When I first booked the property, communication was prompt but on the days we checked in and out, none of my questions were responded to. The kitchen could use some larger drinking glasses or perhaps some disposable plates and cups. We also would have liked to use the deck but it was covered in leaves and rotten fruit that had fallen from the trees. The property is in a quiet location and the house is spacious which worked perfectly for our group.

The only downside: it was obvious the house used to be smoked in. It’s clean now, but the odor was still prevalent.

Perfect for a family get together!

This was out first VRBO experience and we were so pleased with this choice. This house was accurate to pictures and the space was perfect for our family Christmas get together. The spaces allowed for everyone to be together but still have quiet space if needed. The kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean and well cared for. The chess set was a huge hit also. Our family will definitely be staying there for future!

Staycation

The house was very comfortable. No smoke smell as previous reviews had mentioned. Disappointed that the fire place could not be used as it is in the listing pictures. Had to wash some dishes before we could use them. Otherwise the house felt very clean and I used to clean professionally so I can be picky. Would recommend and stay again.

Worked great for our group

We were in KC for a Cheer Competition. This location worked great! Lots of local option for food/coffee/groceries/Dollar Store (for any items needed or forgotten) and 15-20 minutes to The Convention Center. House worked great for 8 adults and 5 teens. The adults each had our own room and there was enough room in the living space to put the teens. House was clean and everything worked fine. Only recommended items would be paper towels, kleenex and a pizza cutter. We would stay again if Comps bring us to this location.

Very nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice looking place. It was very clean. One problem was the smoke smell when you walk in. For those of us who don’t smoke that was awful. Also the house could use some coffee cups. We made coffee in the morning and there was nothing to drink it from.

Consistent quality

This was my second booking with this host. The location is always convenient, and parking is always ample. Linens and rooms are always clean. We were missing kitchen towels, and I did not reach out for more because it was Christmas Day. I am sure if I had, host would respond as quickly as last time.

Fit a group of 14 well

Stayed here for a night of rest after a Halloween event. We had a group of 14 and were able to fit comfortably, even with some singles in the group. It was warm inside despite the freezing weather and the neighborhood was quiet and felt quite safe - plenty of little ones out trick or treating. Everything was clean and there was extra bedding available as well. Didn't find the chess pieces but didn't look very hard, and love that there was a chess table there. Thank you!

Family Getaway to KC

Property at the end of this cul-de-sac worked great for us three brothers and our families to stay for a weekend getaway. Place was clean and as advertised. Updated bathrooms worked well. Location was nice for city day trips and plenty of room for the 13 of us to spread out. Cousins did lots of hide and seek. the pictured chess table was our family jigsaw puzzle table for the weekend. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars was that the kitchen was oddly lacking some "normal" items. E.G., the only glasses of any kind were coffee mugs or tiny 5 oz. juice cups, and there were no sheet pans of any kind to speak of for the oven. Bowls/platters were sparse or non-existant. Owners need to drop $30 or $40 at their local thrift store to stock the kitchen back up if there is to be an appeal for the property to be "family friendly." But, that minor complaint aside, was a good property and good experience/

Nice open gathering space

Worked well for our family to have plenty of seating in common area with floor & table space for the kiddos to play, plenty of beds, plenty of towels in hall closet, nice refrigerator size. Enjoyed the hot pot for hot tea. Adequately supplied for needs. Could use some towels/washcloths/potholders for kitchen. We were not sure if we were allowed to open & use a brand new (unopened/sealed) large coffee container found in a top upper cabinet. No coffee condiments or station were found so take your own, I suppose? No games or puzzles or books/magazines as you sometimes find but the chess pieces & table were a hit with the kids in our group. Basement is very cool/cold- but plenty of blankets. Nice, decent remodel touches, countertops, etc. Bathrooms all good. Uber ride to downtown KC was $25 one way for 4 adults. ($50 total roundtrip) We'd use this house again for our 6 adults + 3 kids.

Lots of rooms, well stocked kitchen.

Lots of rooms, good location, great price. We did need to air out the house a little, but the weather was good that weekend so it worked out. My daughter has some asthma issues and needed to stay with a relative.

Not what we expected but overall it was a good stay

So the house smelled like cigarette smoke and it made my wife very nauseous. Toilet was wobble and found some pubic hair in the shower. The back deck was unsafe for the kids and the privacy fence was about to fall over so we didn’t let the kids play out back. Over all it was ok. Management was awesome to offer us a house down the street but we were to tired to move. They also gave us a discount on our bill. We would stay with them again.
