Escape to Northeast Wisconsin! Located on Wheeler Lake, You’ll be in the heart of Townsend-Lakewood country during your stay at this beautiful, brand new, 2-bedroom, 1-bath retreat, featuring a modern well-appointed interior offering all the comforts of home. Only a short walk to Wheeler Lake public beach and the public boat launch only .5 miles away. Head into town to pursue quaint shops, wineries, ice cream shoppes and restaurants, or venture out further for exciting outdoor recreation. This cabin is close to town but still has a country feel. Located on 6 private acres so there is plenty of space for enjoying the outdoors with a fire pit, benches, and picnic table. There is room for parking vehicles and a boat or trailer. 

There are many lake accesses, snowmobile/ATV trails, biking trails, golf course, ski hill and hiking trails near this location. Located in the heart of Nicolet National Forest!!!

Quiet, family getaway

We traveled to this Wheelerwood property on a whim with our two young children and dog. We wanted to disconnect and relax for a few days and this property did the trick. Very nicely furnished and worked well for us. Location is peaceful and beautiful and the kids loved the swimming beach nearby.

Last minute trip UTVing and casino run. Laura was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions right away. Loved the cabin. Just right for my wife and our 4 pound poodle. Would definitely book again.

Family vacarion

This was our second time staying here! We also have a cabin on Lakewood but our family has outgrown it. So we love staying here when our entire family is at Lakewood! It is the perfect place and Laura is always available if needed to answer any questions!

Relaxing escape!

We loved staying at this property! The check in/out process was seamless. The property was clean and functional. Great for a couple and one child or multiple adults/children. We will definitely be returning:)

The cabin is very clean and modern inside, while very traditionally "up north" outside with a campfire area and lots of woodsy trails. The access to the beach is about a half-mile walk from the house, but we arent beach people, so not a big deal. The best part was the woods on the property. Lots of hiking area for us to take our dog "off leash". Very close to fun spots ( mini golf, candy store, and Maiden Lake Supper Club). Overall, a relaxing mini vacation!

Love Lakewood

I have been coming to Lakewood for 30 years. Now that my siblings and I have kids we outgrew our cabin. This was the perfect place for my little family to stay. Clean, close to the beach, great space,etc. I would love to stay again!

Family gathering

We were at my sisters place most of the time. We just used the VRBO to sleep. We had 5 adults and 3 children. It suited our needs fine.

Great cozy cabin in the woods!

We had a great time with the kids exploring the area! The beach up the road was a lot of fun, water was crystal clear and a perfect way to get a break from the heat. We rented a UTV locally and were very excited to have a fresh home to come home and relax in. Overall a great experience and will recommend. A+

Getaway weekend

My husband and I and our dogs came Up for a birthday/long weekend getaway to hunt birds. The house is across the street from the lake, but has a trail you can walk, and a fire pit outside we never got to use. The house was very clean with all the amenities. 20 min drive from early everything you would need. We might be making this a yearly ritual. Thank you!!

Perfect Cabin Getaway

We’ve stayed at Wheeler Lake with friends in the past, so we were already familiar with the area. This cabin is perfect for families, groups of friends or even a couple’s getaway. It has everything you need for a fun & relaxing vacation away from the hustle & bustle. Ample parking, a fully stocked kitchen, smart TVs, strong WiFi, AC, large fire pit with seating for 6, a bbq grill and more! The surrounding grounds is a picturesque backwoods that puts you in a relaxed headspace when you arrive. It’s a quick walk to the beach as well. On top of it all, the owner is super responsive! We will definitely be staying here again in the future. I’d give it more than 5* if I could.

Wheeler lake

We were allowed to check in early which was great, it allowed us time to get to the lake and enjoy the only nice day of the weekend(stupid rain). We got great response when we needed some firewood, it was delivered in record time. The place was so sweet and perfect for 3 adults and 4 children, the bunk beds were a hit. The kids didn't want to leave and kept calling this a perfect vacation, (even with the rain)! The Kitchen was fully stocked with any gadget we could possibly need. The pictures we're a bit deceiving however, the impression I had when I booked, was the lake was right across the street, it is however about a 1/4 mile down the road.That's okay though, we still had a great time and loved the property. Thanks again!
