Enjoy beautiful sunsets at our cottage on Deer Lake!

Our Deer Jess Cottage is on Deer Lake and we are just minutes from downtown Buffalo where you will find restaurants, antiques, shopping, brewery, wine bar, ice cream shop, and Wright County parks for great winter and summer sports, hiking and more. We are also not far from Hanover, Delano, Maple Lake, Monticello, Annandale and downtown Minneapolis which offer even more options. Deer Lake is great for fishing both summer and winter! On nice weather days, a paved path only a half mile away takes you right into downtown Buffalo.

Our cottage is a great home away from home with many amenities. The main floor includes a full kitchen (no dishwasher), primary bedroom with queen bed and Roku TV, half bath (toilet & sink only), coffee station, breakfast/snack bar with seating for 3 and a large dining table with seating for 6. The living room is all set to take in the awesome views of the lake. The fireplace is not operable for use.
The walkout lower level includes a family room to enjoy the 55” smart Roku TV, 2 queen beds and a 3/4 bath with shower. Note that the lower level has an open concept and the beds/sleeping area is not private and is open to the sitting area.

Note----the cottage is not handicap accessible as there are a couple steps onto the deck to enter the home and a staircase to the lower level to the family room, 3/4 bath and walkout to the lower patio. There is also a staircase down to the lake.

This cottage is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. No parties or events are allowed. We have great neighbors and want everyone to be courteous to them so prefer quiet time from 9PM to 8AM.

No pets allowed and no smoking or vaping inside the cottage or outside on the premises. NOTE: There is an outdoor security camera used to protect the property.

For warm weather enjoyment we have two kayaks and a paddleboat available for you to explore Deer Lake and neighboring Buffalo Lake.
There is a public boat landing only a short distance from the cottage. The dock is installed in the spring and removed in the fall based on lake levels, weather and manpower permitting.

For winter family fun there is ice skating rink on Buffalo lake, sledding hill at Buffalo Heights golf course and downhill skiing at Powder Ridge in Kimball. There are multiple county parks close by including Bertram Regional Park, Stanley Eddy Regional Park and Baker Park Reserve offer groomed cross country trails less than 30 min away!
