Enjoy relaxing in your own heated spa, or play some games in an open-air lounge area! This comfortable cottage boasts all the goodness of a beach house, in a wonderful location for enjoying everything St. George Island has to offer. Enjoy the sounds and smells of the ocean from various parts of the home. Central air conditioning keeps the interior cool, and you can fire up the pellet fireplace once the sun goes down. The open kitchen features full-size appliances and a prep island that doubles as a dining table with stools. Of course, there's always the option to dine outside. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer to take care of all your swimsuits. Enjoy watching the sun goes down from your own furnished balcony. You're never far from the ocean at this sun-filled cottage.

The hot tub wasn’t working, the tub was leaking in one of the bathrooms, the fridge smelled like raw crabs, and one of the toilets ran the entire time.

Family Reunion of St George Island

The island is quaint, quiet and away from the hustle & bustle of the big tourist traps. I can’t say enough about the Piggly Wiggly! The beach was nice, but the water was murky. It was a great place to get away and relax.

Save your money, stay somewhere else

We are very disappointed with this neglected, poorly maintained home. We are also disappointed in vacasa, and their poor management, non-resolution and poor communication. We raised our concerns to them and they asked for photos, which we sent. There are broken and loose tiles in the kitchen with no caulk, loose raised boards in the floors that are a tripping hazard. We couldn't use the dining table on the deck because the metal edge was jagged, broken, and rusted. The coffee maker does not work. The downstairs lighting is inadequate, and 5 out of 50 bulbs worked. The locks on the deck door do not work properly and are a serious safety concern. Vacasa didn't call, text, or email us. Their only response was to drop off a coffee maker in a box by the door at the home. We left a day early. This is not what I paid for and I'm very disappointed!

Unfortunate experience with a mostly great home

This house was honestly pretty ideal for our family with two kids and a dog. The yard is fenced in, the set up is really convenient with rooms and bathrooms. Some updates are needed, primarily the flooring in the kitchen, but nothing that was unlivable. Our experience however was really hurt by the fact that that the AC gave out mid week. The AC was not working properly during a massive heat wave. We contacted the company on Wednesday about the issue and it didn't get fixed until Saturday (the day before our check out) after reaching out daily. The home got to 89 degrees inside. My kids couldn't sleep, our dog got sick and we were looking at leaving and just getting a hotel. We were only given a $100 refund as an apology for having no AC for most of our trip. Not great customer service, but that’s not the fault of the house.

I had fairly low expectations for this rental after reading the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised! The rental was nice, spacious, close to the beach, and the beds were super comfortable. I thought it was a very good value for the price, and the dogs loved the fenced in backyard. I would happily stay here again without hesitation. A few small quirks typical of a house that's not brand new, but overall a great experience.

Great lace to stay

The house is nice, and everything is great. There's plenty of kitchen supplies, toiletries, and beach toys for kids. The hot tub is nice, it does stay warm but the jets don't work. The TV is horrendous, you can't watch anything on it without it blue screening and shutting off. But you're at the beach you don't need a TV. The beach is really close, 1 street away and directly in line with parking spots. The entire island is infested with sand flies and they hurt bad, definitely have bug spray if you plan on staying anywhere in st george. Overall it was fantastic, you couldn't want anything more than what this place offered

A walk away from the beach…

Overall, the home was clean but could tell there were issues with flooring. But fine with being a rental. There were a number of small issues that need attention and repair. Biggest issue was promise of a hot tub. Wasn’t working when we got there and even though an electrician came by it didn’t reach the appropriate heat until the night we were leaving… 13 days later. We had been looking forward to that one aspect with our winter visit. We did enjoy the close walk to the beach and neighborhood and the fenced in area for our dog. We would consider staying there again if they can assure the hot tub being ready for occupancy.

Do NOT pick this place!

This home is due for serious repairs and updates. The home was clean, had plenty of towels and the furniture is in fine shape and nice enough. The home itself was bad, broken tiles in bathrooms and kitchen, missing flooring pieces in the kitchen, holes in a door and random holes in walls from past decorations. The windows are old and do not open. The doors are in disrepair and rusted beneath the paint. The deck and porch furniture was moldy and dirty. The blinds are all broken and do not open or close. The bonus room was filthy and the furniture was moldy and cushions are badly damaged. The Hot Tub does NOT work!(I read this and assumed it would be fixed, it does not get hot) The guest bathroom is terrible, old jetted tub, low toilet and vanity. Ceilings are dirty. The kitchen and tons of old small appliances (crockpot, Forman grill, rice maker) I would never have used. They all looked like they were from 1985, plus an old crappy Mr. Coffee that made terrible coffee! Light bulbs were missing and out, remotes didn’t work well. WiFi was decent. Refrigerator made tons of clean ice a plus!! We were only 4 people, I wouldn’t have wanted more unless just a kid or 2 NO more than that! Beds were soft but ok, pillows were old and hard. The other bathroom had a somewhat adequate shower and vanity, but the vanity mirrors were missing. Light bulbs burned out.

The only reason I booked this property was based on the map location. It was 20 blocks away from the other part of our party.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The property was very clean and the hot tub is massive! It was perfect for a long weekend getaway. We were also pleased to find a wagon in the garage that we used to take our chairs and snacks to the beach.

Rat Hole

The house has a serious rodent problem. Rats came out at night and ate food on the kitchen counter. The swim spa was not clean when we arrived with empty beer cans sitting on the ledge. There is no grill. The ice maker does not work. We had a problem with the temperature on the swim spa and reported it but no one came. My guests left after the first night after the rat incident. Not a pleasant experience.

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful and comfortable home with oversized hot tub - large enough for 4 adults and plenty of room left for several more. Located one house away from a public beach access and far enough away from the main tourist area that it was not crowded at all.

Short walk to quiet beach. However, found the main bathroom with only a sheer window covering facing the road. And a broken mirror. No response to swim spa issues and lost 3 days of use. Main TV and main bedroom TV inoperable. No instructions or help. Deck is nice and when spa working with heat it was great. Garbage in backyard.
