Overall, the experience was great. My family really enjoyed the beach house, and it offered excellent amenities. My only concerns were that the air conditioning downstairs was a bit warm, and the outdoor trash had not been emptied when we arrived. However, management was contacted about the trash, and the issue was resolved promptly.Despite those minor concerns, our overall experience was wonderful.

Great location. The layout of the house worked well for us and our adult children, three couples. It’s nice to find a place with 3 king beds and everyone had their own bathroom as well. The deck worked well for our pets as it is contained and they could stay out there. However, the deck has weathered a bit, and it would be nice for it to be fixed up. One of the deck boards was loose and I called about it the first day and maintenance came and fixed it right away. The response of the property management company was excellent throughout our stay. Everyone at Buzz rental was great throughout the process.

Lots of issues

We had numerous issues with the home during our short stay. First, we called to see if it was ready on our way and they informed us it wouldn’t be ready until 5:00 for our 4:00 check in. Upon arriving, the house was not that clean with some trash on the deck and dirty floors. Several lights/fans didn’t work, the TVs didn’t work and the A/C didn’t work upstairs so we only had half of the house usable. The property manager wanted me to troubleshoot the issue, which I was not willing to do. The railing on the main deck was damaged and only had a small rope across the gap that our toddler could easily fit through and fall from the second story. Overall, the location is great, but we were disappointed with all of the issues.

A great place to stay

this place was great. We loved how close it was to the beach! We came with 3 kids and 5 adults and there was plenty of room. All the amenities were as described. We would definitely stay there again.

Pirates Beach Paradise

Great location with fantastic beach view. Minutes from the central sea wall district and steps from an isolated no crowd beach. A beautiful home but needs some repairs outside and inside from hurricane Beryl.

Pretty but no supplies

Pretty place. But they said "well stocked", and it is not. Dishes and pots yeah. But.....ice maker broken, and the other ice maker they told me about after I called, was empty, no ice. No broom. No potholders (we used washclothes). No beach chairs!! bring your own. No scissors, no salt and pepper, no dish towels. No sponge or dish scrubber in kitchen, paper towels ran out fast. I drove to the store 6 times, during our stay. Ugh. Not relaxing for me. No Kleenex boxes.... I had to go to bathroom for toilet paper to blow my nose. And no towel hangers in the bathrooms. Every time I turned around to find something in this "well stocked" place, it was missing. Difficult parking too. Just one driveway, and don't park on side of road. Exchange cars in and out to let someone leave.

Great Weekend Getaway

Great location, literally steps from the beach, host was very attentive. The only downfall was we had no access to any sports on the tv’s due to no cable. But we made the best of the windy, cold weather!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Vitamin Sea! It was hands down the cleanest beach house we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The furniture was upscale and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was also very nicely equipped, making it easy for us to prepare our meals. The host was extremely approachable and communicative, which made our stay even more enjoyable. They were always available to answer any questions we had and provide any assistance we needed. And let's talk about the location - it was simply amazing! Even though the house was in the second row, we still had a breathtaking view of the sea. The front row properties didn't block our view at all. It was truly a picture-perfect setting. We are already planning our next trip back to this wonderful beach house, and we will definitely be recommending it to anyone who is considering a beach getaway.

Great house

My family and my son's groomsmen stayed at this house for my son's wedding weekend, and it was great. Lot's of room, plenty of things to do, and Buzz was a great host. I definitely recommend this house.

Wonderful way to spend Christmas with family

I have a large family that not only gathered for Christmas, but also for my wedding. The house was exactly as described, beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Excellent location to get to the beach. My grandchildren loved the kid's room. Communication was excellent and I had no worries the entire stay as any questions I had were answered extremely quick. A truly enjoyable holiday. Family loved being able to be in one house all together. Will definitely rent here again. A huge thanks from all of us.

Nice location

Overall the stay was very nice. However, the Roku devices/remotes for the TVs in the bedrooms didn't work. I had to use my Roku app on my phone to work one of the TVs. The other we never got to work. That needs to be addressed by the property.

Beautiful location but we can't rent again - dangerous for seniors

Cold weather but we enjoyed the location of the house & Galveston. Beach was private & very nice. Barney, our fur baby, loved running on it until we read a posted sign on the Beach sharing there is a fine for unleased dogs – it would have been nice to know this before we broke the law. Dangerous issue on stairs. One of the stairs going into the house is broken. And the step going onto deck is so narrow it cannot be seen. We tripped over it. Thankful none were injured. Also coffee pot did not work – we had to buy one. Series coffee drinkers so we did not try the Keurig. Not sure if it works? Hair dryer in the 1st floor room is broken. Managers, in the future, may want to consider providing a Guest book. Book can provide info about how to operate & find channels on the TV (we never figured that out); leash law & other local only laws; venues for eating out & entertainment; & most important how to shut down & leave the house at trip end. It was annoying this house had a dumbwaiter. It could have been useful for us as Seniors but without operational instructions we were fearful to use it. We did call Managers for instructions & were told that the house did not list a dumbwaiter in its offerings. We checked. This is correct but it was noted in other reviews & a reason we choose to rent this house. In the future if items are not for guest use a note in the rental description, a sign or a notation in the book would help. The Manager helped but we won't rent again.

Awesome location and home!

We were pleasantly surprised to see that the home was exactly as featured on the website - the rooms were as spacious as they appeared in the photos and very comfortably furnished. It was the perfect place for our extended family to spend the weekend, and the few steps walk to the beach was so nice! Lots of windows in each room overlooking the water and letting lots of light in - you really feel like you are "at the beach" and we loved it!

Pirate Beach

The house is in a great neighborhood very close to the beach. Access to the beach is extremely easy and close. the views from the house are amazing. The house was in very good condition as expected. Im sure we will come back soon!

Memorable Family Getaway!

Our recent family getaway Vitamin Sea at Pirates Beach proved to be the perfect place for relaxation and quality time with family. The location was simply the best with views of the ocean and easy access/steps away from the beach. The house was clean, kitchen fully equipped, large bedrooms, and a "kid" room was the cherry on top! The large upper balcony is perfect for family dinners or just relaxing to the sounds of the ocean. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this little slice of paradise! ...also, when we had any questions prior to or once we arrived to the property the office staff was quick to respond and very helpful.

Nice Pictures - Poor Reality

We were very disappointed in this property - mattresses and bedding are very old, worn, and uncomfortable; cushions for outdoor seating are filthy...not to be used; pots and pans are very worn...the teflon lining is chipping off; many of the lamps do not work and/or lightbulbs are burned out; and the fireplace doesn't work, just to name a few. This house needs a major update!

Vitamin Sea was Great!

We all really liked the house! As an extended family of 7 people, we stay in a beach house in Galveston at least once a year. We all agree that this house is our favorite. The location was great, outdoor space was great. The house itself was comfortable and gave use space for privacy and separation when needed. It has a large dining table where could all eat together. The kitchen was well stocked for the most part. I was surprised that there was nothing to clean dishes in the dishwasher. There was a small bottle of dish soap to hand wash dishes, but that was it. The house was very cold during the day, but warmed up at night. We would definitely stay here again!

Best beach house ever

I have rented three beach houses in the area. This one is by far the best. Very nice looking, obviously, and very spacious. It is very well-equipped with everything you need and more. Very close to the beach and quiet. Good communication with the office. We will come back.
