Sandy beach!! beautiful walking coastline weather tide permitting.

Summer months only beach access at own risk! long staircase down to beach. Seniors may have a hard time. Use caution and enter at own risk. I love this place, I really hope you enjoy your stay. Some flaws please excuse the character of this old cottage. Hot water takes a 5 minute's so let it run till hot. FYI well water also is high in Iron that stains toilets. i wouldn't drink.

place has been a work in progress but is about almost complete! I still love it!

please leave the chicken alone.

Great Time in a Great Location

Jeremiah is as an excellent host and alway available if needed. Very nice and peaceful place, and very close to downtown Lexington for a night out. Would highly recommend!

Charming house

Charming house! Jeremiah was very responsive. Had to cut vacation short due to the storms. Loved the view of Lake Huron.

Cute “Up North” Cottage with Great Beach

Very clean and not musty smelling like some cottages. Toddler friendly! We liked how everything was fenced off and didn’t need to worry about little one rolling down the hill. Kitchen area great, the living room area just needs a light. Bathroom shower has a separate handle attachment that worked great for toddler. We used the Lilly pad and chairs down on the beach. Stairs down to the beach are stable and safe. We watched the port Huron to Mackinac race go by. Right in between two little towns. Pizza and groceries nearby. Only things would be to have better lighting in the tv den area. Maybe put a note on the sunroom windows on the sides, they were tricky and I smashed my finger on one trying to open it but didn’t ruin my stay!

All noted! I plan on replacing the side windows. Hope your finger feels better already. Agree on tv area in the lighting. I think maybe 6 inch can lights over each sofa would be what i need to brighten up the room. Overall, it has been a work in progress. It was a pleasure hosting your family! Can you believe it's a 1920 cottage?! Im sure maybe if you come back, I'll have the windows and the lights done. Appreciate the feedback and come again. Really hope you had a fantastic stay. Cute cottage but there are issues

The cottage is adorable with beautiful lake view. The furniture is clean and in good condition. However appliances were not clean and refrigerator did'nt maintain proper cold temp. Host does provide smart a TV but does not provide cable or wifi. We were told not to use fireplace or access beach. Sunporch is not furnished as shown. Numerous ladybugs, dead and alive, especially in kitchen. We had a few other issues and decided to check out early and stay elsewhere.

Hi Ken After seven years of cozy quiet cottage I've decided to get Internet! Also patio furniture is being delivered today. It's been a work in progress. I just put over 65k into the bluff and this summer their will be beach access. The refrigerator I'll get it checked out. I appreciate the review. Not risking chimney fire. So..... my apologies. New hot tub coming also. Working on finding patio windows. Yes it's been a work in progress. Price rate reflects. Please text me any other thought and Ill work on getting them done. Lake house review

The views from the back porch were definitely the draw for this cottage. From the photos you expect the porch to be all weather, but there is no glass on the majority of the windows. Communication with the host was quick and very responsive the first few days, then I was unable to contact him through the VRBO app. Not sure what the issue was with that. Overall, the cleanliness needs more attention to detail. Looks okay on the surface, but could use a deep clean. While the sound of the waves on the back porch are relaxing, the traffic noise could be heard at times and always heard in the house. We do believe that the work in progress will continue and we hope to visit again next year.
