I even enjoyed washing the dishes because I could still see the lake through the multiple sliding glass doors! We rented a pontoon from Lake Lure Boat Rentals and had a great time exploring the entire lake. I can’t say enough good things about this house and the hosts. Jesse and Emily reached out before our stay, and then made sure we got in okay the day we arrived. They were responsive to questions and made sure we had everything we need for a great vacation. We will definitely be coming back to Altitude Adjustment!

Great Family Trip!

The house was great for my teen boys and friends. They enjoyed all the kayaks and paddle boards provided and the large deck for hanging out. My husband loved the black stone grill and I enjoyed letting him cook the majority of our meals! This is a beautiful home in a great location with responsive hosts. Highly recommend!

In need of some Altitude Adjustment

We’ve stayed in Lake Lure a handful of times. Every place we stayed in was owned by some company and always felt sterile like any standard hotel room we are all accustomed to. NOT HERE! Walking in the front door we immediately felt like we were home. The house, the view, the accommodations were all top notch. Walking on the deck immediately took your breath away. 7 minutes after we arrived, my girls were swimming in the lake. They forgot all about their phones pretty much the entire time we were there. The house is near everything. We were greeted by some of the neighbors who were extremely kind and welcoming. My girls were on the trampoline, paddle boards, even helped me grill. My favorite part was opening up a bottle of wine and watching the sunset from the top deck. The host was extremely helpful and attentive. We will definitely be returning next summer. This house is the house for family. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Lake Week!

We had a wonderful week at Altitude Adjustment! Our family enjoyed the many spaces in the house, as well as the outdoor spaces. We cooked many meals in the gourmet kitchen, which is very well stocked with cookware/utensils. We floated in the lake, sipped coffee off the deck, and used the puzzle/game table every day of our stay. You can not go wrong with this vacation choice!

Quite a luxurious property with many amenities and comforts. Very spacious. It is right on the water, which can't be said about most Lake Lure rentals that are a above the lake with one or more long flights of stairs. Because it is on Sunset Cove, it doesn't have the views of the mountains. But swimming in the cover is wonderful, because it is within an area where the pontoon boats must begin to idle. At eighty, I was happy with launching area for my sit-in kayak. When I was concerned about this before our visit, the owner even provided a video of all the spots from which I could launch.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts!

We loved our time at this beautiful home in Lake Lure! So relaxing to be lake front for several days. The house is beautiful and updated. I felt right at home in the kitchen very similar to my own and kids and adults all enjoyed the outdoor “toys” to spend all the time in the lake or on the deck. Jesse was on top of things and so helpful from booking all the way through check out. Don’t miss your chance to stay here when it’s available!

Spacious and Relaxing

We had a mixture of (adult) kids and parents, some working and some in virtual school. We had plenty of private and group space to get work/school done and zero internet issues. The house is beautiful, has all the kitchen equipment you need, and being able to jump in the lake at any moment was fantastic. The lake toys were well used and loved. There’s lots to do in the area but we also loved just staying at the house and enjoying the amenities. The owners are super nice and easy to deal with. We would definitely recommend this house to others and would stay at it again!

Great place to relax!

This is our second time staying at Lake Lure, and we had a wonderful experience staying here. The house is spacious, clean, and renovated. Looks like the hosts have thought of everything. The kitchen and everything else was very well stocked. So much patio/outdoor space. The lake views were gorgeous, so many windows with lake views from every room. Numerous activities to do in the house and on the lake, didn’t want to leave. Kids and adults enjoyed the trampoline, kayaks, paddle boards, and the hot tub. Easy access to the house, and close to many local attractions. Definitely one of the top houses to rent at Lake Lure!
