Port A Good Time is an amazing beach house that will fulfill any vacationer's dream. This spacious and open four-bedroom, four-bathroom condo is well-appointed with unique coastal décor and has flat-screen TVs in every room.

The living room has plenty of comfortable seating for a crowd. Gather around after a full day in Port A for a movie night! The sleeper sofa can accommodate additional guests. Cook your fresh catch of the day in the fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. Enjoy meals in the dining room, with seating for up to six guests, with additional seating at the breakfast bar. End your evenings with a cool beverage on the balcony to witness stunning Texas sunsets.

When you’re ready to turn in, you’ll find four cozy bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king-size bed. The second bedroom is a bunk room with a twin-over-full-size bunk bed and twin-size trundle. Guests in this bedroom have access to the patio. The third bedroom has a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The primary suite has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.

Great location, lots of room

Clean, updated and plenty of room. Heated pool was busy during spring break week, kids loved the slide. Walking distance to several restaurants. Townhouse community is pet friendly and felt safe.

Close to everything you need! Good condo 3 floor layout for multiple family members offered privacy. Fun pool for kids and adults. Beach a short golf cart ride away.

The dryer was not working which the company said they would come by and grab laundry. Also it wasn’t as clean as I excepted. The tub has a stain and my daughter found a liner from a swimsuit in her bathroom.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Port A. There were only a few problems with the property that we rented. There was an AC leak in three of the ceiling vents. We had to call the repairman to make repairs. Water was pouring into the bathroom ceiling vent. The repairman returned three times during our stay. But the leaking vent in the living room was not repaired during our stay. Water continued to leak down on the sofa. Two of the bed linens had not been changed. There were chips in the bed. The bath mats in one of the bathrooms was not clean. It was very dusty underneath the furniture. I do not feel that we should have to furnish the paper towels or toilet paper for what we paid in rental on property

The condo and pool was amazing! Although the rain was horrific, we had a great time. Items of note: Trash was still in the garage from previous occupants. Garage door was not secured to the track, attachment appeared damaged. WIFI email directions did not work; had to call leasing agent for a different (backup) password which worked. Would rent it again!

Overall experience was not good. It started with us trying to check in earlier and being told that we couldn't until 4pm. Only to find out there was a communication error and we actually could have checked in sooner. We get to the room where we find dirty bedsheets, hair and sand all over floor, a rosary left on the bed, childrens sticky toys stuck to the ceiling. Our second night a air vent leaked water all over us on the couch and a smoke detector with a low battery went off starting at 10pm. I personally went and spent my own money for a battery to replace the old one at 3am in the morning so the children could actually get sleep. All in all, for spending $2,000 on a (2) night stay, I would expect substantially better hospitality

We have been staying at Beachside Condos for the last 5 years and renting through Silver Sands for the last 2 to 3 years. This was the first time we have ever experienced such disappointment in a condo at Beachside. We were informed that there would be no early check in for the day and completely understand how busy these workers are on a Sunday, however, our condo was not ready until 4:30 pm and then had to leave and return because the 3rd floor bed was still not made. This was the least of our worries though. We discovered the first night after cooking dinner that the dishwasher was not working. We also had a door handle loose and then it completely came off as well as another door to the patio that was not closing correctly. We called Silvers Sands the following morning to inform them of all the issues and they did send someone out to fix them Wednesday morning but the dishwasher requires a tech to come out so we were never able to use it. Not ideal when our family likes to cook and grill at the condo. Skillets and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced due to food being burned in them. The only balcony that had patio furniture was the third-floor balcony unless you included the one broken chair on the bottom balcony that was hidden behind an AC unit. We have stayed at several different 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms at Beachside and feel that this condo's upkeep is lacking compared to others. We enjoy Beachside Condos and Silver Sands Rental Company so we do plan on coming back again next year, however, we will not be returning to Port A Good Time.

Our stay

We enjoyed the stay. I will say that the house was not stocked well; very few bath towels and no wash rags. It would have been nice to have a broom to help keep the floors clean. I requested sheets for the pull out bed but they never arrived. Someone put up a political flag at the entrance that I found offensive but didn't say anything. Didn't want to stir anything up. Maybe management could monitor things like that. We reported a plumbing issue and it was resolved quickly!!!

Lovely Spacious Home with Awesome Pool!

We found the home immaculate and very roomy for 4 adults and 3 children. Such fun around the pool with tropical landscaping. Located close to beach with road access. Only one hand towel in kitchen so could have used more. We noticed the 3 balconies needed to have the sand swept off of them. Just an oversight I'm sure. Not deal breakers but just good to know. Layout of the home was perfect with bedroom with king and bedroom with bunks downstairs with 2 full baths. Main floor Master with ensuite bath. Top floor Master with bath. Very nice decor!! This unit allowed you to use the garage so if you have a golf cart is perfect!

Good experience overall. Wish management would have have left 1 starter soaps for dishwasher and washing machines. Parking was tight. A/C worked great!

Awesome view

We have stayed here twice, first they had holes in ceiling dealing with plumbing issues and this time we had issues with the 3rd story plumbing they came fast to fix and we're there less the 10 minutes said issues were fixed however they were not.. last day there the coldest day the pool wasn't heated which is what we needed. Other than that this place is phenomenal!

Great family house

House in really great shape, exactly as expected from the online pics. Close to the beach and community pool was nicely heated.

Best condo we've ever stayed at

My family has been coming to Port a for 40 years and we have stayed in all sorts of accommodations but Port A Good Time was the nicest place we've ever stayed. I hope you don't go up on the prices so we can afford to continue to stay there. Excellent place to stay for a large family!!

Great location, but with some issues

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver sands review We enjoyed our stay in Port A and the property is a newer build with great features and nice property amenities (like the pool!). However, the property management is not responsive and the unit had some annoying issues. The dedicated app is a nice touch, but we had some annoyances that I would expect to be quickly resolved given the rate we paid at. 1) automatic kitchen trash can didn’t function. We cooked in the house 3 meals a day and having to open the lid with your hand. During the pandemic. Not a great experience. Also, 1 trash bag and that’s it? We had to inconveniently go to the convenient store to get more bags. I put 2 requests in the app to fix the issue and got no responses. Don’t have an app if you won’t respond. 2) calling into property management office was a bad experience. 15 minute wait and no answer or answering machine. Again, at this daily rate, things should work smoothly. 3) 1 soap per bathroom - is the expectation to move the soap daily from bathroom to shower stall and back? Provide some $1 spares for future guests please. I went and bought my own. Same with paper towels, only 1 roll provided Lastly, my wife and I both tested positive for covid this week. I certainly won’t fault the property for that as we don’t know where or how we contracted it. I will say I hope the cleaning standards are truly up to CDC standards as we were told. I will also say almost NO ONE wore face masks in the town which is highly disappointing and a caution to anyone planning a trip. Be safe.

Port of a Great Time!

May’s Beach trip for Kevin & Izzy

Property manager company never answered phones. Re book due to virus situation so original dates included golf cart. They wouldn’t honor that part big deal to them. FYI golf carts run 100 per day yikes! Condo was great Port of a good time no major complaints! Could use new set of pans & coffee cups & if you can add gas grill to patio that would be awesome Can walk down stairs across parking lot to grills at pool if you want not very convenient to condo Pool was a hit w kids nice
