Good weekend retreat

A very clean and spacious house with a 2 minute drive to lake michigan. Quiet area tucked away on a hill, this is a great place to stay for a week vacation or even just a weekend! The property manager is great with communication and providing information.

Very quiet and lots of room for the family. Host was outstanding since we needed to communicate with her while we were there. If you plan on fishing Lake Michigan book your trip at the south shore marina which is 10 minutes from this VBRO

We were all competing in a major regatta at White Lake YC. Location was perfect, only a 3 minute drive to the yacht club. Private road, very quiet and private property

Hot tub was a mess

The hot tub was filthy and the host I was messaging was unprofessional and not helpful at all. Finally sent someone to drain it and refill it so we were not able to use it until our last night. VERY FRSTRATING!

Great for Family....Great Space

This property worked great for our family of 6.....with room to spare. A beautiful location and great place to gather with our married children and grandchild. Lots of games including Foosball and billiards. Awesome deck from which you can hear the waves from Lake Michigan. Unfortunately we weren't able to use the hot tub do to maintenance issues. It was a disappointment for our family but we still enjoyed our stay. The issue has since been resolved. Close proximity to Michigan's Adventure, beaches, breweries, wineries, golf etc. More things to do than we had time. Love the Whitehall/Montague area!

Lovely property and very nice owner, however, there are some problems. First, the grill exploded into a grease fire when we tried to use it from a build up of grease in the pan. There was no fire extinguisher. We contacted the owner who was rightly concerned and called her maintenance company right away. They apparently came the next day while we were out and told her the grill was fine and did not bring the fire extinguisher we had requested. We had also told her that there were ants in all the cabinets and countertops and they failed to spray as she had requested. She ordered a new grill, but it couldn't be delivered until the day we were leaving so we were without its use the whole time. One bedroom didn't have any window coverings so the early morning sun was an alarm clock for the kids. That bedroom was also missing a smoke alarm which the maintenance company failed to rectify despite being asked. Like I said, this is a lovely property and very nice owner, but unless they get a new maintenance company I wouldn't rent it again. This would be a 4 star property otherwise. I'm trying to be fair to the owner who doesn't live nearby, but she is being let down by her management company.
