Ten of us in three generations (age 4 to 70) shared this cabin for a week. Everybody’s favorite activity was hanging out at Twain Harte Lake. Some of us went to Yosemite for the day and one day two of us hiked the 4.4 mile trail around Pinecrest Lake. I appreciated that the owner was very responsive to my questions.

We would absolutely stay here again. The house has a great layout, with the bedrooms being tucked away from noise, which was great for our family with young kids who go to sleep early and take naps. Sometimes when you do a VRBO, there is very limited dishwasher tabs, paper towels, toilet paper etc. That was not the case here- plenty of everything you need. Only downfall is the later check in (4pm) and earlier checkout (10am) than most places. The host was kind to let us check in early at 2pm, however.

Serene property

A wonderful, peaceful place to stay in the trees. The game room (e.g., pool table felt had a couple holes, dart board missing a number, no chalk for dart board scoreboard, etc) and other aspects could use some refreshing/updating, but the house overall worked out great for my family. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're going to be in the area.

Great place for four families!

Perfect for families traveling together! Our kids (all under 7) had a blast — the space was great with children in mind. It was well-equipped, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed to keep everyone happy and entertained.

Beautiful and Comfortable house

We absolutely loved this place. There was entertainment for everyone, both young and old. Close to Dodge Ridge and snow parks. And you’re very close to downtown. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make meals. The host were fantastic. Looking forward to returning. 5 Stars

Wonderful Place for Big Family

Our group was 11 people, 5 to 65. We all had lots to do and more than enough space. Twain Harte is such a sweet area, and the scenery is peaceful and quiet. Great trip and a great place.

Relax time

We had a great time. The house was clean and had enough space for everyone to enjoy our time there. The neighborhood was quiet. The game area for our teenagers was great. We had access to the private lake, but the only problem was that you could not bring any kind of coolers, food, or beverages inside the lake. In general, we enjoy our time, and we love to come back

Beautiful House in Wonderful Town

We loved our stay at Twain Harte, the house was exactly as described (though I swear is bigger than the sq ft in the listing). There was plenty of room for our family get together. The back yard was lovely, we didn't grill, but should have. The hot tub was great. As others have said, we loved the ability to shut off the door to the bed rooms. We had 3 toddlers, and I loved that we could safely contain them in the living room/dining room/kitchen/game room. It was enough space and was very surprisingly child proof. The game room went down a storm with our teenage contingent. Overall we love this place. The town was very walkable from the house, so we barely had to drive, and the kids park at the town was also great. We would love to come back next summer when the lake is operational as we visited before it opened. Thanks again for hosting us, we had a magical time and would definitely recommend this!

Amazing stay!

Perfect Family Rental!

We are a large group of cousins that have a difficult time finding a large enough house to sleep all of us. Not only was the rental very spacious, but it actually had enough beds for all ten of us. The rental was very clean and offered lots of entertainment (games, puzzles, hot tub, lake and snow equipment). We really enjoyed everything about this place , and to top it off it’s in a great location. Will definitely be back.

Amazing house and hosts

Group of family and friends stayed here for couple of nights. The house was perfect, really enjoyed our stay. Kids had a lot of fun in the game room. It was nostalgic for adults to play the retro games like super mario. Really comfortable beds. Perfect option for big group, lot of spaces to chill and relax.

Family Summer Trip

We loved the game room. And the overall layout of the house was great for napping babies and grandparents sleeping upstairs. Having a hot tub was a fun end to every day. Having television, games, and books was great. We cooked most all nights, appreciate your setup for kitchen. So glad you had a second refrigerator in the garage. Downstairs air conditioning was really great for the napping toddlers and baby. The proximity to town was great, and going to Twain Harte Lake every day was a highlight. Kids loved Twain Harte and want to come back every summer.

Enjoyed our stay!

What a great place to celebrate Father’s Day. Spacious home with great amenities and close to the Lake and stores. A well thought out floor plan with lots of space inside and out. Great vacation!

We enjoyed a great vacation at this great house. There was something for everyone… arcade games for the kids, pool table for the adults, and hot tub for everyone. We wished we had better weather, but we still enjoyed the lake, walked to town, and played at the playground. The hosts were great at communicating and the house was well furnished.

Even better than expected!

Home was perfect for my family group that included 2 couples, 3 singles, a 10 yr old and 2 toddlers. Rooms were laid out in a way that gave everyone some privacy and quiet. Loved the way the hall to the bedrooms could be closed in order not to disturb those still sleeping when I got up early to make coffee or the adults were up later in the game room. Baby had his nook for the porta-crib off the back bedroom that was perfect for putting him down and not worrying about making too much noise. I could go on and on about how perfect this house was. Kitchen had everything. Hot tub was great. Overall it was a great place to stay with a lot of character and every single thing we needed and more. Hope to come again in the spring or summer because the back patio, although covered with snow while we were there, looked like it would be amazing to enjoy in warmer weather.
