Beautiful Custom Home Overlooking Pond

This is a gorgeous 3900 square foot home in a peaceful neighborhood overlooking a pond in a Georgetown community on the Sampit River. The home is setup very well for relaxing and entertaining with a gourmet kitchen, wet bar and generously sized spaces. Linens are included.
Minutes to historic Georgetown, by car, 25 minutes to Pawley's Island Beach. Myrtle Beach is an hour North and Charleston is only an hour South. Our 45 foot, deep water marina slip may be available upon request. You can also boat to the Harborwalk on Front Street with all of its great restaurants and shops, and cruise or fish the Winyah Bay and Ocean! The Sampit River is beautiful and known by fishermen for it's Redfish, Stripers, Largemouth Bass and Crabbing.

Check-in was a breeze. Beautiful spacious home. Accommodated our group of 10 nicely. Wi-Fi access was easy. This home is somewhat secluded (what we preferred) but not too far from town. Host was easy to get a hold of with any questions and was very helpful.

Wedding weekend

The house was perfect for what we needded. We had three cousins who live in different states who LOVED the bunk room, and each of the adult couples were able to enjoy their own space. The kitchen was well equipped, and the view was lovely. I would 100% recommend this spot for anyone needing a space while visiting the area.

Great place to stay in Georgetown.

My son was shooting the Junior US Open in Georgetown and we needed a place to stay for the tournament. This place was perfect. House was very clean and as advertised.

Perfect getaway for family or friends.

The house was perfect for Dad's 80th Birthday party! Kitchen was well equipped and the equipment was great. Master bed and bath is lavish and wonderful. Back porch is a great place to relax outside! Please note that the Coffee pot is a Keurig not a pot (bring Pods not grounds).

Country-Style Home Getaway

Upon arrival the drive to the actual property was long, so I became nervous. However, we finally reached the community after a 9-minute drive through the woods, and I was pleasantly surprised. This Community is adorable and a true hidden Gem in Georgetown, SC. I may consider purchasing a Vacation Home is this neighborhood. The rental home was huge, clean, and I absolutely loved the window coverings. The lake in the rear was a lovely sight to see daily. The home was well stocked, and the washer & dryer looked brand new. The kitchen was gorgeous and clean. The bathrooms were gorgeous and clean too!!!! The beds were comfortable. My children really enjoyed the Bunk Bedroom which was built into the wall. I had a small dinner party and invited my family who lives in SC, and they were impressed by the home too. I will for sure rent this home in the future. It was clean, beautiful, and I felt comfortable living there. The photos attached with this listing doesn't give the actual home credit for be FABULOUS!!!!!!! The home is great.

The home was beautiful and very well prepared for our stay. The homeowner owner went out of his way to help and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. I would recommend this home to anyone that wants to experience Georgetown.

Wonderful Home

This home and our stay was truly magnificent! The house is immaculate. It is well stocked with everything you need. It is spacious allowing everyone to have privacy as well as get together. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood which is perfect after a long day at the beach or playing golf. It is located just a short distance from everything. Bratton is very quick to respond. We had a perfect vacation and already want to come back next year!

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was clean and well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed watching our boys catch fish in the pond directly out back. The porches had great sitting spots!

Family wedding in March

We came from the north for a wedding. We pick this house for the bedrooms and location to the wedding. There were 8 adults. Everyone was impressed with the house. It was very clean and beautiful. Bed were comfortable. Kitchen was stock with anything you would need to make a meal. But the only thing we needed was the microwave and frig for our leftovers from restaurants. Highly recommend "The Root" in Georgetown. The location was private and quiet. Not able to use the porches due to the overwhelming pollen. Located close to the beautiful fishing village of Georgetown "must see" and North Huntington beach "great beach". Bratton answered all our questions with quick responses. Only problem was the toilet seat broke in the half bath. It was already "almost broke off" but completely came off during our stay. But did not take away from how much we all enjoyed being there. The 1st floor bedroom was almost completely cut off from the rest of the house and made for a nice retreat at the end of the day. Thank you Bratton for the use of the your delightful house.

Fantastic home, great location

This home was perfect for our relaxing get-away and was superb in every way. The beds were all very comfortable and the separate spaces for our 5 adults were perfect. The kitchen is first class in every way and very well supplied with everything you would need if you choose to eat in; we prepared all our meals here and never lacked any dishes, cooking pans, or utensils. The neighborhood is very quiet and is great for walking or bicycle riding. We even enjoyed the kayaks on the pond! Georgetown's historical district is delightful and it is a relatively short drive to the ocean at Pawley's Island. We would love to stay again when in the area.

Shared family time

My husband and I have 4 grown children and 5 granchildren.some of whom live in different cities across the country. Our hope was to find a place to all gather and enjoy time with each other. None of us have a home large enough. We were excited to find this home and since not all our children and grandchildren were able to make the trip the ones that came were excited to see there was plenty of room for us and to enjoy time together. All of us thought this home was very beautiful and had all the necessities we needed to enjoy our holiday. We would come here again if the opportunity was available for us to come again. A wonderful host!

Perfect Birthday weekend

The house more than exceeded our expectations- it is a beautiful secluded coastal home tucked away in a little residential community not far from historic Georgetown. The house itself is amazing and stocked with anything you may need if you forgot something. We had 3 couples with us to celebrate a birthday weekend and each couple had their own comfy king size bed and private bath. Cooking was a breeze and the beautiful bar area made Happy Hour even happier! One of our days we went on a bike ride through the neighborhood and visited the community marina - next time we may bring our boat! We would definitely book this property again. 2 things for anyone booking the property - remember you are on the coast - bring insect repellent if you are going to be outside 😀 and bring a couple bags of ice to put in the freezer. At this time there is no ice maker on the premise but I did talk with Bratton (the owner) and he said he is looking into an ice maker for the house. BTW- the check in/out process was super easy - Bratton was an amazing host and very attentive. Book this adventure- you will love it!

Wonderful property

The house was perfect for our family, my two sons, their wives and their three daughters and myself, roomy, private, beautiful inside and out. The teenagers used the scoter, bicycle and kayak. Bratton was responsive, quickly answering any questions we had. Everyone enjoyed the place and we hope to come back.

Fantastic Getaway in a park like setting

Beautiful house on a small pond in a park like setting. Large bedroom and sitting / living rooms made for a great place to relax and not feel overcrowded. The master bedroom is as large as some small houses. We were looking for a house where all the kids and grandkids could be together, and not have to go out for meals, and this was the place. The large kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking a breeze. House was well supplied with cups, dishes, and utensils. We never worried about running out. House has both front and back porches with plenty of chairs to sit and read a book, have meals or just listen to the peace and quiet. Surrounded by woods gave us plenty of privacy and the kids were watching for wild life. On those rainy days, there are tv's in almost every room, and so many games stored away, you could always find something to keep the kids busy. The pool table helped keep the teenagers entertained. The homeowner was very friendly, and readily available. If we had a question or needed assistance, he immediately responded to calls/text. We highly recommend this property for the weekend getaway or for a long deserved vacation.

The Heat Is On Sporting Clay Shoot

This is the second time my family and friends have rented this place. It is truly an assisting home. The owner Bratten is great to work with and attentive to details. I highly recommend this house if you are looking to rent in or around Georgetown!!! We will be back again!!
