Our host was very kind and explained. Everything showed us all around. We felt very comfortable with the home before she left. It was super clean and well stocked! Right on the lake it was such a beautiful view. The sunrise was amazing every morning. At night, we could sit out on the dock and watch the stars, and we also had the beautiful fire pit. There’s also the deck out the front patio doors and that’s a great place to sit and relax. All the amenities were as presented and plenty of everything! Checkout was easy and we would definitely stay there again. So cozy I could easily call it home!

Stonehaven's view of Lake Huron is absolutely beautiful -- including from right inside the house! As you look out the picture window, the shoreline is literally just feet away. With warm temps and sunshine during our late September stay, we were able to spend quite a bit of time outside enjoying the waterfront swing, firepit, and chairs, including at sunset when we toasted marshmallows. Just stunning! Inside, the house was super clean, tidy and comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Beds were comfy, with ample soft blankets. Our dog, a Golden Retriever, loved jumping off the dock into the water and eventually got used to walking up the extremely rocky shore. Thank you for a fantastic stay at Stonehaven, we'd love to return!

What an amazing place to stay! We do not want to go home! The house is in a great location as a home base. The views of the water calms the soul and lowers your BP immediately. The host was amazingly accommodating to us. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more. The porch was lovely for morning coffee and watching the loons and otters. We had a great night of campfire and stargazing. The beds were cozy and warm. Be sure to check out Esther’s for the best Mexican and customer service! The hosts at this Stonehaven have really thought of every comfort, by far the best VRBO experience I have ever had! I would love to come back for a longer stay someday! Thank you so much!

Stovehaven is truly magical. The kitchen is very well stocked (and this coming from a home chef), the home is clean, the beds are fabulous, and of course, the view just takes your breath away. Everything is just wonderful. You can't beat the location being close to the ferry, but only about 10 minutes from "town" (shops and a couple places to eat, carry outs, gas, etc.) but only 20 minutes from the local ATV rental too. The highlight - for us, as birders - however, was the birds. If you are interested in birds, or an avid birder, this cottage is a perfect location for Ravens, Eagles, and Warblers! We saw everything from Black and White Warblers, to having resident Black-Throated Greens, a Ruby-Throat, and so many more! We would gladly return here to this incredible place.

This home has a gorgeous view of the water and is very conveniently located. We loved exploring the island and were able to navigate some of the trails with our pickup truck. The fall colors were beautiful and the weather was mild enough to enjoy the fire pit near the shoreline. Very relaxing vacation.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely stay at Stonehaven. Our host, Kari, was very helpful. The cottage was beautiful and clean. It has an amazing view! Would definitely recommend and consider staying there again.
