Beautiful house and great location

This is a beautiful house with plenty of room. The location was perfect. The owners are extremely friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place and look forward to renting this for our future stays.

House was very nice and roomy. Clean. Could use a few more kitchen amenities but otherwise a great place to stay. Accommodated our group well and the garage was nice for parking the motorcycles.

Big gray house in McGregor

Nice house with plenty of room for a bigger group. Had deer outback and morel mushrooms also. Will definitely stay here again.

Great house, great location!

Very nice and spacious home with plenty of room for 10 people from 3 different families. All the bedrooms are very large and all the amenities needed for a worry free stay. Great location on the edge of town, I would highly recommend stopping by White Springs Supper Club which is about 1/4 mile away for the prime rib and ice cold beer. Have already booked to stay here again next month!

Clean and Comfortable

We had a wonderful time at this vacation rental over the coldest weekend of the winter. The property provided excellent comfort for our extended family, including the kids. Despite the frigid weather, nearby shops and the casino maintained a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The well-plowed driveway and spotless house made for a warm, cozy, and comfortable stay.

Bachelorette Weekend

Absolutely perfect house for my sisters bachelorette/bridal weekend! The house was super clean, tons of space to hang out and to sleep and a great location to have a safe place for us to come back to after dinner and a night out. Also, you were a lifesaver since the airbnb that was previously reserved, frustratingly canceled the reservation a couple days before however, it turned out way better than expected. Thank you so much!! 100% recommend!

Tiki Summer Gathering

Don’t let the lack of curb appeal of this house mislead you, it is one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. The inside is nearly new construction! The beds were amazing comfy cozy and the house had all the necessities! The owner was very quick to respond to a very late booking and thankfully able to accommodate us and take care of us after our original booking with a different VRBO was cancelled. Keep an eye out for wildlife… we saw deer everyday and a turkey flew right over the front porch.

Ancestry Trip to Monona

Our family stayed in McGregor to research our family history in Monona, McGregor and the surrounding area. The location worked well for us and the landlord was available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. They are still doing some work on the house, but the living area was complete and well maintained. The jacuzzi has a note that the jets aren't working - an earlier reviewer also said they weren't working so it that is important, ask if it's been fixed. Thank you for a comfortable place to land with family during our trip.

Ups and Downs

Check-into the house went fine. As I walked in there was a terrible musty smell throughout the house as the air conditioning was not on & if it was it was set at 80 degrees. My son got the air going but the smell stayed & was still pretty strong for 24 hours. I don't know if it was coming from the laundry area, or from the basement. It was nice that we could park in the garage. There are lots of steps to get into the house from either entrance & then more steps to get to the bedrooms. On the second night the Co2 detector went off & we tried to contact the owner. He couldn't get there until the next day he said so we sat out on the deck to be out of the house & called the fire department. They came and confirmed that the Co2 levels were too high & they shut off all the gas and opened windows and brought in big fans to clear out the house. We sat out on the deck for over 3 hours that night with very scared tired children and the fire department finally declared that the house was safe to return to but I and I don't think anyone else got a very good nights sleep after that. The fire department said that they thought it was from the gas stove. The owner said that he would get a replacement stove in the next morning but no one showed up to replace it. We didn't have a stove or oven to cook on for the rest of our time there. We purchased a flat top griddle to be able to cook meals we had planned. The house is closer to the road then expected with no back yard.

Very nice place to stay!!!

A few issues jetted tub not working low to no water pressure at times but nothing worth loosing sleep over we let owners know and are looking forward to returning again and having those issues addressed. Very well kept house no complaints just constructive criticism!!! Thankyou hope we were good guests!!!
