Shorewood 231 - Beautifully Furnished 2BR/2BA Ocean Side Unit

With a balcony accessible by the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Shorewood 231 enjoy a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the courtyard & Shorewood pool area. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean via Shorewood's beach walkway and then dip into the freshwater swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30. Dates could vary slightly.
Toddlers have a separate wading pool. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. Also nearby is the new Low Country Celebration Park. King bed in the master, 2 Twins in BR 2 plus a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Two Fully Equipped Bathrooms (with hair dryers), full size washer & dryer plus 3 Tv's including a 65" Television in the living room. Your Shorewood vacation awaits!

Perfect location for access to coligny plaza shops, restaurants, and the park. Beautiful, well kept unit and property. We traveled with our 3 kids (6,5,1), easy to bounce back and forth from beach to pool. Kids loved the foot showers. Several retirees staying on site during our stay that were clearly annoyed by kids being there, but there were several other families there as well so it wasn’t a big deal. I believe it was like this due to the time of year we traveled. There were also several older couples that were more than understanding with the kids. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Shorewood 231. The place was clean and just as described. The host was very responsive in answering any questions. We also loved the location! It was an easy walk to the beach and many restaurants and shops. We would definitely love to stay again our next time to HHI!

Great condo, clean and awesome location. Grounds are well kept and the pool and surrounding areas are very clean. Access to the ocean is great. Fantastic for families.

Lay out of resort was wonderful location was excellent.

The perfect place

The property was exactly as described, loved the ocean, pool, the location, especially the tiki bar. We rode bikes everywhere and just loved it. The condo layout is spaceous.

Great Condo

We had a great time here. The condos were oceanfront and the pool was amazing. We loved spending time on the balcony. The condo itself was as pictured and very nicely updated. Loved the floors. It is within walking distance to the Coligny shops and restaurants. We walked or rode our bikes everywhere for the week (other than an day trip to Savannah, which I highly recommend). The only thing I would say that would be an improvement would be to have key code access and directions sent to your phone or email rather than having to stop at the rental agency (off-site about a mile away) to obtain.

Very impressed, good location

From the time of booking, the communication was excellent. The unit was as described and clean. We didn't cook much, but kitchen appeared well stocked. As others mentioned, the couch was not the most comfortable, but that is a very picky critique. Beds were very comfortable! The pool was clean and well maintained, lots of chairs even during a busy July week. Short walk to beach on the private boardwalk. Loved walking and riding bikes to Coligny. Farm stand with local produce was set up across the street each day. Highly recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Shorewood 231. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. We could walk to the beach and we could also walk to cafes, shops and restaurants. However, we were not notified that the pool would be closed for maintenance. We specifically chose this rental because of the pool - we were bringing a two year old with us, and we also were looking forward to the hot tub. The workers told us that this maintenance had been planned for a long time(before we booked) and we were not given any notice either at the time of our booking OR when we checked in. Very disappointed about the lack of transparency. Either a discount OR a credit towards a fire booking would have been welcomed.

Shorewood 231 is a lovely unit and we are glad that this review reflects how wonderful it is; however, we apologize that this customer feels we failed in communication about the pool. We were told the pool that would be closed no longer than October 31st at the latest (which they were informed about) and when the project went longer than anticipated (which of course with construction, we should always anticipate) these folks were already in house without the use of the pool. Projects like these leave us all a bit frustrated and we understand their disappointment.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying here. The location is perfect. Everything was clean and nicely updated. We did find the King bed very uncomfortable, so I'd consider adding a topper or changing the mattress out. We did not use the second bedroom, but it looked nice. The beach and pool are both a short walk. We struggled to find our way the first day, but figured it out quickly. Parking under the unit was difficult with my large SUV and when we arrived the outside parking was full, so we parked once and walked everywhere once we arrived to avoid having to repark. The washer and dryer were very convenient to wash the sand/chlorine away from our clothes. The kitchen pots and pans could use a refresh, the teflon was chipped/flaking on most of them, but we only had one meal there during our stay. Overall a great experience. Our stay was peaceful, friendly people near the pool, and we really enjoyed our trip here.
