Catch of the Bay

With breathtaking views of the Apalachicola Bay and some of the most gorgeous sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico, you will be right at home at Catch of the Bay in the Plantation. This home is uniquely private with a gorgeous boardwalk that will take you to the water's edge. A wall of windows facing the Bay provides an abundance of Florida nature from every view. The hot tub is a great place to relax and enjoy quiet time. Fishermen will love direct water access from the private dock with boat lift at no extra charge!

The exterior of this home offers covered, concrete parking and an exterior staircase which leads to the first floor living space. The ground floor's large bonus game room featuring an air hockey table, comfortable seating and a large flat screen TV creates the perfect place for the kids to hangout.

Enjoy a dip in the relaxing hot tub in the screened room with a view of the bay. The boardwalk, brimming with nature, will take you to the water's edge where you will find a private fishing pier with boat lift. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water will greet you after a long day in the sun. A fish cleaning table and park style grille is provided to prepare your fresh catch.

The bright and delightful first floor boasts beautiful bay views with expansive natural vegetation. The open living/dining/kitchen floor plan allows everyone to gather for meals, games and comradery. The kitchen with breakfast table for 3 and counter bar seating for 2 provides plenty of space for everyone to be in the kitchen while preparing delicious coastal meals. The dining table seats 6 with additional views of the bay.

A large, screened deck offers a hanging swing, Adirondack chairs and a dining table which offer additional living space in this well-appointed home.

The SE king master has a flat screen TV, full bath with glass enclosed shower, and direct access to the screened porch. A full laundry with washer and dryer, a large walk-in pantry and a half bath.

The second floor offers the NW king bedroom with a flat screen TV and direct access to the balcony through French doors. The SE bunk room sleeps 8 in 2 queen/queen bunk beds and offers a flat screen TV and direct access to the balcony to witness those famous sunsets. A shared bathroom with 2 sinks and separate water closet are provided on this floor.

Beach chairs, beach umbrella and 2 kayaks are available for guest use.

Incredible Views and So Much More

We've been coming to SGI for over 10 years. Catch of the Bay is by far our favorite house. The view alone (and not just sunsets, which are incredible) would be worth it, but this house offers so much more. It's a great location, very comfortable, everything needed is there (plus much more) and Roxanne is super friendly, responsive and easy to work with. We love walking on the beach and the nature trails, with and without the dogs (but usually with!). It's a great place for bike riding, too, and there's actually quite a lot to do on the island and the surrounding towns. We were glad to be here for the annual Chili Crawl and cook-off this year. This is our 3rd year in Catch of the Bay and we look forward to many more!

another great stay on St George Island

this is our second year at Catch of the Bay. The house is clean, quiet and we'll equipped for a relaxing time on the bay or the beach. We loved the layout with 1 main floor bedroom and two upstairs bedrooms. this is great for family time and quiet time. We are a!ready planning for 2025.

Sitting on the Dock at Catch of the Bay

Our favorite thing to do at Catch of the Bay is to have a nightly cocktail sitting on the dock and watching the beautiful sunsets over the Bay. Catch of the Bay is a wonderful place to stay. The house has everything we could want -- a dock for fishing and sunset watching; a hot tub to ease our old achy joints (LOL); a screened-in porch for reading, dining and beating my husband at gin; comfortable beds; a fantastic master bath and shower; a wonderful kitchen stocked with all one needs to fix the catch of the day; and a great laundry room & pantry for storage. Best of all is Roxanne who is always available if anything is needed during the stay. We highly recommend Catch of the Bay as a place to stay on St. George Island. We plan to return every fall -- as long as the owners and Roxanne will have us!!!

The best experience we have ever had at St George Island!

Catch of the Bay was everything you imagined it would be! Very clean, spacious, totally stocked with everything you would need! Beautiful sunsets, fishing off the dock, watching dolphins play, splashing in the hot tub, kayaking, and sitting in the sand chairs with our toes in the sand and water are just a few things we enjoyed! Roxanne was wonderful! After 30+ years of having our yearly family vacation at St George Island this was the best experience we have had! With the house being fully stocked it made packing for the trip a lot easier and took up less space in our car! Other companies do not provide the things Roxanne does! The boat lift was a definite plus also. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Roxanne, for helping us make a lot of special memories!

Beautiful Property in a Perfect Location

We had the best time at Catch of the Bay! It is a beautiful, well maintained, well equipped home. It has end of the road quiet and an amazing dock for fishing, relaxing and sunsets! The Plantation community is exceptional with amenities, trails and beach access. This is our second visit to this property and we are hoping to return soon!

Peaceful and Perfect

This is our second year ringing in the new year at Catch of the Bay. This beautiful, clean home offers so much. Fishing off the dock, watching the sunset nightly and enjoying the quietness of the Plantation. Catch of the Bay is very clean and has an awesome layout Located in a quiet culdesac. If you are looking to relax, this is the place or you!

Perfect Month at a Perfect Place

Stayed a month at Catch of the Bay and we loved every minute of it. Had everything we could have asked for and more. Loved the long walk on the pier to the bay, got to use the boat lift with our smaller skiff. We love SGI and the Plantation is our favorite part of the Island, love the natural areas and the tranquility of the property was perfect. Nothing like Bird watching from the Back deck or the Hot Tub! Lots of parking space and a great fish cleaning area for our local catch each day. We hope to get back here again very soon!

Amazing time at Catch of the Bay

Catch of the Bay is a favorite for our family. The sunset views from the dock are amazing. We always bring our boat so having a boat lift to use makes fishing so convenient. We also enjoy fishing off the dock. We've seen dolphins swimming while sitting on the dock. You can hear the ocean waves crashing while sitting on the dock. It only takes a few minutes to walk to beach from the house. The house is spacious and beds are very comfortable. We will be back for many years to come.
