Slice of Heaven

Everything that was described in the listing. The property is peaceful and serene. Nature abounds. We caught crabs and watched sea birds from the pier. A few deer, wild turkeys and rabbits stopped by as well. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. The house was very nice. Clean and organized. I liked that we just had to strip the beds and put our towels in the hamper. We left it as we found it. Check out couldn't have been easier. Thank you to our host. We had a lovey time

Peaceful and Relaxing Getaway

We had wonderful few days at the property. The house is very clean, cozy, nicely decorated, comfortable, with great attention to details. The hosts are super responsive and attentive. Check-in process was easy. While at the house, we enjoyed kayaking, fishing, crabbing and family time with the kids. We also had a great time exploring the area and nearby towns. The Northern Neck area is very charming, not as commercial as some other areas on the Chesapeake Bay, but it has a rich history, great food places, beautiful nature and many things to do. It is perfect for a peaceful getaway near the water. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! Thank you so much!

Excellent experience

The property was immaculate and well-appointed, with an efficient check in process and a friendly and responsive host. If you are looking for a Northern Neck family getaway on the water, this is a great spot!

Beautiful house on the water

This property was well kept, had everything you need and nothing you didn't. The furnishings, amenities and decorations were absolutely perfect. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Awesome Stay

We totally enjoyed the stay. It is a good place to get together and have family fun. We enjoyed the kayaks (we brought one of our own), we really liked the paddle boards (this was a first experience with us), the crabs were our highlight. We caught them all week and then had a big crab cook. We even had leftovers! The owners seemed eager to please. We would recommend highly.

Long weekend and Happy Daze

Our family (4 adults, 2 kids), had a few days to get away last minute and we were lucky enough to score a rental at Happy Daze in Reedville, VA. Pre-trip, Shao and Ryan (owners) confirmed our rental quickly, a few quick formalities and we were set for our trip. Prior to the trip Shao provided a very thorough and helpful guide, including details of the home, what was provided, suggestions for packing, and a lot of detail on the area we would be staying. Not your ordinary guide it even included up to date event and activity details for the time we would be there. Access details were provided the morning of check in. Shortly after checkin we received a message from Shao welcoming us and offering assistance should it be needed. When we came across a question, Shao was responsive to questions asked through the VRBO app and when a question wasn't straight forward they happily called us to sort things out. The house was clean, well appointed and offered a perfect haven for our weekend get away. We took advantage of being on the water and used the SUPs and kayak. We fished and crabbed off the dock. We explored both Reedville Main St ~10 min drive, and Kilmarnock ~25 min drive. Both offered great activities and food. Chitterchats is a must for ice cream. Check out was a smooth and check in. We thoroughly enjoyed getting away and look forward to visiting Happy Daze again in the future!
