The Sonder Suite is nestled on a beautiful property located in Mary Esther mins from Hurlburt, white sandy beaches of Ft. Walton and Destin. The studio guesthouse boasts a full kitchen and bathroom with modern finishes. Relax and unwind at this unique property lined with palms and tropical plants. Perfect for a weekend retreat or an extended 'staycation'. Looking for a wedding venue? We can host small weddings in the main house.

This is a studio guesthouse with one queen bed and a couch. An air mattress is available upon request and is an additional $35 per booking. Parking spot is in front of the guesthouse or by the road on the parking pad. The guesthouse is 700 Square feet. We (the hosts) live on the property and will share the driveway with you.

Parking: Two spots (one in front of the guesthouse) and one on the street side parking pad. Please don’t block access at any time.

Pet Policy: We will use the grounds but usually in our own private area. Dogs should be leashes at all times as we have our own dogs. Pet fee is $15 a day per pet for stays up to 14 nights or $150 per month.

Location: Great location to Hurlburt Field AFB (4 mins to main gate), Downtown Mary Esther and Ft. Walton Beach. Destin is 15 mins away and the Destin (VPS) Airport is 22 mins away. Downtown Pensacola is 50 mins away.

Early check-in/out is available but costs extra. Please request this more than 48 hours in advance so we can give our cleaners appropriate time to adjust. Cleaners will be there at 10am sharp.

NO MATTER THE PLATFORM YOU BOOKED ON, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING RULES AND TIPS TO ENSURE A GREAT STAY:

1. NO SMOKING OR TOBACCO USE OF ANY KIND IN THE GUESTHOUSE OR ON THE PROPERTY
2. PLEASE KEEP FRONT AND BACK PORCH LIGHTS ON FROM DUSK UNTIL DAWN, IF IN DOUBT MIRROR MAIN HOUSE EXTERIOR LIGHTS
3. PLEASE TURN OFF INTERIOR LIGHTS WHEN YOU LEAVE THE GUESTHOUSE
4. BLACK BEARS LOVE TO PASS THROUGH THE PROPERTY; PLEASE DO NOT FEED OR APPROACH THEM. THE HOSTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THEY MAY CAUSE TO ANY INDIVIDUALS, PERSONAL PROPERTY, OR VEHICLES PARKED ON THE PROPERTY.
5. PLEASE WIPE UP SPILLS IMMEDIATELY WITH RAGS PROVIDED; LIQUIDS LEFT ON KITCHEN COUNTER WILL STAIN THE SURFACE
6. PLEASE USE COASTERS PROVIDED WHEN PLACING DRINKS ON FURNITURE 
7. PLEASE DO NOT WIPE MAKEUP ON WHITE LINENS; PLEASE USE BLACK MAKEUP CLOTHS PROVIDED

1. CHECKOUT IS AT 10AM UNLESS AGREED UPON WITH HOSTS IN ADVANCE. $100 FLAT CHARGE PLUS $50/HOUR LATE CHECK OUT FEE WILL BE ASSESSED IF YOU HAVE NOT VACATED  
2. PLEASE LOAD BUT DO NOT RUN THE DISHWASHER
3. PLEASE LOCK UP AND SEND A MESSAGE TO LET US KNOW YOU’VE CHECKED OUT; THIS ALLOWS FOR THE CLEANERS TO GET STARTED FOR THE NEXT GUESTS
4. WE DO NOT ASK YOU TO CLEAN, BUT PLEASE LEAVE THE GUESTHOUSE TIDY UPON CHECK OUT 

PET POLICY: We are pet friendly, but do charge a fee of $10 per day, per pet which is not included in the base booking price. $150 monthly fee, or $15 per day up to 14 nights. In addition, Emotional Support Animals (ESA's) are not service animals and are subject to the standard pet policy and fees. Unfortunately, we have experienced an increase in service animal fraud. To be clear, a service animal should be with you at all times and not left alone in the guesthouse. We have video surveillance and live on the property and reserve the right to report service animal fraud.

Perfect getaway!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The owners were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great trip. This is a very cute and roomy suite in a great location. We have 2 dogs and found a great dog park nearby. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Wonderful time

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 days and it was nothing short of amazing. Super close location to the beach, easy drive to the stores, and very private and peaceful at night. The Hosts were very respectful of our privacy but also made sure we had everything we needed. Great place, would love to return!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, secluded vacation home. It is a very intimate place with modern necessities, furniture, and decor. The hosts left us a sweet note with our anniversary. We love the privacy it offers, and we love how helpful our host were. Definitely plan to stay here during our next trip!

The Sonder suite

We loved our stay. It was tucked away in a nice area right off of hwy 98. Soo convient to shops, beach and food!! It was nice quiet and secluded. Just what we were looking for. Danny and Meg were the best! We will be back!!! My 2 kids loved it once being special needs loved the quiet too. . Cant say enough!!

Wonderful Place

My husband and I brought our two grandkids to the beach for the first time, along with two of our chihuahuas. We didn’t want just an originally place on the beach, so we decided to stay in the guesthouse. It was worth it! After a long day at the beach, it was so comfortable coming home to a quiet peaceful place. The guesthouse had everything we needed & the dog treats were a sweet gesture ❤️ the guesthouse was so easy to find & definitely would stay here again!

I stayed here with my boyfriend Fri-Mon, and we both enjoyed our time at this property. I agree with another reviewer who said it’s actually cuter in person. The main appeal for me when I booked this spot was the privacy and relative seclusion it offered. That part ended up being perfect, and the entire stay as a whole was smooth and enjoyable. The owner, Danny, gave us privacy while still checking in via Vrbo to ensure we were happy and didn’t need anything. I’d definitely recommend:)

perfect getaway

This place is even nicer than shown and described. Very secluded. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. It was roomier than expected. Very bright, clean and with great amenities. The bed is a luxury with super soft sheets. Danny quickly responded to my many questions. He even showed me a video of how to locate the place, especially if arriving at night. Tho right off the highway, I wasn't bothered by the sounds. He had some fresh water chilling in a Britta container in the fridge which was most helpful. About 10-15 min. to beach access, depending on traffic. Cute little patio in the back where I enjoyed my morning coffee. I would definitely stay here again. You won't regret choosing this place for a night or a week.

Couldn’t Have Asked For More!

I’ve not stayed in very many Vrbo properties but this one has set the bar! And set it high! The property feels like an adorably decorated and modern studio apartment with plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen area, seating for dining, space for clothing storage, nice size walk in shower, sitting spot outside and appointed parking right in front of the space. The location is terrific as it’s close to beaches, bases and fun stuff to do but has a nice quiet neighborhood feel when you pull in. The hosts are simply stellar! They were quickly responsive to all the questions I had prior to booking, very friendly and thorough with all information needed. Though we had no need to make any requests while we were on property, I feel certain any concern would have been swiftly addressed. The communication and little personal touches added by the hosts made the whole experience remarkable. You can certainly tell that they want you to feel welcome and comfortable. If you are headed to the Ft. Walton area, I’d highly recommend this spot. If we head that way again, Sonder Suite is definitely where you will find us!

A Slice of Heaven

Danny & Megan were the epitome of perfection as far as VRBO hosts go. They were attentive and kind and offered their time and efforts to help us through a very trying time. We stayed from Sat-Wed and, unfortunately, Sunday morning our dog, Jett, ran out of the front door (hubby didn't shut it completely) and went missing for 5.5 long days. Megan & Danny did everything they possibly could to help us get reunited with our pup (we eventually found him so no worries at all). But aside from that unfortunate turn of events, their hospitality knows no bounds. Their little slice of heaven is the BEST place to stay. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I've EVER slept on. The shower was big enough for 2 and the waterfall effect was sooo soothing to us during our stay. I loved the frigid A/C in the middle of this hot Florida heat! I absolutely recommend staying here 1000%! They are in close proximity to everything, and their wooded yard makes it feel like you're away from it all. Truly a special place. I hope you choose to come stay with them, they are really special folks and it's a super special place in our hearts. <3 Tina & Kevin

Such a hidden gem!

My husband and I stayed here with our pups and had a wonderful stay! The space is so adorable and incredibly clean. It is conveniently located to everything; shops, restaurants, and a short drive to the beach. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Can’t wait to stay again on our next trip to the Emerald Coast!
