The main social hub of the home is located on the second level. An open floor plan invites you to relax and gather while watching your favorite shows on the flat-screen HDTV. The large and fully equipped kitchen overlooks the spacious living and dining rooms, making shared meals effortless. Step onto the private balcony to enjoy the cool Gulf breezes off the Texas Coast.

The sleeping accommodations are conveniently spread across the three levels. The first level offers two guest bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a flat-screen TV, which share a full-size bathroom. The second level features two bedrooms, both with king-size beds and flat-screen TVs, with the designated primary suite offering a private en suite bathroom. On the third floor, guests will find a loft-style area offering a second living space with a TV, two sleeper sofas, and two twin-over-full-size bunk beds, perfect for children or flexible overflow sleeping.

Awesome House

GREAT location HUGE house. COMPLETELY pleased. We had a blast. This place is very nice, well laid out for groups or a large family, and convenient to everything. It actually IS a less than 5 minute walk to the beach.

Great location

The location of the house is very nice with easy beach access. The beds are very comfortable. The house is as shown in the photos. All in all is a good unit. Negatives - the refrigerator must get turned off between guest arrivals as it was not cold when we arrived and the note posted on the fridge reads it takes a few hours for it to get cold. Not acceptable as we had a baby with milk and a lot of food. Washer is difficult to use and no instructions. Dryer does not work well and takes two or three cycles to dry. There was a hole in the wall that needs to be repaired.
Note in fridge that they need to warn you about before you arrive. We got no warning.
Wall needs repair.

Extremely Disappointing

We will never use Silver Sands again. House smelled like mold, we found a ton of mold by the ac, internet did not work, there were roaches crawling around, blood stains on comforters, etc. etc. We asked to speak to manager and nobody ever called!

Unacceptable

Hi Katie I appreciate your professionalism and sensitivity as to what we experienced At Silver Sands managed Blew Bayou over the weekend. We are Repeat Silver Sands customers and wanted you to know this was the worst. Unacceptable! Celebration for my wife's birthday over the weekend; 95 degrees in the house upon arrival, time spent coordinating repair while my family is frustrated and ready to go home, Totally Unacceptable!! after repair we pushed through and woke to 87 degrees in the house, discovered cleanliness issues causing undue concern with bedding and questions of whether we should stay or not but options were minimal at that point, washed some of the bedding and the dryer is broken, called and left messages with the answering service with no follow up, they never came to fix the dryer, grabbed a coffee cup from the cabinet which was filthy, unacceptable for what we paid, we were going to run the dishwasher and realized part of the dishwasher was missing and found it under the sink. Unacceptable for what we paid. The property owner needs to know what guests are experiencing. I expect a FULL refund with some indication of how these issues will be addressed. Pictures to follow

Awesome house!

My family and I rented Blew By You for a surprise 60th birthday celebration for my Mom and it was the perfect house for us! We had four couples, two with kids and two without, which meant we all had a private room with a king bed and the kids were upstairs in the loft — plenty of space and privacy for all of us! The house is well-appointed with cute decor and everything was super clean which is very important to us. We had a few minor issues but nothing worth calling in to the office over — the bottom dishwasher rack has no wheels so you have to lift it up and pull it out, the coffee maker stays turned on when plugged in, the dryer does not work well and continuously runs (we actually cleaned out the dryer vent which helped a little but it still takes a while and also never turns off), and the kitchen inventory could use a little refresh (but we understand it's the end of a busy summer season so we worked around it and were fine). I would recommend bringing a few extra kitchen towels since you only get 1 with the linen package, and don't forget to go shopping at HEB in Corpus Christi before you cross over onto the island as the local grocery store is pricey. Overall, of all the beach houses we've rented over the years, this is definitely one of the best. Thanks to the Silversands team, they were all super friendly and helpful — we'll definitely be back!

Dishwasher did not work Dryer did no work Mini fridge did not work Microwave did not work. I called to let y'all know. Nothing for fixed while we were there as far as I know bc when i called to check no on called me back.

House would have been good if maintenance was kept up

The house was big enough to accommodate our group. However, when we arrived the first thing we noticed was the kitchen sink faucet about to fall off, then the house had not been cleaned good, popcorn everywhere and left over pieces of food. Then the internet was not working, we had to use neighbors. The shower door in master bath fell off when my husband went to slide it shut. Let's not forget the dryer that did NOT shut off and my daughter in law woke up in time to hear it still running so when she went down the door was so hot she could not open it with her hand and the clothes were burning hot. Oh and the dishwasher bottom tray was broke and it did not clean the dishes at all. The picture in the stair case that was taped on fell and revealed the hole in the wall. Roaches and knats were horrible. And last but not least the golf car that squealed as you go, everyone knew we were coming....ugh as many times as I have booked through VRBO this is the worst experience we had. It the 6 days we were there, nothing was taken care of

We have stayed in Blew by you for 3 years. There are several things that need to be fixed. The dishwasher bottom rack is broken and has been for past 3 years. The dishwasher doesn't work well also. The coffee pot has to be unplugged because it stays on all the time(fire hazard) The light above stove on the microwave doesn't cut off. We bought a new bulb but had to unscrew the bulb at night. The master shower door does not work correctly. Couldn't close all the way to shower. Otherwise we love the place and location. Hopefully these will be fixed before we come here next year

Blew by you

No problems with Silver Sands it was more issues with the home and how clean it was. All the dishes had to be washed before use because there was food on them. Dog hair all over the house. Dead roaches in shower and on one of the stair cases. We found a used condom under one of the beds. There was a strong smell of mold/mildew when you entered the home. Just felt super unclean for such a big cleaning fee. Dishwasher was broken but Silver sands quickly took care of that. Check in/out was super easy. Will use silver sands again just not this home.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect for our group. The kids enjoyed the loft area with the bunks. Having the golf cart come with the house was a great bonus. The golf cart broke down on us the first night, but top-notch service...someone came to us within literally two minutes, switched out our golf cart and we were good for the rest of the weekend. Will definitely use Silver Sands to book another stay sometime!

The house is beautiful very well laid out the only thing was the golf cart had real low air on the back tires making it unstable they brought another cart but it didn't run real well I think we got the bottom of the barrel cart since it was included in the house friends rented a cart separately and it was really nice

Great Friends and Family get away!

Great home! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen space great! Kids loved the loft area. Only complaint was Keurig did not work. Shortage of bath linens.

Dog hair everywhere in Master Bedroom. Mold on shower curtains. Cockroaches EVERYWHERE, Shower head sprayed from pipe threads, everywhere, Keurig leaked everywhere. Hose out front had huge hole in it. Dishwasher not anchored. 3rd floor TV didn't work. Frog in bottom bedroom came to visit in the night thru hole in wall. We came to Port Aransas to bury my Mother and it was a big disappointment. Best thing was the city was getting ready for Sandfest, so the beaches were wonderful and Captain Kim, who had the perfect boat for an "at sea" burial.

Summer Stay

Overall our family enjoyed our stay. The only major issues were the ceiling fans in the two lower level bedrooms. The fans are loose and made loud noise through out the evening. The lower level is warmer than the upper levels as to why the fans needed to remain on through the night. The other issue was the toilet paper holder on the lower level restroom is broken. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and hopefully we will be back one day. Thank you!

mothers day trip

nice property, seems many items from kitchen are missing to cook. Could have a better detailed list of items you MUST have to satisfy the rental agreement. We did enjoy the weekend. Wish you could work out a check in of noon. had no way to drop off our luggage to enjoy the beach why we waited for maid service. I know that would make you stand out from other rentals.

Came down for the weekend to hit the beach. Weather didn’t cooperate so we ended up spending most of the time in the house. The house was very clean and the layout was awesome. A small bug problem but nothing that required me to call for an exterminator. Quick info on the golf cart offered, it is down through a rental company so you have to drive to their office and provide proof of insurance to get the keys. Cart worked fine but it was a little cold for us to be driving around Port A in it. The only issue I had with our stay was the management company asking for things I had already sent them multiple times. I was asked and sent a copy of my DL three times. Then I received a notification they did not get it. I was then asked for my car insurance for the golf cart. It was scanned and sent via email but the cart company said they never received it. I am sure these are easy fixes and I would still recommend the property and company to friends and family. Overall I was very pleased!

Turkey Day Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wow! This rental was amazing! Great layout. Amazing location. Calm neighborhood. It is great for a large family or group of friends. Very kid friendly. Love the garage to store our beach gear and had great parking. We will be back!
