We had a really great stay at Sara & Eddie's place. We stayed 3 nights. They are both wonderful, very nice people. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, between picking and offering fresh fruit from their many trees, chopping coconuts for fresh coconut water, and providing us a cooler for the beach. We got great, insider tips for the many beaches, suggestions for restaurants, and a lot of information on Vieques that only a local would be able to offer. The room is offered at a really great price. It is not huge but it is very functional. There is a fridge, an excellent gas stove, enough appliances, dishes, pots and pans, and silverware. There is a breakfast counter right outside the room facing the yard, with it's trees, a horse, cats, and occasional chickens. It has a rustic feel and really helped us relax. We had breakfast there.It is not in the Esperanza party district. You will need a car/jeep to get around. But the island is really compact. We could get anywhere in 15-20 minutes. They are a 3 minute drive from a reasonably priced and well-equipped grocery store, and two gas stations. There's are cafes and restaurants nearby and all over the island. It is more or less equidistant and party close to the north, quieter coast, and the south, more lively coast. Again, we had an awesome stay and we would definitely stay with them again.
