This classic cottage is a great place for a couple's retreat, honeymoon, girls' weekend or a family vacation where memories are made. This cottage sits on a property that offers spectacular amazing views of beautiful lake Muskoka and Marina view from every room it has. A great place to relax and unwind. During the winter season offers its own outdoor fun.

Poor communication and disappointing experienceUnfortunately, our experience with this booking was not positive. After reserving the property, we encountered an issue and tried to contact both the host and Vrbo right away. Communication from the host was unhelpful and we never received check-in or access instructions. In the end, we were unable to stay at the property and were disappointed by the lack of flexibility and support.

The view is nice but the description wasn't accurate. There was tv but it wasn't functional. There is no oven like they listed in the amenities. Very few utilities like plates, utensils and pans, no cups. There was no basic stuff like paper towels or kitchen towels. We had to purchase at their store at the marina which was expensive. Shampoo and body wash wasn't also included. The grill was broken and took us a long time to cook our food. Overall I was expecting a cozy stay but if you want to book here make sure you bring everything you need.

Came here for a small bachelor party. Perfect location to escape city life. Property was even better than the pictures display!

Bbq was not working well. Bathroom was pretty clean but no shower gell and flush was blocked several times. And no pan in kitchen to make some food. Ac cooling was slow in ground floor.

Great getaway

Needed a place to stay for 1 night. Wish we would of stayed longer. Clean. Roomy. Close to Gravenhurst downtown. Would rent and stay here again.

Good location. Opportunity for improvement: Twin beds are very squeaky. The oven door glass was ready to fall off with no handle present. The TV is on the wall but no signal source, was told that it’s a showpiece.

Worst stay ever

The house was full of spider webs everywhere, beneath chairs, inside the oven, on a kitchen chimney, chandeliers and I didn’t even have courage to open the barbecue. The host was very rude.. I asked for extra towels and utensils, he said the he would charge more.. the water heating kettle was not working and we asked for it, we were told that they provide basically NOTHING!!

Many issues

No check-in instructions were provided beforehand, the cottage is located inside a marina (parking was the same as marina parking), which was not obvious by the address. We had to drive up to the marina gate and call the number on the gate fob. Many aspects of the listing were not accurate. There was no hot tub as advertised, the kitchen was not fully usable as cups, plates, cutlery and utensils were not provided. There was a patio but no outdoor seating. The living room had no furniture other than a pull out couch. The only seating is the dining table and wooded chairs. The TV/remote didn’t work. The water was not potable, luckily we brought bottled water for drinking but this was not told to us before. The shower did not work (sputtering and the water was from the lake so it didn’t look clean). The bedrooms were very clean but the main floor and bathroom were not very clean. The property manager did provide plastic cups and paper plates/cutlery when we asked, and was very kind. But it’s very unprofessional to not let us know before hand. We would not have booked this cottage if we had known this, since we were looking for a cozy cottage weekend rather than a camping experience.

The check-in was great. The kitchen and the house in general were ok, but it could have at least two chairs on the deck. No place to seat an enjoy the view.

Beautiful spot but bring some essentials

An absolutely beautiful spot. The property was as advertised but you may need to bring some essentials such as a coffee maker, cutlery (I left some behind), plates, cups, knives, pots and pans if you plan to cook. Also the water was not potable but there is a kettle to boil water or bring your own. Th owner just has to state the items I mentioned in the description so people are prepared for these shortfalls. Still worth it.

Beautiful Lakefront Cottage

Beautiful and very spacious cottage! I loved the rustic feel and the many extraordinary views! The owners were so helpful and accommodating! I will definitely be staying again. (Side note: bring your own pots, pans, cutlery, dishes- they offer disposable items)
