Private Stand Alone Studio Casita Near Oak Creek and Crescent Moon Ranch Park

This unique 400 square foot studio home was created by my husband, James (an award winning landscape designer) is surrounded by beautiful gardens, artfully crafted stucco privacy walls, flagstone walkways, a lovely private patio, a paved private driveway, and stone columns, all creating a sense of privacy and serenity.

Located in what is easily considered one of the most picturesque areas in Sedona, with many trailheads just steps outside the front door, this is a hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers paradise.

The indoor living space has a high vaulted ceiling and plenty of windows to take in the light and beauty of the outdoor garden scenery.

Included is a smart Television with Roku to connect to your own streaming accounts.
There is a 3 drawer dresser and a wall mounted clothing hanger rack.
The organic queen size bed is incredibly comfortable dressed with super soft cotton sheets and comfy pillows.

The kitchenette has a small mini refrigerator with small freezer, Breville compact smart oven, 1 burner induction stove, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, blender, dishes, utensils and cooking ware.

For longer term rentals all bedding and bathroom linens will be washed weekly on the premises. For personal laundry there is a laundromat in town.

Exactly as advertised with outta town feel for quite evenings, but close to trail heads & town amenities. Incredibly attention to detail in the living space, clean & comfortable. Excellent communications pre , during and post stay. Highly recommend this property.

My wife and I loved this Casita! It was the perfect size and perfect location for us. The hostess was incredibly helpful and friendly. We were able to spend our anniversary and a few additional days enjoying Sedona. I would highly recommend this property!

Nice Quiet Place in Sedona

We had a great stay in Sedona. The property was very clean and a cute space to stay at. It was in a beautiful area with lots of things to do within a short drive. The property owner was communicative and nice prior to and during our stay. The check-in and check-out was very simple. Highly recommend.

Simply Divine!

If I could give more stars, I would! The Garden Casita was perfectly centralized to my planned destinations, was equipped with all [my] necessities for a week-long stay, and it provided a tranquil environment (indoors and out!) The Crescent Moon Ranch (CMR) and Secret Slickrock (which overlooks CMR) are a short walk from the casita, and a short drive to the trailheads, shopping, and hot air balloon launching! Lara and James have poured their hearts into the casita - you will understand when you see it! I would recommend renting a car (vs a truck) to allow more room in the driveway for opening vehicle doors on both sides. This place is perfect for 1-2 people! Lara and James were very sweet and most hospitable! I will definitely be back!

Quiet Location, Meticulously Maintained

Very clean and meticulously maintained property. Obvious that the owners put much care into it. Lara lives on the adjacent property and greeted us when we arrived to explain the TV remote and mini blinds. Check-in was a bit more difficult than it needed to be as Lara wanted to know when we were arriving but with a fluid schedule, we had to keep sending updates and did not receive the entry code until a couple hours after check-in time; would have preferred to have the code prior to check-in time as is standard and contact Lara if we had any difficulties. Other than that hiccup, we very much enjoyed our stay and our privacy was respected. We loved the smell of honeysuckle that surrounds the house and the calls of Gambel's quail filling the air. Having breakfast and morning coffee on the patio was a great way to start the day. A small heads up on the shower - although the bathroom is plenty big, the shower is not much larger than an RV shower so might be challenging for a larger person. A thoughtful add by Lara was a Park Pass to use for Red Rocks Rec Areas and a few snack bars that we put to good use on trail breaks.

Wonderful place

We absolutely loved staying here! Everything was extremely clean and very relaxing. We were able to walk out the door one of the days for hiking which was just amazing. Location, atmosphere and host were all 10!

Beauty all around

The Garden Casita is located in a quiet canyon neighborhood with incredible views of Cathedral Rock nearby. There are also hiking trails within an easy walk. The casita is lovely and inviting, with quality touches throughout. We especially enjoyed lounging on our private patio after a long day in the sun. Lara provided lots of information and the casita is stocked with hiking guides, maps and area attractions. I highly recommend a stay here to soak up the beauty of Sedona, AZ.

Pleasant getaway.

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of this rental, absolutely beautiful neighborhood with all the beautiful views on the drive to and from the property. The house itself is very well maintained and clean inside and out. Had everything one could need. Lara was very friendly and informative. We really enjoyed our stay.

The accommodation was just perfect! Everything we needed in a lovely space. Lara was the BEST host. She got up to guide us in at midnight! And then she so graciously helped when my husband rolled his ankle on a hike! If I could, I’d give Lara a “10”

Love the Casita

Great little home centrally located to the trails yet outside the city. It has plenty of thoughtful details, hosts are really helpful. The shower is pretty tiny, which was fine for us, but worth knowing. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay.

Breathtaking View

1st, on the drive down to the place, the view is breathtaking.. I cant state that enough. 2nd, it's spacious, very nicely decorated comfortable and cozy. VERY CLEAN.. LOVE THATBPART.. Lara was a great host, very responsive and iverall nice. And lastly, the quiet.. oh so refreshing.. i live in a big city and i cant tell you how welcoming the quiet it.. absolutely would stay again, no question.

Perfect getaway

This place is a gem, tucked away near Cathedral Rock, Crescent Moon Ranch, and many lovely trails. The space was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Lara was welcoming and had a treat for us on arrival. Communication was excellent. It's clear that she has been very thoughtful and intentional about what she provides to make the stay convenient, which saved us from running to the store every day. This is a special place and we highly recommend it.

Beautiful property

Such a lovely, quiet, clean property and a great hosts. Great communication, easy in and out. Very relaxing surroundings. We had a wonderfully healing and rejuvenating trip. The setting is fantastic and it is located in a quieter part of town close to trails. The property matched the description exactly, including amenities, and exceeded expectations. Overall, super cozy. We would absolutely book this location again! Highly recommend!

Exactly what we were hoping for

We loved our stay here. The suite was super cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We also loved the location. It’s in a nice quiet rural neighborhood with walking trails just down the road, amazing views all around, and access to everything within minutes.

Perfect place

I really enjoyed this place! It was very clean with a comfortable bed and any amenities you might think of. The location was perfect too with a beautiful view driving in and out to the main road. I even woke up the first morning and outside were 2 Javelina! If I had a question, I would text the host and she got back right away. Much appreciated. Why would anyone consider staying at a hotel when you have kind people offering places like this one.....Would i stay here again?? Absolutely Thank you Lara

Cozy and Comfortable

The Casita was just what we wanted and was super comfortable in every way. We were there mostly for sleeping and getting going in the morning, so we weren't there a lot. But it was really lovely. We hope to come back when we visit Sedona again.

Perfect place to stay

Lara and James are excellent host. Their property is clean and well maintained. The house has outside seating as well for stargazing. The inside is adorable, clean and just what you need for your stay in Sedona. Lara is very knowledgeable about hiking near by, restaurants and other activities. Which was very appropriated since it was our first visit to Sedona.

My husband, James, is an award winning landscape designer both in Sedona and Gainesville, Florida. A man of many talents he is also a musician, boatsman, pilot, documentary film maker and a lover of nature and travel. I, Lara, have been a massage therapist for over 20 years. I specialize in structural and somatic bodywork and have a private practice in Sedona. My other passions are music, dance, nature, sustainable living and travel. Originally from California I have lived in Sedona since 2001.

Just outside the hustle and bustle of west Sedona and yet only a 10 minute drive into town, this property is located in a separate valley and small community called the Upper Red Rock Loop. Driving into this valley you come upon one of the most impressive views of Sedona and Cathedral Rock. It is truly one of Sedona's great skylines.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Garden Casita sits on the upper level of the property and is surrounded by hedges of lady banks roses. In the springtime there are literally hundreds of roses! This gives the casita an added feel of tranquility and privacy. We reside on the lower level of the property which gives privacy for both homes yet we are close enough to be available for our guests.
