The Quack Shack

Get cozy on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. This air conditioned 2BR/1BA cabin is nestled in a quiet cove with stunning waterfront views. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the second has a twin over full bunk bed. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa. This little cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. Spend your days floating around in the walk out swimming area, or get out on the water in one of our kayaks or paddle board. With a bait shop and boat launch just minutes away, you are welcome to tie up your power boat on the new dock. And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Spend your evenings grilling a fresh caught dinner, and create even more memories sitting around the fire pit. Don't forget the s'mores! If you're looking for a more catered experience, there are several restaurants nearby. Whether you travel by car or boat, excellent local cuisine is just minutes away. Welcome to the Quack Shack. Make yourselves at home and enjoy!

Great host, very responsive and easy to communicate with. The cabin was cozy and charming with a beautiful lake view. We were in town for our son’s college fishing tournament, and the location was perfect, close to the park and exactly what we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Very peaceful and set up perfectly as dog friendly! Host was fantastic responding instantly to questions. Jon even came over to assist on something minor-10 stars! Loved the dock and gazebo along with all of the "toys" that the owners encouraged us to use. Great next door neighbor there as well. Great find!

This place is cute. Nestled in a nice little, private-enough, corner of the lake. We had a great time at the Quack Shack, would absolutely recommend it and would be very grateful to be welcomed back again. While we werent fortunate enough to see any ducks, we did meet many other little critters, like turtles, frogs, geese, and deer (and even the stray heron!) Google Maps will lead you into the neighbors driveway, dont listen to it.

Love love love this little cabin! It's small but still enough room that you aren't crowded. This was by far the most stocked place I've rented on Lake Murray the past 6 years. They really do have everything you need except your clothes. New dock was great for fishing and jumping off of and the covered sitting area was great for a lunch break from swimming and kayaking on the provided water toys. I do wish there was a ladder on the dock to climb back up because the path through the water to the shore was covered in rocks that hurt your feet to walk across so water shoes recommended. The fenced yard all the way down to the water was great for bringing your dog so they can run freely with you while you enjoy the lake. I will definitely be coming back with my family next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Quack Shack! Everything about it was fantastic. We had the best week just relaxing, fishing from the private dock, swimming , kayaking. Columbia was just a short drive away which meant a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo. Everything we needed for our stay was at the house, except food. We cooked most meals, but there is a great little bar/restaurant about mile away by boat(kayak) that we paddled.to a couple of days. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. Heck. I'd buy the place if given the chance in the future!

We had the absolute best time spending our Fourth of July weekend at the Quack Shack. The property and location were ideal. Everything needed for our stay was supplied. The host was great as well. Highly recommend!

Fantastic view of the lake enhanced by a floating dock and an enclosed gazebo.

First time we decided to rent a house at the lake versus staying at a hotel at the beach. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, wildlife and fishing but…we dreaded going into the “Quack Shack” for the night. The sofas, bed & pillows seemed extremely worn out by previous guests and were too uncomfortable to relax/sleep in. They definitely need to be replaced. However, the outdoor scenery and activities more than compensated for the furniture discomfort.

Everything you need!

I stayed here with my family and had an awesome time! We were so impressed by the amount of things that were supplied for us. There was as so much to do. The covered deck and completely fenced in yard is amazing. The location was awesome as well. We loved fishing off the dock and taking out the kayaks. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We definitely plan on coming back!

Awesome Property, Great Experience!

We stayed at this property for weekend tournament. My family had a blast while we were fishing, of course the fishing was great also! Neighborhood is great, neighbors are very friendly. Plenty of room to park 4-5 vehicles and turn around a truck and 21’ boat trailer. Boat dock is brand new with plenty of room for 2-3 boats.

Perfect getaway

Just a beautiful spot on Murray Lake! My husband enjoyed the fishing and our dogs loved wading in the water as well! The new covered deck/dock is really fabulous.

The quack shack

Great place. Had everything we needed. We were there for a fishing tournament and was out on the water during the day. Very peaceful and quiet evenings sitting on the deck overlooking the lake.

Beautiful Lakeview

The cute quack shack house was right on the lake which is a huge beautiful Lake. John was very prompt in communication and very helpful and attentive. There was so much to do on property and so much more nearby. It almost felt like we had the entire Lake to ourselves. The property provided kayaks and paddle boards and other fun games. Bonus was that the property was completely fenced out which is great for pets to have off leash. We definitely enjoyed our time and will be returning.
