Fantastic Location

We have stayed in Matagorda for years, but this house was special. The location is great. Gorgeous sunset views. Decorated nicely and that porch is everything. We had our teenagers with us and the sleeping situation worked well. We will be back!

Perfect Place

I have been vacationing in Matagorda for a few years. This is the 3rd place I have rented and I will not be looking for anywhere else. The other two were nice but this one is perfect. The floorplan is thoughtfully done. The way they had spare bunks was inspired. The upstairs bunk room is perfect for the kiddos or singles. The furniture is comfortable. We had a storm that blew up the starlink. The owner was quick to let me know his plan, we got it fixed about halfway through the stay, all was perfect! TBH we didn’t miss the internet at all.An added benefit is that this place is 3rd from the end of the row!! Views forever. Sunrise over the East Bay is especially epic. Due to it’s location, you are only 5 min from the beach. Fished all night and beached all day.Seriously, I cannot recommend this place enough. Like I said, it will be my go-to from now on.

Guy’s Weekend

The property was clean and had plenty of space for the guys to spread out. The pier was in good condition and the light worked. The host was very responsive for any questions we had.

Family getaway

We had a great time. Caught several different types of fish. Released them all back to grow bigger. The only problem was the tv in the living room did not work and could not get the cold water to work in downstairs shower.

After holiday getaway

This house was great! Beds are super comfy, kitchen and living area is large and roomy. Kitchen was fully equipped. The house was clean. I do agree with others, more outdoor seating would be nice. But, overall we had a great stay. We visit Gorda several times a year and will definitely stay at this house again. The location is great!

Matagorda Beach

We really enjoyed our stay. Great views watching sunsets, birds, deer, coyotes, and dolphins right off the back porch. Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utinsels for cooking meals. Beds were very comfortable. We'll be back again.

Wonderful Matagorda Bay house

This house was super close to the beach. It was really clean and beautifully decorated! The deck on top and bottom was great. Had everything you needed. Beautiful view! Would stay here again.

Great location on the River

Stayed with family early July for 5 nights. Very comfortable, everything you need is there. Lots of Pros- location, lists of place….house is fairly new and everything works. Great views and great fishing off the dock at night. I highly recommend as a place for family or guys fishing trip. Only cons are the upstairs master bath is shared, and would recommend a table/picnic table downstairs. Great place and will definitely rent again.

Awesome House on the River

We definitely enjoyed our stay at this house. It was very clean and provided everything you need to get away. The furniture and beds were all in great condition. The owners take great pride in their home. There is plenty of space in the house and outside so you never felt crowded. The few things I would suggest is some type of picnic table downstairs and one upstairs on the deck. There is no kitchen table just a kitchen island that 3 people can eat at. Other than that you're trying to find a make shift table to sit and eat. We had brought a folding table. The other was someone mentioned a small fence to keep the neighbor and their dog from just wondering over through out the day. The dog would come over and growl at us whenever we were playing corn hole or hanging outside. The neighbor does the cleaning so maybe he is just keeping a close eye on things. We really did enjoy our stay and would book again.

Great House

Definitely a great house will be returning agian. Everything that is posted on pictures and posts are accurate. Mosquito's are bad in the spring time bring off. Best way at night fall to fix that is by turning off all the lights out doors and they run off after an hour. Beautiful place plenty of room to hang out up stairs or down.

Great getaway for teachers and kids to get a little relaxing time in before the last 2 weeks of school. House was plenty spacious for 10, plenty of outside room available to spread out.

Very Nice - House was Beautiful!! Very clean!!

Pros: House was beautiful, very clean, very nice. Fully stocked with any little things you might need. Nice dishes, pots/pans, knives, binoculars. Stairs were nice and wide. Rooms were very well set up and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were soft. Dock was nice to fish on. Fishing was great. We caught 2 sharks - bonnetheads and a 39" red drum and tons of little catfish - hard heads. Cons: we could have used a fish cleaning station and would be nice to have crab traps for crabbing. Almost ran out of toliet paper - down to 1/2 a roll when we left. A very much enjoyed weekend!! Thanks so much!!
