Stolk’s Lodge - Here's a perfect choice for a family vacation in the country, located only 11.6 miles to Cooperstown Dreams Park, a 20 minute beautiful drive to the park. Experience the quiet and beauty of Central New York in this lodge that was hand-crafted of native timber. Nestled in a wooded setting, the lodge has a private 5-acre pond and breathtaking views.
This 4500 square foot vacation home has a spacious living room with cathedral ceilings and lots of natural light. The living room showcases the owner’s private collection of wild game trophies, taken from all over North America, the owner is an avid outdoorsman. Stolk's lodge also has a large great room, complete with comfortable seating, a dining area and a foosball table for family fun. Sliding glass doors lead to a patio with a view of the 5-acre pond. Breathe in the fresh country air as you enjoy outside dining on the patio. A gas grill is provided for outdoor cooking.
There is a 1st floor bedroom and a bathroom just across the hallway. The remaining 4 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, the bedrooms all have a relaxing view of the countryside and are ample in size. There is an additional seating area on the 2nd floor, great for a quite reading area.
The 5 acre private pond is abundant with largemouth bass, ready for you to catch and release! You are welcome to bring your own rooftop boat for playing or fishing around the pond. If not there is a kayak/canoe/SUP rental shop in Portlandville that will deliver. Sorry, NO motorboats allowed. The pond is just across the road and a lightly wooded area on the other side. There is a large open yard around the house for outdoor play.
After a long day at the baseball park, escape all the busyness and enjoy the quite country side scenery at Stolk's Lodge. Watch the whitetail deer or wild turkeys on the hillside or the pair of Canada Geese that are raising their young on the pond. Quite but still convenient to the Village of Milford and Cooperstown and the Cooperstown Dreams Park.
