Thanks for the great review Ann! I wish I had control over things like operation of the gate. But being a gated, secure community it does take time during peak weeks, like Thanksgiving, to confirm all those entering the grounds are indeed registered guests. The rest of the time it's pretty smooth. Thanks again for allowing us to host your holiday!

Your review is beyond disappointing & retaliatory. You never once reached out to me the entire week & upon checking out you even msg’d to thank me for the “wonderful stay in your beautiful home”. Even thanking me for the welcome basket of wine, bottled water and goodies for your family. However, when you received the $30 cleaning fee for the bbq (as outlined in the listing), you reviewed us with a one star. If you objected to the $30 charge, you could have msg'd me & we could have discussed it. Instead you chose to give me a one star. Since the house cleaners sent a dated & time stamped photo of the dirty bbq, I had to authorize the charge. Most places charge a fee for the use of a bbq but we do not. As to the hot tub listed (with pic), it is a community hot tub. The property listing never said we offered a personal hot tub; please read listings carefully. Upstairs bed - we slept on that mattress 2 weeks before your arrival & am dumbfounded that you found it dips; it was firm for us but everyone has there own preference for comfort. Shower - I’m sorry to hear your adult daughter slipped twice inside the shower. There are anti-slip stickers on the shower floor as well as nonskid mats outside the shower. I’m not sure what happened or what else to provide. This was the first instance we have heard of this happening, let alone twice within a week, even with the multiple number of guest who have enjoyed the home.

I would not recommend hosting Nicole and her family. She checked in around 9:30 PM and immediately reported that the sliding glass door wouldn’t open. This was surprising, as the cleaners had just left at 3 PM with no reported issues. Nonetheless, I offered to send our handyman, but she said her husband had fixed it. Later that night, she claimed the sheets on all beds were filthy and said they had stripped the beds. This was shocking, as I have dated & time-stamped photos taken after cleaning that show the home — including all bedding — was clean and in excellent condition. I offered to bring fresh sheets right away, but she declined. I also asked for photo evidence multiple times, which she never provided. The next day, I again offered clean linens and requested proof of the issue, but she didn’t respond. When my housekeeper arrived with fresh sheets, they were not allowed inside. At this point, I reported the situation to VRBO, as the behavior appeared suspicious. VRBO also noted that the circumstances were unusual for a legitimate complaint. Based on this experience, I would advise caution in hosting this guest.
