"Up North" Lake Home $185 night

The perfect "up north" lake home with west facing lake exposure on Munger Lake. 2BD, 1 full bath. Lovely vaulted ceiling w/tongue & groove walls. Open great rm w/kitchen. Large deck w/gas grill. Come launch your boat at boat landing & tie up at the private dock. Listen to the loons, build a fire in firepit or enjoy an outdoor meal on the large deck. Level to the water. The dock area is mucky not-the best for swimming but great for fishing. Bring your ATV/UTV & ride from your door. NO PARKING ON GRASS!

BRING YOUR OWN LINENS...sheets, pillowcases, blankets & towels not provided. We provide start up roll of paper towel and toilet paper and 1 garbage bag. Any additional supply will be the renters responsibility.

Home is clean, please leave it in the same condition.
Dump hrs are posted..please take your own trash!

Firewood can be purchased in Lakewood at the Shell gas station or on Cty Rd F.

Beautiful house and the area around. Very quite and peaceful. The only inconvenience is that you have to bring with you your own bedding and that you have to take garbage somewhere 10 minutes away, but if you are checking out on Sunday, garbage place does not open till 1pm, so you have to stick around and wait. But in any case we really enjoyed our stay.

This was our second stay here. We love the house and, coming in September and October, it’s very peaceful and private. It’s more of a “bring your own stuff” place than some others but it was not an issue for us. Clean, comfortable house, great host, it’s a winner.

Very nice

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. It accommodated to visit with our family and have an amazing views of the lake. It’s a short drive to Lakewood we’re you have great restaurants, bars, and a nice north woods grocery store. Lakewood also has a bait shop with fishing gear for those of us who like to fish.

After issues with our last two rentals, it was nice to have a lockbox with a combination. The cottage was true to the photos provided. We were disappointed, however, since it said everything was provided-there were no spices or salt and pepper, a partial roll and one small roll of paper towels that used up quickly with no kitchen towels to wipe hands, two single rolls of toilet tissue which were also used quickly with 4 people, and one tall kitchen trash bag in the garbage bin to last for our 6-day stay. We had to buy more of everything. The propane grill stopped working while grilling on the 2nd night, due, I assume, to running out of propane. My grandson was excited to fish from the pier, but broke his rod on the first cast when it got caught on a downed tree hanging over the water. We bought him another rod, but every time he cast it got caught on the weeds and lily pads around the pier so he finally gave up. He and my daughter tried swimming, but sank to their knees in muck and their suits were filthy with mud when they got out so swimming was out, too. I did get to see the double meteor showers on our last night and hear the loons calling which was great though mosquitoes were horrible and kept us from sitting out for too long. We were provided a dump sticker, but they were closed when we arrived with our several bags of trash and didn’t re-open until after we were leaving next day-a posting of hours would’ve been helpful.

Peaceful stay

Cabin was exactly as pictured. It was clean and beautiful. We caught a couple fish from the dock and truely enjoyed listening to the loons.

This was a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay. There is a kayak rental approx 10 min away. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Atv weekend

Nice place to stay on a lake, the dog loved to play catch into the lake and the kids enjoyed kayaking. Nice neighborhood and easy to get to.

A jewel in the up north

We made a last minute decision to spend a couple of days up north before having to deal with some medical issues. We looked and looked but being short notice it seemed every place was booked. We about gave up when this house turned hip. We are so glad we found it! Clean, comfortable, woodsy. The perfect place for our last blast of summer. The host was accommodating, checkin was a breeze. We only wished we had more time up there.

Absolutely beautiful

Talk about beauty, this is it!!! The front porch view with the rocking chairs is honestly heavon alone! I got a weedless worm for some fishing off the dock and snagged a large mouth bass right away! Perch fish is great too!!! Only downfall was the toaster, it burns one side and doesnt barely touch the other so plan accordingly!

Perfect short get away

The cottage was very clean. Excellent views of the lake. Short distance to Lakewood. We didn't want to leave! Saving up to spend more days next time.

Kayaking, fishing and smores

The picures do not due justice, this little cabin on the lake is very nicely renovated, and VERY clean. Had everything we needed, and anything we wanted was a short and scenic drive. Not ideal for swimming, but that was not our main objective. My son caught his first pike right of the dock and some pretty nice bass. The water is very clear, and no algae blooms were seen. When I did have to reach out to host on a very minor issue, she was very responsive and attentive. Would highly recommend!!

Lakeside Oasis

We definitely enjoyed the lake house. The home was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Plus we were delighted with the lake, nature, wildlife and deck.

Great cabin

We had a great holiday weekend. Cabin was great and right on the water. We rented a pontoon and we were able to dock it right outside the cabin. We also brought our side by side and rode trails which are right off the driveway. Overall a great place. Driveway is a little steep and narrow if you have a large boat or trailer, but there is plenty of room to turn around and park down by the house.
