Wonderful Vacation

Exceptional cleanliness. Well stocked with supplies and household needs. Location was convenient; walking distance to the ferry, shops, restaurants, and rental needs. The island is beautiful and has a peaceful energy. Extremely pleased with our vacation and would return to this rental property.

My Favorite Place

This is the perfect getaway for 2 people. You’re within 2 blocks of Marine Ave. wonderful little shops & good eating places. Many good walking place around the island. The only thing I would recommend is a magnifying mirror

Nice place for 1-2 people

The apartment was clean, quiet, and well appointed. I do think it is more suited to a single guest or a couple that is very compatible given the small size and single TV. However, I enjoyed the stay and the location. A/C was a plus.

Cannot say enough good things!

This property looks exactly like the pictures. Usually they are edited to look brighter and bigger, but this apartment is very bright, spacious, clean, quiet, and everything you’re looking for! We were so sad to say goodbye to the place and can’t wait to come back!

Quiet Retreat for Two

Property was easy to access, very clean and well stocked. Quiet and comfortable. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking is first come first served so that was a bit of a challenge. One night of our stay we had to park 3 streets away. Overall it was lovely.

Comfy and CLEAN

For one or two people this apartment better than expected. First thing I noticed upon entering was how immaculate it was. Clean, white, bright! The location is perfection, the furniture comfy, the towels and linens soft. There is no view of water, peekaboo or otherwise, but it’s easily walkable to the bay or the ferry. I’d definitely stay there again and probably will!

So Cozy!

Beautiful space perfect for 2. So close to everything. Would definitely recommend. Listing needs to be updated as in the parking notes it suggests that there is parking available, when it's street parking only. Parking was never a challenge however, as there was always something available in front of the home.

Pros and Cons

Pro's: Cute neighborhood and apartment. Close to coffee houses and restaurants. Nice harbor location. We rented a Duffy electric boat to tour the harbor. Party town with staggering wealth. Biggest Ferrari dealership ever seen (and I've been to Maranello). Cons: An airliner passes overhead every 3-minutes. Smells like a sewer when the tide goes out. Jam-packed with other residences. Parking is challenging.

Great apartment terrible bed

This apartment should get a five star rating until you get in the bed which is so uncomfortable it’s impossible to sleep it’s hard and creeks It needs to be replaced before I would rent again. Sleep is important so otherwise I would give it five stars!

Great Space - minor key mishap

This was a great space on Balboa Island. While you can't see or hear the ocean from this location it is right in the middle of everything. We didn't have any issues finding a spot on the street near the property. The only complication we had was the lockbox didn't work and the key ended up being under the door mat. After some calls and searching we figured this out. Property was very clean, had all the amenities we needed and was very comfy.

A Gem on Balboa Island

I almost don’t want to review for this incredible hide-a-away as it will be hard for me to get reservations in the future. This darling place is up a flight of stairs. You open the front door & your senses are immediately hit with light coming from every window. Its sparkling clean & everything’s sparkling white. At night you hear the seals as they hang out on the docks. You’re one block from the bay. It’s perfect for one or two people. I wouldn’t recommend children. All in all it’s a little sanctuary to “get away from it all.” Great restaurants within walking distance. The only draw back is parking. I took Uber when I left the island.

Adorable and quaint

This property was so cute, clean and well stocked. A very quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to many shops and restaurants. owners were on site and very nice. I would stay here again 100%.

The place was nice for two. Its location two blocks from Marine was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. My wife found the bed too firm, but it was fine for me.

This is the cleanest home away from home I’ve ever stayed in!

This cute little home is perfect for a couple who wants to enjoy Balboa Island. It’s clean and fully stocked with anything you would need. Location is excellent. Just steps from Main Street and the bay. Loved it! The property management company wasn’t my favorite but the owner is delightful. A beautiful and sweet lady who really cares about her guests enjoying their stay.

Great visit on Balboa

Just want to say thanks to the property owner for being responsive when needed but also providing the privacy we expected. Beautiful clean room with all the amenities we couldn’t have anticipated. Loved the warm touch of flowers and hand written note-hope to revisit soon!

Darling!

We come to Balboa Island several times a year for vacation and this was the best place we’ve stayed so far - perfect for two people. The space was light, bright, and impeccably clean. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Lyleen, several times. She is lovely and immediately made us feel welcome. The location was excellent as it was just a short walk to both Marine Street and well as the waterfront. We had a fabulous time and are so happy to have found this gem. We are already planning our next visit.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Visited just before July 4th weekend. Very pleased with the quality and new furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location is perfect and parking spot off of the alley was great. The owner has done a beautiful job with this property and we highly recommend it for a couple. We liked the way furnishings are protected against CV19. Spotless and romantic! Great neighborhood and people nearby.

A greta place to stay on Balboa

Everything was set up to make arrival a breeze. The home is professionally managed and the management company was very responsive, even offering to send someone by when we couldn't figure out the AC (my fault, didn't look closely at the controls) The apartment has everything you need and is within walking distance to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. Spotlessly clean with a modern look, my only complaint is that the bed moves easily - but i'm a light sleeper so any movement is an issue (but it was very comfortable and the linens/pillows were great) not every bed, suits every visitor - and I'd stay here again in a minute, so it couldn't have been that bad! Lovely home - thank you for sharing it with us.
