Be aware…

If you are looking for a clean place to stay at, this place is for you. I was very clean. That's about all of the positive things that I can say about this noisy rental with unsympathetic and dishonest owners. The first night, I was able to drown out the loud street noise with a sound machine app on my phone, but that wasn't effective against the noise of the faulty smoke detectors that went off at 1am. After several calls and a VRBO message to the owners, the owner came over and was very apologetic and assured us that these smoke detectors were the top of the line and highly rated by the local fire department at inspection. After being out with family for the day, we arrived back home to the smoke detectors going off again and this time, they wouldn't turn off. After a few calls and another message via VRBO, we were able to reach the owner and she was there quickly as was the fire department. Upon inspection by the local fire department, the fire chief was angry because the smoke detectors that were in the unit were not the ones that he approved upon initial inspection for the rental and said that the smoke detectors (that the owner told us were top of the line) were not approved and had to have been switched after the initial opening inspection. Needless to say, we did not sleep well that night knowing that the smoke detectors were bad and the owners were dishonest with their work. Then comes the third night....We were awoken at midnight to very loud rave type party music

GOD'S BLESSINGS

We had a problem with the stove when we got there which was rather late. I was afraid to call my host because it was late. He responded in a timely manner and we were very appreciative. Just a few suggestions for the future, I'm a light sleeper so I need a television in the background also need a dustpan and a mop. Great place would love to visit again

Large, relaxing house

A friend and I stayed here for a quick weekend race and the house is very well-appointed and clean. It was much larger than the pictures appeared. The beds and sofas were very comfortable - I would recommend.

Welcoming and warm

We had a great experience in Holden. We were in the area for a hockey event in Marlborough. The house was excellent and everything was as advertised. We were able to visit Boston. The location is excellent. Thank you so much!

Very Well-appointed

Enjoyed the nicely updated and well furnished duplex. Everything our family of four needed was provided. Will definitely book again if in the area. As it snowed during our visit the host even had the driveway plowed and ice melt and a shovel for our convenience.

Wonderful Stay

Hosts were gracious and responsive. House was updated, immaculate and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. So happy we found this gem! Would highly recommend.
