Beautiful home

This house was great for our two family’s with 6 adults 2 teens and a 10 year old. It was clean, spacious, and the set up was great for us. Would definitely stay again!

Oasis with views

Very happy with our stay at Villa Mystique. Home was well stocked with the essentials and Yami was kind and helpful. Open and airy layout with great spaces for groups. Outdoor seating was abundant and pool was a must-have. Views were extraordinary. Would stay here again.

Relaxation

If you want a place to go to relax and be away from all the hubbub this place is perfect. The pictures do not do it justice one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever stayed

Felt like we were at a resort

Very great place. Enjoyed the deck overseeing the trees and mountains for yoga and relaxing. It was great having Yami there each day to answer any questions, help with laundry, breakfast and overall keeping the house clean. Last 200 yards of road getting to house is steep but after a couple of days didn’t seem that bad.

A wonderful, peaceful stay!

We had a wonderful stay for a week at Villa Mystique! It was amazing waking up in the beautiful surroundings and the kids loved the pool! Yami and Wilder were very discreet and lovely! The traditional breakfast she made for us one morning was delicious! Claire was also a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. The house had all the amenities and things we needed for a stress free and relaxing stay! Would highly recommend!

Unique feeling of tranquility!

It was a great place for a family. A big thank you for the services offert at the home. All the stuff needed to pass a good day at the beach was there! The view was spectacular and the sunset too! We will be back for sure!

3 weeks in paradise

This was truly a fantastic vacation. The views were amazing, and howler monkey were around almost everyday. The property was very spacious and wide open so that all guest could spread out and enjoy their own space. Yani and Wilder did a great job of taking care of the property, and Claire was very prompt at answering any questions we had. One important note, a 4x4 vehicle is definitely needed to access this property

Wow!

This property is stunning. The layout and floor plan really celebrates the outdoor space - and this is where this vacation home knocks it out of the ballpark. Monkeys, expansive views, the pool, wonderful sounds of nature. The interior is great as well with a spacious kitchen and three bedrooms that all can qualify as master bedrooms. The icing on the cake are the two caretakers and the property manager who took wonderful care of us during our stay.

Couldn't have been better

I really can't put into words how wonderful this property is. It is indeed quite a drive off the beaten path (in a 4x4) vehicle, but it's worth it! The home is pristine and massive. Our family of 6 fit in with extra room. The pool is amazing and the views are wonderful. The daily help couldn't be kinder and more respectful. We hope to go back again.

Gorgeous Home!

My family and I loved everything about this home. It was clean and beautiful with very comfortable beds and a simply gorgeous pool with amazing views. Claire and staff was there to greet us when we arrived and was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat locally. The driveway is on a VERY steep hill and only experienced drivers can/should navigate this. Other than that, the house is centrally located to most activities and I highly recommend this house.

Great stay at Villa Mystique

We spent 3 nights at the villa. Two families with teens. The Villa is amazing in terms of amenities and views. The outdoor living space feels like something you would expect at a resort with the thatched roof. Plenty of space and can’t think of anything we needed that they didn’t have in terms of cooking supplies (pans, cutlery, bowls, etc) Not much in terms of wildlife except for birds but sounds and sights were wonderful. 4X4 definitely a must and get food/supplies before arriving as town is close but still 30 min round trip. Would highly recommend

Absolutely Stunning

Would give it 6 stars if I could. The property is stunning and offers every comfort we could have desired. The pool, outdoor seating, kitchen, bedrooms… all of them met or exceeded our expectations in every way. Nammy and Wilder are available but very discreet and able to help with any household need. It is out of the way (20min from Tamarindo) and does require a true 4WD vehicle for the final 400meters. If you desire privacy, peace and quiet, and easy access to beaches if wanted, Villa Kanda is the place. This is a slice of heaven and we are already planning our return!

Fantastic property!

The property itself is immaculate. It was much more than we expected. Yami was lovely and discreet. The only frustrating bit was the location and travelling in and out of town to get to the property as it was a little far from any amenities and required 4x4 for the very steep mountain side. If you plan to stay at the villa most of the time, this is the perfect spot for you. It is very challenging to get an uber or taxi willing to come out to the property either because it’s too far or they don’t have 4x4. So be prepared to drive everywhere yourself or spend a good chunk of money to hire a personal driver with 4x4. Beyond the transportation, this property is so so worth it! Had a great time!

Heaven on earth

There are truly no words to describe our stay at the villa. It was honestly so surreal - it really felt like heaven on earth. Caroline was nothing short of welcoming, friendly, and supportive; the maid and gardener were nothing short of helpful and professional; and the house was nothing short of perfect. It was all 100% better than we anticipated and trust me when I say that we were already anticipating it to be perfect. Words can not describe how unimaginably unreal (in the best way possible, like a dream come true) our stay and trip was. It was honestly the best birthday getaway ever! Thank you so much to the owner for allowing us the pleasure of calling your beautiful home our own for 5 days, thank you to Caroline for your amazing friendliness and assistance throughout this entire process, and thank you to the maid and gardener for making sure we were able to truly get the most out of our stay. P.S. we left a unicorn float for the owner and future guests to enjoy as a way to symbolize how magical our stay was!! Pura vida!

Amazing Rentals - Highly Recommend!

This house is really amazing. Beautiful pool, monkeys climbing in the trees, great views. Yami comes each morning and straightens up and makes the beds. We were a group of 4 adults and 7 kids and there was plenty of space and we had an amazing time. While the house is really awesome, just a few things to know - 1. You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the house. 2. The bathrooms/showers are in the bedrooms and the bathrooms are partially open to the room, so when kids were showering in the master bedrooms, we couldnt also be in the rooms. 3. The house has a lot of outdoor living space. The kitchen is indoors but opens to the outdoors (again, really beautiful), but it can get hot in the kitchen since it doesnt have air conditioning. 4. We brought in a yoga instructor and also masseuses and it was a lot of fun. 5. You can find the monkeys in the trees early morning over the overlook. Again, a really great house - would definitely stay again!

Sensational home

This house is stunning, situated on a hill overlooking a beautiful vista of rolling hills and the Pacific Ocean on the horizon. Although quiet and tranquil, the house Is within a 20 min drive of some incredible beaches and the bustling resort town of Tamarindo. The pictures on this website as well on its own website are pretty great but it's hard to describe just how beautiful and first-class place is. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and finishes and frnishings throughout the house are tasteful. In particular, the pool and pool area, and especially the outdoor living room, were wonderful. We spent most of our time at the house in the outdoor room: eating meals, reading, swimming. Just amazing. One of the nicest aspects of the rental is that the owner has arranged for great staffing. Jamileth, the housekeeper, was there every day and kept the place spotlessly clean and also washed all of our laundry. Wilder kept the grounds in wonderful shape. The communications with Caroline, the manager, were excellent. She made a great referral for surfing lessons. All in all, we have rented a number of houses over the years and this place is our favorite. Salud.

Wat een fantastisch huis!

Het huis is in het echt nog zoveel mooier en fijner als op de foto's. Wat een liefde en aandacht is er in alle details gaan zitten. Een heerlijke plek, met een fenomenaal uitzicht. ' s Ochtends bij het ontbijt aan de prachtige tafel slingert er een familie apen door de bomen. Yami en Wilder zorgen elke dag voor een heerlijk schoon huis en ze zijn tegelijkertijd super in het geven van de ruimte en het bieden van privacy. Het is echt een zenhuis, met een platform waar je geweldig op kunt mediteren en een groot terras voor yoga. Op de vogels en apen na hoor je helemaal niets. Het huis is 20 minuutjes van het gezellige Tamarindo, met een prachtig strand en veel restaurantjes. Op een paar kilometer zit een supermarkt. Kortom; we hebben zelden zo'n geweldig huis meegemaakt. Dit huis kun je met een heel gerust hart boeken.

Séjour et vue paradisiaque!!!!!

Nous avons séjourné en février 2023. La Villa est magnifique, la décoration, le confort et spécialement la vue incroyable!!! Claire l'administratrice est très gentille et efficace, elle nous a accueillie à notre arrivée pour nous expliquer tous le fonctionnement de la maison. Nous avons contemplés de superbes couchés de soleil, tous les soirs. Nous avons également vus plusieurs colibris, et les singes qui viennent dormir dans les arbres. Si vous vous levez tôt le matin, vous pouvez les apercevoir dormir et leur départ se fait vers les 7h le matin. La piscine est toujours propres ainsi que tout l'extérieur grâce à Wilder le jardinier. Tellement gentil et indispensable car vous avez le ménage quotidien extérieur ainsi que le ménage intérieur qui est fait par la conjointe du jardinier: Yami. Nous les avons souvent invité à prendre le petit déjeuner avec nous. Ils sont tellement gentils et discrets, c'est vraiment un gros PLUS, car avec les vents l'espace extérieur ainsi que l'espace intérieur ouverte, la villa se remplis de poussière rapidement. La villa est située dans la montagne donc il faut absolument un 4x4 pour y accéder, car la montée est assez à pic. Vous avez un trajet d'environ 25 à 30 min de la ville Tamarindo avec ses multiples boutiques locales et restaurants. C'est une ville très touristique, mais ça vaut le détour si vous aimez les restos. Je vous recommande: Pangas pour son décor et ambiance exceptionnel, la nourriture et cocktails également très bonne, vous devez absolument faire une réservation car c'est un resto très populaire. Nous avons également adorés le Dragon Fly encore une fois une ambiance, service et nourriture excellente. Le tartare de thon est vraiment un must. Egalement si vous êtes fan de pizzas au four à bois, il y a ce petit restaurant un peu plus trattoria, mais le propriétaire est Italien ainsi que les 2 personnes qui font les pizzas. Juste une vraie pizza italienne Napolitaine avec si vous voulez de la Burrata juste wow!!!! Le resto se nomme El Sapo. Et finalement il y a tellement de plage incroyable à environ 40 à 1h de la Villa. Playa Grande est une de nos favorite ainsi que Playa Cunchal, Donc si vous voulez un séjour tranquille de luxe avec une vue incroyable et de multiples endroits à visiter autour c'est la Villa qu'il vous faut.

Wonderful property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool and outdoor area were 5 star luxury. Master bedroom is ginormous. Great location as it’s only a short 10 minute drive to Tamarindo. The sunsets were incredible. Definitely need a 4x4 ….the last 100’ is steep but nothing a 4x4 can’t handle easily.
