Absolutely gorgeous house! Located on a private canal. I was catching yellow tail mangrove jack crevalle, and a few I have no idea. Plenty of lobster for the picking. And only 2 miles off the shore on the east side you’re in 200’ of water. Mutton snapper bite was great! It was very peaceful. 10 out of 10
Awesome bbq seafood sushi! Must go!

We thoroughly enjoyed this home! It is exactly as pictured and very clean. Everything from the indoor furnishings to the pool chairs was really nice quality and well cared for. The indoor furnishings were very comfortable, including the mattresses and couches. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of high quality items. We cooked a lot and had every tool we needed! The pool is the perfect size for kids to play and cool off. We brought our boat and really enjoyed the dock. It’s a short ride out to the main channel. Also having a ramp and marina on Key Colony was helpful! The owner/property manager was beyond helpful with any needs and reminders throughout our stay (trash day, etc). We rented a golf cart to get around key colony. Sunset park is a beautiful spot to hang out and watch the water. There are 2 nice (shaded) playgrounds on Key Colony. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect keys family vacation home

The house was very conveniently located. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. Communication with Holli and Aaron was great. We will definitely be staying here next year for our annual Keys trip. If I had to nit pick, it would have been nice to have the outside ice machine working so we didn’t have to run into town each day and the key pad on the door was very finicky for us. Otherwise absolutely perfect

Amazing

We stayed here for spring break. Everything was perfect! The house was beautiful, pool was awesome, location was amazing. We rented and docked the boat in the backyard. But after being on the boat with fishing and hitting the sandbars coming home to a pool was awesome. House was immaculate. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be back!

This was a perfect little getaway for my husband and I! The space is beautiful and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spent a lot of time in the super cute outdoor space. Would definitely stay again!

What a beautiful place.

The owners did not skimp on their renovations. The kitchen is gorgeous and so much room and stocked - pots, pans, cutting boards, utensils, glasses, plates, they had anything you might need. There is a TV in every room! The beds are comfy the water pressure in the showers was great. We brought our own pillows and quilts but if you don't they are there as well. The pool - well just look at the pics and it is even better in person. Communication with the property contacts was great - I tried not to ask to many questions but the questions I did ask I received an immediate answer.This was a great house in a great location - we didn't want to leave!!

Awesome Vacation Home

Great house and a truly great value. Beautiful decor, great modern kitchen with everything you would need, huge weber grill on nicely covered balcony, great patio which has covered and uncovered areas for eating and sunbathing, nice relaxing pool with sun benches and rotating colors at night, and also canal seating with nice views! The communication between our host Aaron was great, and he and Holli made everything prior to our trip, as well as during, so easy. Great location, lots of walking and bike lanes made it safe to enjoy the different areas on this nice peaceful island. There is Sunset Park within walking distance with great views, benches and music on Sundays. Restaurants, some with live music ,also within walking distance. We have visited the Keys and Marathon many times but this visit and this home was special. We will be back next year.

Very nice property

Had a great time on our stay in Key Colony. The house has been newly updated and the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. Furnishings and decorations thru out the house give it a nice beachy feel. Nice having an ice ma machine and freezer in house too. Great place. Hope to return

Excellent Stay

Our stay at this property was great from beginning to end. The outside space was amazing - enjoyed the pool and enjoying morning coffee on the canal. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Communication was excellent. Overall, a great place for our family of five.

Key Colony Family Fishing Haven

Aaron and Holli made our stay in the keys absolutely wonderful! As much as we love Key Colony this has been one of the most well equipped, clean and neatly furnished homes we have stayed at. We are a farming family of 6 (4 kids ages 13,12,10,9) from Southern California that adore the keys! Our week was spent 90% on the water, fishing, snorkeling etc and the evenings were spent lounging in the pool enjoying this beautifully landscaped backyard. Thank you for another fabulous family vacation! Pros: -Clean, clean clean!! -Location! Beautifully situated in Key Colony along the 3rd/4th st canal (Manatees frequented) -Beds (seems minor, but they were so comfy!) -Central Air, coming off a 7hr hot day on the boat this was a huge +! -Everything you need to go along with your fishing trip, dockage, ice machine, bait freezer and filleting station. - Ocean View from 2 of the rooms! -Service, every question we had was answered quickly, they really do a great job communicating throughout your stay to ensure a positive experience. -So much to list!! Cons: (not even “cons”, just scrabbling to put something on here) - We wish there would have been Cabana Club access, just so you could access the beach -Limited to 27ft of dockage -Stairs, the whole home is upstairs. If traveling with our grandparents this would have been an issue. -Our 11 days weren’t long enough here! Sad faces as we travel back west today.

Excellent Oasis

The house is clean and appointed nicely. The huge island is a great place to prepare meals and gather. The real gem is the backyard. The pool, the landscaping, plenty of places to sit and relax. If you boat and fish, it's completely set up for that too. Hoping to come back next winter.

Great 2 weeks

Very clean and beautiful place. Owner and manager were always very prompt with the few times we contacted them. Kitchen was amazing and well stocked. We used the pool a lot! Perfect for relaxing and cooling off. Very quiet. 2 weeks wasn't long enough! Thank you Aaron!

Wonderful

This property made our family's trip to the Keys. The weather wasn't exactly what we hoped for, but the kids were happy with the lovely pool, manatees in the canal, and the parents were happy with the cleanliness of the house and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were always responsive. This property looked to be one the nicest units, inside and outside, in the area. We would definitely book again.

Great property and home

We stayed two weeks. Everything was seamless. Checkin/out was great. Colony Key in Marathon is great location with great people. The pool was cold but, to be fair I never did ask if it was heated. (We didn’t swim much). The only thing I would addressed is the need for shades or curtains on the windows/doors facing the canal. Your neighbors across the canal can see directly inside the duplex. Bottom line this is a great place to stay in a wonderful neighborhood. I’d recommend it 100%.

Great place, great host and close to everything!

LOVED this place! So well done inside and out. No expense spared in the renovating which makes it a unique property with the luxurious feel. Anything we wanted to do was within close proximity, too! We'll be back!

Slice of Heaven

We love this place. Perfect setup for the Keys. Easy access to gulf or ocean. Plenty of parking for trailer. Nice pool to cool off. Commercial ice maker, bait freezer and secure rod storage on 1st level. Fish cleaning table on dock. Grill on the deck. It’s decorated like a home and not a “rental”. Been going to the Keys over 30 years and this place is at the top. We will be back.

Simply Amazing

What an amazing property and location! I'm so glad we found this place. The owners have gone to great lengths to make sure that no luxury is overlooked. The house itself is completely redone, the kitchen is amazing, multiple bedrooms, plenty of space for everyone to get together but also have their own private spaces too. The decor is beautiful, furnishing are amazing and did I say the kitchen was amazing?! The house is not far from a great aquarium and is a reasonable drive to Key West or Islamorada where we went to Robbie's to feed the Tarpon (a must do). Not far from Bahia Honda and the access to the local beach was great too. A perfect location really. We coordinated to bring our boat and it was no problem. There's a dock out back, a cleaning station for fishing and we kept the trailer in the front/carport. The backyard was such a nice place to spend the evenings, with a completely landscaped vibe, lots of seating and a nice pool to swim in after boating/beaching/sweating. The kids had a great time, our son fished out back and swam, our daughters swam in the pool and played games and we had some great family time. We've stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this was by far one of the best. I wish I could live there. We will be back for sure! What an awesome place. Thanks so much!!

Perfect Keys Vacation!

We had such a great time during our stay. Perfect location for all your daily activities, including restaurants, shops, boating, fishing, etc… The condo is completely updated, and has everything you would need during your stay, including a plunge pool to cool off and end your day watching the sunset. Too many memories to list, but a few favorites; watching the manatees in the canal from the backyard, happy hour at sharkey’s, dolphin aquarium, short boat rides to the gulf and Atlantic for fishing and snorkeling. We will definitely be back soon!!

Family and Friends winter getaway!

It’s was everything that us Northerns needed in the middle of winter. The property is clean and well stocked for cooking and BBQ, close to restaurants for those nights out and nice private little sitting/floating pool to listen to some music and have some drinks in the sun. Loved the neighborhood to walk around in the morning and Key Colony Beach with beautiful sunsets every evening, also walking distance. We will definitely be looking forward to stay at the home in the future.

We have been vacationing to the keys for over 20 years and finally were able to become part-time residents in 2016. Key Colony is a special community and very unique to the keys. No other key provides the family environment that KCB provides. We hope that you love it as much as we do.

We have renovated and updated this home to our personal liking and the home is primarily a family vacation home. The furnishing and finishes are not "rental grade", the property is our home. We love to spend as much time here as possible and when its not being used, we love to make it available to friends, family, and guests.
