The house was great. There were 12 of us staying over the Thanksgiving holiday and we were all comfortable and happy. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The only thing that would have made our trip better is if the dock was usable to dock our boat at. It seemingly needs some maintenance.

Great spot for a get away

River house is truly a great spot. Large clean welcoming and surrounded by tress. There plenty of space to spread out and we loved using the ping pong table! Great location to go to St Mary’s or not far from St Simon’s beach.Our host was so ready to take care of every need and was quickly responsive!I would highly recommend her house

Spacious Home on River

Beautiful setting on the river only 1 mile of Rt 95. Very peaceful. Large updated home with spacious bedrooms. Back yard and dock could use some attention though. Amazing potential.

Okefenokee Yacht Club

Several members of the Carrollton High School Class of 1966 get together this time of year for four to five days usually on a camping/canoeing trip somewhere in South Georgia. This year we changed it to glamping after our camping trip to Cumberland Island did not work out. The River House was a good choice as a replacement with its fire pit, dock, porches and accommodations

Excellent Stay

I LOVE the location of this home. When traveling My Family always like to stay together and this home offers that and then some. The Host always have cookies that my Grands love. There’s no guess work involved on the expectation and how to move around the property. Experience is A-1.

Family stay for son's Wedding

It was a great stay. Our adult kids with their families and us all together. Plenty of room and fun for all. Host were wonderful and attentive. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.

Loved this house.

Clean and very accommodating. We had our wedding in the back yard and it was amazing. They owners were very nice and quick to respond. Definitely recommend.

A Great Escape

This home is very clean, spacious, and family friendly. Our ages ranged from 2 to 47, and all were comfortable and entertained. The home is located on the most serene and beautiful marsh. It was a great escape from busy town life!

Cumberland Island Girl’s Trip

My daughters, my sisters, my niece and I planned a girls weekend and decide to go to Cumberland Island. There were 9 of us. There was plenty of room in the house to accommodate us all and we each had our own space not on top of each other. It was located very close to the island. The house is very beautiful, well maintained and the view simply gorgeous. We found everything we needed in the home. And more. The neighborhood was very quite. The host Lynne and Jay were very easy to contact and work with and even left a plate of cookies for our arrival. They also were spot on with recommendations for dinner and brunch restaurant in the area. We would for sure stay here again if we are every in the area. PPayne

Fantastic Rental for Large Family

Beautiful house and location! Can’t beat the sunsets here. The house is large and spacious and was perfect for our large extended family (grandparents) gathering. Our teenagers loved the bunk room. Comfy beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Communication was great with the host.

Perfect Wedding Venue

Weddings can be daunting, especially when you’re trying to stay within a reasonable budget and you’re only planning a small one anyways. These hosts have been absolutely wonderful from the start. They let me view the property before even booking just so I can make sure I was choosing the right spot for my small wedding, and yet again right before the big day so I can double check everything. The house easily fit my 20 guests comfortably, and had different spaces to utilize different things. The backyard was perfect for our ceremony, and the sunroom was huge so that’s where we had our dinner. The dock was adorable and the overall peacefulness of the neighborhood was just what we were looking for. 10/10 would recommend this space to anyone looking to have a small wedding, or any nice get together. Hopefully we’ll be able to stay there again some time!

A great home away from home!

This place was amazing and was such a perfect spot for my groomsmen, myself, and all of their significant others to be able to hang out comfortably and have a good time. Thank you so much to the property owners for being so available to us if there was anything we needed communication was incredible. My wife and I will 100% be renting at this property again.
