Fernleigh es una hermosa casa de tres dormitorios, ubicado a pocos minutos de la playa. Los propietarios eran una vez que los propietarios de la antigua tienda de antigüedades en Mar llamado 'Fernleigh'. A pesar de que la casa está llena de antigüedades, es ideal para familias y niños de todas las edades.
La casa le da la bienvenida con un gran porche-in que tiene un swing en un lado y mecedoras alrededor de una pequeña mesa en el otro. Usted ingresa al área de techo alto con chimenea, mesa de juego, área de comedor y cocina. El pasillo que conduce a la habitación principal con cama de matrimonio también tiene una lavadora y secadora armario. El baño principal de conexión tiene una bañera con patas estilo antiguo con ducha adjunto. Se encuentra el acceso al porche trasero a través de la cocina y el dormitorio principal.
Arriba, `ll encontrar el segundo y tercer dormitorios con un baño completo compartido-(sólo ducha) entre los dos dormitorios. El dormitorio de la izquierda es un dormitorio de matrimonio con acceso al balcón. El dormitorio de la derecha tiene un sofá-cama doble con sofá-nido. Esta habitación también tiene acceso al balcón con asientos y vistas.

Great location and house very clean. Lots of space for group at tables and great kitchen . The property mangers very responsive when we had a few questions. The only negative and it’s really personal preference. The bed in master is very hard. If you like that then all good. I would have preferred a mattress topper to soften it a bit.

Very Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing in Seaside for years. This was the first time we have had issues with the rental. When we arrived at Fernleigh, there was a lot of sand in the king and queen beds. The ceiling fans on the front porch did not work. We tried using box fans instead, but the outlet on the porch was hanging out of the wall and had a short so box fans wouldn’t work. TV inn the twin bedroom did not work. This was reported, but not addressed by the management. The upstairs shower made a horrific, loud squeeling noise each time it was used. The master shower was in the bathtub, which filled with water and did not drain. There was trash behind the dresser in the twin bedroom. All issues were reported to management and I was offered 10% discount on next stay, ,which is the same offer everyone receives. This was a very expensive and disappointing stay!

“Provided the Perfect place for Family together time!

Reviewer Comments: Fernleigh was exactly the perfect cottage for what our family of four needed at this time! With 4 stressful jobs, and rarely time in seeing each other we chose this home to be together for 6 days. We loved the front porch with its rocker and chairs for doing New York Times crossword puzzle together, the dining table on the porch for sharing our meals we grilled in the back and especially the sofas and large TV for “ movie nights!” We loved everyone grabbing food from the nearby food trucks and bringing it home and sharing our dinner around the large dining table over wonderful conversation! Fernleigh had every imaginable cooking pots, pans and utensils which allowed us to have “ grill nights and making a brunch one morning. We have stayed at over a dozen other homes in Seaside over the last 30 years, each always beautifully decorated in beach decor, staying at this cottage reminding us of staying in a cottage in Provence or the South of France! It was decorated exquisitely with French antiques which added to the comfort and beauty of this home! What was the most convenient for our family was being feet away from the beach, and down the street was the adult and children’s pool and fitness center. Staying at Fernleigh provided our family wonderful memories and we can’t wait to go back again!

Cluttered and outdated

The best thing about this house is the proximity to the beach, restaurants and shops. The front porch is also a pleasant spot, but the fans don’t work. The master bathroom was ridiculous. Huge claw foot tub/ shower that sat caddy corner in the middle of the room with a smallest toilet I’ve ever seen. Also a ridiculously small bathroom mirror with terrible lighting. I could only see my face and some of my hair. The living area had small comfortable loveseats but most of the chairs in that area were small metal chairs the were VERY uncomfortable. Additionally, the main living area was so cluttered with decor and uncomfortable metal chairs, it was difficult to maneuver around these areas at all. The house’s motif was BIRDS…. everywhere. The only other bathroom was upstairs and had to be shared by 4 people, so that wasn’t ideal. We tried to make the best of it but definitely disappointed. The photos in the listing were not representative of the actual space.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is ideal, but the house itself is not. The furniture is not comfortable, especially when the weather keeps you inside most of the day. The bathroom set up is not great either shower is very small, and the down stairs toilet sounds like it’s screaming. The bedrooms up stairs have no TVs and the linens are low quality. Of all the places we have stayed in this area this is by far the least comfortable.

A Perfect Quick Getaway

There are lots of trinkets in this home. If you have tiny hands in your party, be aware of breakables although easy to pick up! However, with some many trinkets and furniture, you do feel cramped with your own luggage. Upstairs shower is the only downfall of this home!

Location! Location! Location!

This house is perfectly situated across the street from the Savannah Beach Pavillion (book your chairs at the Pavillion through cabanaman.com) and the "Square." Quiet neighborhood with onsite security. House was well equipped with all the necessities that you need to cook and relax. Be careful with tiny humans, as there are a lot of home decor items that are breakable. Thouroughly enjoyed the stay and the short walk to all things Seaside! Thank you, Fernleigh!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The exterior of the cottage was classic old Florida. The interior was untouched in the last 30 years. Blinds , lamps lighting fixtures operated in consistently. The furnishings had no comfortable seating, 20 chairs and 2 loveseats. The porch and its furniture were great! Bathing was an issue. The upstairs shower was so small you couldn’t turn around. The master bath had a footed tub with circular curtain; dangerous to enter and exit. There was no guest half bath on the first floor. All appliances and kitchen faucets were newer and worked well! Lots of excellent water pressure and hot water.

Family Vacation

Cozy house in a great location with private access to the beach and a short walk to the square. Only used our car once to drive to Panama City to shop at Ron Jon’s Surf Shop. Only negative is way too small of a hot water tank for a family of 4 to shower, had to wait a while between showers for tank to fill up and the upstairs shower is very tiny Could use some updating but overall experience was great
