ReviewI’ve stayed here twice…this year! That should tell you all you need to know but I’ll say more. Place is clean. Easy check in. Robert is a very responsive host. Plenty of parking for truck & trailer. Walking distance to a boat ramp or 10 minutes to Dreher Island State Park.

This property is set up real cute. It is perfect for a party of 2 wanting some RnR in a quiet neighborhood on Lake Murray. Quaint with lots of little extras making one feel right at home. Perfect place for those wanting some lake activity. Owners real nice and personal. Willing to be available if need be.

We stayed at The Last Resort after a fun day of boating on the Lake. Great location with views of the lake and near great choices for lunch and dinner.

We loved the design of the small home, the cleanliness, the supplies and infrastructure of just about anything you need for a stay, and the close location to the lake and restaurants. The sleeping space itself needs air conditioning, we debated several nights to sleep in the living room instead. The sleeping space is also facing towards a surprisingly busy street, which adds some additional noise at night. I think that roaches are not completely preventable in a more rural setting with frequent visitors coming and leaving, but I still would recommended a thorough home assessment for improved pest control. Thank you for letting us stay in the Last Resort. We will definitely consider to return in the future.

Excellent Owner

Beautil view of the lake, easy check in and out process. Location was not difficult to find. Everything inside the home was so comfortable, and was perfect for cooking. The marina and 2 restaurants are only a block down the street with beautiful views and sunsets and food at the restaurants was amazing. Thank- You so much for our stay, the owner of the property always will respond if you require anything. Appreciate everything.

Lake Murray Retreat

It was absolutely fabulous, charming little home, pet friendly. Owners were wonderful. 1min from boat ramp. They have all the amenities you need. Wonderful restaurant environment, and if the ones at the marina don’t suit your taste, there are plenty to choose from in town. All around just a wonderful time.

Last Resort

This property was perfect for my purposes. I was here with my boat and trailer for a tournament and there was ample space for me to park both. The ramp at Martin’s Landing is just moments away and Dreher Island boat ramp is less than 15 minutes. I launched at both locations.Martin’s ramp is well lit, available 24 hours using their drop box to pay the 5 launch fee. If the parking is full you are close enough to park at the rental and walk back, 3 minutes. Yes I timed it. The restaurants looked great though I did not eat at either. You will hear vehicles coming & going from those establishments.Check in was a breeze and the house was super neat and clean. I sometimes have concerns staying in a pet friendly rental due to allergies but as soon as I walked in I had no worries. It was pristine. Robert was super responsive to any questions that I had during my stay. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! One of the better locations I’ve been to. I was here a week.

Cozy getaway near Lake Murray

Spring fishing trip

Came down for a week fishing trip and the property was exactly what I was looking for, plenty of parking for my truck and boat. Very clean and had everything I needed for my stay.

This property is within walking distance to martins landing where they sell gas, bait and tackle, alcohol and any needs you can think of. Enjoy food from either Nacho Margarita (Mexican Restaurant) and Martins Landing bar and grill. You are able to wake up and put your boat into the water at the landing and they also have a convenience store located at the Marina! Dreher Island state park is also a couple miles around the corner.
