Located in the quiet "Old Yaupon" area of Oak Island, this home is not only the oasis you've been searching for, it is also located very conveniently close to the old bridge going over to historic Southport, as well as close to lots of shops and dining on the island.

Our family (6 adults, 4 kids) thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Oak Island. Beautiful home, fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities to make a memorable visit.

The house was clean. Beds were comfy. Pool was great. There’s no lighting around or in the pool which eliminated the option of swimming after dark. We didn’t try the hot tub. Bring your bug spray! I’ve never experienced mosquitoes and “no seeums” in numbers like these. Day or night, they would bite. Overall, a great property and I highly recommend it!

Family vacation.

We have nothing but good things to say about this home. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We loved the outdoor swing on the deck. Of course, having the option of the pool area was nice. We loved the location. We hope to be able to stay again some time in the future.

Another successful spring break!

This is the second time our friend group stayed at this house for Adult Spring Break! And it was a dream as usual. The views continue to be next-level, the private entrance to the beach is so convenient and we all had plenty of space to spread out. It's our favorite house in all our years of this trip, and we hope to come back for the THIRD time in the future!

Great Place

Serendipity worked out really well for us. The place was centrally located and easy to get to.It had a really comfortable home like feel that made it easy to just hang out both in the house, on the porches and outdoors.Well furnished and kitchen had pretty much everything in terms of being able to prepare meals.Neighborhood was quiet which was really nice.We had once maintenance issue which was fixed within an hour of when we requested help. We all agreed that we would likely stay there again.

Perfect beach stay

The views and house location was unparalleled - WOW! We spent so much time on the lower deck and the dune deck! There was plenty of space for our group to spread out, and loved that there was plenty of parking too. We would absolutely stay here again!

Family Vacation

This home was perfect for our family! We had 8 adults and 2 children. The layout and location were perfect!! We loved the private pool and we were pleasantly surprised with the hot tub! With 2 children it was so convenient to just walk right out of the house and be at the beach in a few short steps. We do feel that the walkways need some attention. Loose boards and screws. Some of the handrails were falling off. We just walked carefully and we were fine. We would definitely stay here again! I'm wishing we could go every year!!

Fabulous Vacation Home

My wife, pooch, and friends had an amazing time at Serendipity. Check in was simple - House was clean - Beds were really comfy - We didn't mind putting the sheets on the beds as we knew they were clean. Location was perfect. Quiet end of road. Access to the beach as easy as can be. Walk the road or the beach to have a drink and some food? Couldn't be better. Oak Island was very dog friendly. A Short ride to Southport and even shorter ride to everything Oak Island has to offer. We will no doubt be back to Serendipity in 2026.

Loved this place and hope to go back.

This is a beautiful property on the Atlantic with upper and lower porches with panoramic views of sea. Sunsets were spectacular. Home had fully stocked kitchen and everything was clean and homey. Oak Island is a great town and closeby Southport was a great day trip with nice restaurants.

January getaway!

We had a super stay at this Oceanside house. Very spacious with lots of bedrooms, fantastic ocean views and we even had some unseasonably warm weather and were able to sit outside on the two decks on many occasions! Great location. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful swimming pool!

Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed our time staying on Oak Island. The property was clean, spacious and well maintained. Any questions we had the management was quick to reply, including after check out when a family member had forgotten a possession. We enjoyed excellent views and access to the beach, as well as a short distance into town center. I wish we had more sunshine, but that's winter in the south!

Ocean Front!

This property was great! Access to the beach couldn’t be better and that area of the beach was nice and wide. Views from the house were spectacular and the house was lovely. Lots of stairs so not for someone who has trouble with stairs or worried about children on stairs, but the trade off of the ocean views was worth it! We enjoyed the porches (yes, both of them) tremendously!

Oak island serendipity

Had the essentials. Loved the easy access to the beach and the pool area was delightful! Did not like having to make our own beds and provide all household products - toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, shower supplies, beach towels ect. But was made well aware to bring these things. The area is lovely and charming.

Absolutely Perfect!

This home was so cozy and helped me recharge my batteries. Every amenity I needed was there and two grocery stores were local. It was close to Southport and the quaint shops. I have rented it in September and hope to go back in April! I left the sliding glass door open and went to sleep with the waves in the background! It was heavenly!

Great location - OK trip

House is located in a great area, but the house was not clean. One toilet had the clean band on the seat with toilet paper and urine in it. The house felt like it was just wiped down not cleaned. Many decking and walkway boards need to be repaired or replaced causing tripping hazard for grandparents and kids. The pool heater was broken, and we were informed 2 days before the trip, and this was the #1 reason we booked the house, very poor communication.
