Big Tree Cottages - Mallard | Private Fishing Pier

Welcome to Big Tree Cottages on St. Charles Bay!

Enjoy your stay in this cute, green, coastal cottage that sleeps up to seven.

You will have an adventure fishing from the 500' shared pier. At the end of the pier, there is an 800 sq. ft T-head. There is a fish cleaning station so you can prepare your catch for the evening's dinner.

The kitchen is spacious with stainless appliances, upgraded countertops, and fully equipped with a coffee maker and microwave. Everyone can hang out around the island, with seating for five while dinner is being prepared.

The entire cottage is decorated with a tranquil palette that creates the perfect setting for relaxation. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, including a twin. The bathroom features a custom-tiled walk-in shower. There is a flat panel television in the living room with wi-fi access.

These cottages are across the street from the Lamar public boat ramp making it the perfect spot for a fishing vacation. You are also only a short drive away from Goose Island State Park where you can enjoy fishing and bird watching. This is also the location of the Big Tree which was named the State Champion Coastal Live Oak in 1966 and although it no longer holds the title it is still one of the biggest Live Oak trees in Texas. You are also near the Copano Causeway wade fishing area and boat ramp. Lamar also has great places to eat like Pop's Tavern and Cafe where you can order delicious steaks, seafood, and burgers.

We have tried another properties and this cottages over exceeded our expectations, without any referrals. Can’t wait to comeback we caught some catfish the good kind and my daughter got a 40lb drum, it was amazing ?? Everything was perfection starting with emails and prompt responses.

I really enjoyed myself.

I really enjoyed myself. I felt that I was safe and carefree. It was very exciting and it met my expectations. This is a great place not only for fishing getaway but for couples, family vacation etc. My family did not want the vacation to end. Very comfortable bed!
