Out of the Blue offers a luxurious getaway surrounded by the natural beauty of Carova where you can share the beach with the majestic wild horses. We provide hospitality with great attention paid to our guests. Prepare yourself for a unique and relaxing vacation where you can enjoy this breathtaking setting along with the conveniences of home. Our SEMI-OCEANFRONT, pet-friendly house is conveniently located on a corner lot on the beach access ramp. Take advantage of the ocean views at semi-oceanfront prices! Approximately 7 miles up the beach from the paved road.

*A 4Wd drive vehicle is required to access all of the homes on Carova Beach.

Great stay

We had a great time! The communication with the host was very good and were quick to respond anytime we had a question. The home accommodated our family's needs quite nicely. The A/C worked very well in the very warm temps. I would emphasize the required 4X4 vehicle needed to get this property. I do think some general updating could be done to the entire home but nothing that would hold me back from renting again.

Out of the Blue is Out of this World!!!!

For the 2nd straight year we stayed at out of the blue. It was my wife, 2 daughters, their husbands, 3 grandchildren, their 2 Nannie’s and my 17 yr old son.Great home, just didn’t want to come home after our week stay. Wonderful hosts.

Beautiful location and nice house

We really enjoyed our stay here! There were some minor things that the owner could improve upon, such as locks on a couple of the doors, the back door still needs to be fixed

Family OBX Vacation

We had an amazing experience visiting the Outer Banks for vacation. My kids and I had a memorable vacation we will never forget. The owner made us feel very welcome in his home and everything was perfect! We cannot wait to visit again 😊

Beautiful Beach Vacation

We enjoyed our stay and Steve (owner) was very responsive. The home is located right in Corolla and there is nothing more incredible than waking up and seeing wild horses in your yard. We enjoyed our time at the beach.

Very impressed with the property and location. Only real downfall I can say is due to the distance from stores it would be nice to have two full size refrigerators.

Great location and views

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location and plenty of room in the house for our family. Beautiful view of the ocean from the decks. Loved seeing the horses every day. The sitting area above the kitchen provided fantastic views. Great communication while booking and throughout the process and stay.

We Would consider this house again.

Fantastic horse viewings. Great location. Needs some maintenance repairs but that’s expected for a beach property. Beach was awesome for swimming.

Great location

Steve was very kind and easy to communicate with. House was nice enough, a little dated, but we had everything we would need. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking to have a laid back time at the beach.

Peaceful family vacation for all

We had a wonderful family vacation .Location to the beach is perfect and the size accommodated us all.Some minor issues in the beginning but the owner was so nice and replied immediately to the issues at hand.Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to experience OBX without the busyness of shops and close neighbors

Wonderful Vacation

Great location and beautiful views. Our group of 10 had a wonderful time at the beach. The 4x4 beach was Awesome, our first time for that, very exciting. Plenty of space for us all. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Fishing in the morning and at night was fun too. We will definitely return again.
