Amazing Farm stay

The place was great.. this is a great place to experience the farm living. The area is huge and to the surprise there were horses chickens and iguanas.. best to view from far..the host Gabriel was very responsive.Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful night sky

Me and my family stayed two nights at Amarilla Casita. We had no issues, the conditions were basic, bathroom was clean, there was plenty of room to sleep. Love the island ! We had wonderful meals at El Norte restaurant.

Nice Clean Place To Stay

We chose this location because it was centrally located. The grounds were nice, but the hill is very steep. The house was very basic, but clean. It had everything we needed. Check in process was very easy. Great location!

We had a great stay at this property. The house is basic and not fancy, but had everything we needed and was a good value for the money. The AC in the bedrooms worked great. Spending time in the hammocks on the balcony was awesome. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus for us. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good, basic place to stay on the island.

The thing we enjoyed the most was the beautiful view of the night sky, there’s no light pollution. They were very generous with the towels they provided, and we really enjoyed the balcony with hammock and chairs. House was very comfortable. Not walking distance from anything but very close drive to a really nice beach

Helpful host and tranquility

The property was as described with several general grocery items provided. A little store was just a short walk away which was convenient, and kitchen stocked with all things needed to cook. It was quiet from human activity but there are chickens and a peacock that talk a lot but I enjoyed that while relaxing in hammock. Host was so helpful and attentive. I would stay there again. peacock

Relaxing get away

Owner graciously let us check in early. We had problems with internet, despite communication with owner, but it was not a big deal. Property was rustic, but very convenient, had everything we needed, nice view, private, relaxing. This was our return to Vieques after 25 years. The snorkelling not what it once was, but still kind of a magical place. Would stay here again, for sure.

Perfect place for the adventurous

House is awesome for those that like adventure. You will absolutely need a Jeep to get up the driveway and the trek back down the hill is a thrill ride in itself. The house itself is no frills but has everything you need. The umbrellas and body board and cooler were a huge help. The bed is comfortable and the location is very picturesque and the sounds of the island will put you to sleep and make sure you don’t sleep in. Can’t wait to pick this place when we return!

Love the yellow house

Located on a nice piece of property with beautiful trees. The house was just perfect for us. We have 4 kids so the bunk beds worked perfect. The queen bed for us was comfortable. There were a/c units in each bedroom. There was a cooler and chairs for the beach. Also there was beach towels to use. The host was absolutely amazing! We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful remote and rustic property

We loved the view from the porch, the hammocks, the well appointed kitchen, numerous beach towels and chairs, and all the wild animals about the place. There lots of iguanas and chickens in the yard. The whole island is teaming with life. If you need where you stay to feel really sterile then this isn’t the place for you - it opens up to the outside. We saw no more bugs than in our own home despite being so open to fresh air. The AC gets nice and cool in the bedrooms. We could easily drive to anywhere on the island from this central location.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was an amazing stay for my family and I. My biggest concern was sharing 1 bathroom among 5 family members but everything was perfect. We managed just fine. The kitchen had everything one could need. The owner was very communicative throughout the booking and check in process. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony, the hammocks, the view!! The mild inconvenience was not being by the beach but in Vieques, renting a car or bringing your own car on the ferry is much preferable anyways than relying on transportation. I can’t say enough good things about this place, it was exactly what we needed. We loved everything about it. Thank You!

very helpful host

Gabriel answered our calls promptly and did his best to accommodate us. I shared that the oven top only 3 burners were working properly and he tried to get them repaired. Since we didn't care and the repair man was off island we just left it to do later. We enjoyed the roosters and peacocks and the privacy. It was a short distance to go to Esperanza, which was convenient to the bioluminescent bay. Thank you

Well if you’re under 30 and like camping, it’s sort of like that. It’s essentially a camp that’s not insulated at all so you hear every little noise. The plywood walls have small gaps where mosquitoes get in. It’s very rustic and dated. It could use a little attention. The price is probably higher than what it should be for what you get. Also, the directions were a bit confusing.

The listing is not accurate. Save yourself the time and trouble. Stay somewhere else. The owner doesnt keep uo the home. The place has holes in the walls where the bugs come in, the mini fans are not enough to cool the home, the yard is covered in trash and horse feces. It looks like it might have once been a nice place before Hurricane Maria. Its a dump now.

SO CUTE! PERFECT FOR US!

If you are uppity, get a hotel! This is the cutest house on a big hill- perfect for our island weekend on Vieques! I recommend getting the UTV rental - it's probably easier to park there. Host was immediately available because all the check in instructions didn't come through to me, for some reason. So cute & the porch was perfect for evenings to enjoy the view & peacefulness! The only things you'll hear are the frogs, roosters, & guineas. We didnt get the instructions after the driving directions in the host information, so make sure you have that with the code numbers and his phone number. But he was immediately available when i had the initial issue, and checked on us a couple of times throughout. LOVED IT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had an Incredible stay here. The view is amazing! There was always something interesting to see from the porch, horses, cows, chickens, iguanas and a beautiful night sky. The location is perfect for getting anywhere on the island, and the beaches are gorgeous. The home is comfortable with all the necessities, and was cleanest rental I have ever encountered. The Host is very responsive and communication was warm and kind. Check-in and Check-out couldn’t have been easier. We hope to return for a longer stay next time.
